haven't been in many years. so we gave it a shot. appears clean and smelled heavy of pinesol. we were sat promptly and waited at least 15 mins for service and that wasn't a drink order it was place your order time. the service was awful. items brought out in batches, had to request utensils an item was delivered by employee with a baby on the hip. they aren't rude, just there. the breakfast was average, biscuit was very dry and the eggs way over cooked. remembered why it was so long since out last visit. this will be our final visit read more

My wife and I tried their breakfast and were quite happy with the food and the prices. The service was a decent. My peeve was the obvious neglect of building maintenance. walls badly scuffed behind chairs, full ashtrays outside, frayed carpet, etc. I think you can typically judge a restaurant by its restrooms and these failed. The fancy faucet in the men's restroom has fallen through the counter top and was just hanging by the spout on the sink bowl, cleaning supplies left under the sink, dimly lit, a dirty broken trash can, and smelled bad. I would question how the kitchen looked. The place seems to have the right parts, but they need to pay attention to the details if they want to succeed. read more

Me and my kids went to eat here today and as I was cutting through my 3 year olds pancake I see something cooked in the middle of the pancake. It was a ROACH LEG!!! I seriously have never been so disgusted in my life. Although the waitress apologized (not her fault), never did a manager or the cook come out to address the issue. My husband I were looking for a homestyle resturant and boy did we find it!!! Service was excellent and the food was tasty!!! Great restaurant, nice atmosphere, good service, and food is terrific!!! Nice local spot and it has a tea house shop attached that serves high quality teas. I would recommend the lemon green tea with lemon jelly, it's amazing. I ordered the chicken and waffles. The waffle was a Belgian style waffle compared to a more crispy Waffle House waffle but it was pretty good. The chicken wings were perfectly fried not greasy at all. I don't usually like naked fried chicken wings but these wings were amazing. I won't choose a Belgian waffle with naked style fried chicken wings but this dish really surprised me I was definitely satisfied with my meal. I got a side of biscuits and they were heavenly! Made from scratch biscuits, no pre-done biscuits at this place. I will definitely be back here when I come to visit my friend. read more

Great homestyle food that if I cant let momma cook for me, I can get the comfort food feel from here. They don't seem to hire seasoned waitstaff, which honestly is kind of cool to me. The service might make you blink and say what just happend but its refreshing to think a local shop is hiring the local teens and keeping the community turning. Hopefully the new to the industry will pick it up and shine later. They have three "menus", breakfast, lunch and dinner. Its all contained in one. The dinner portion I have never sampled because it seems out of this places league. It looks pretentious and over priced based on the rest of the menu. I haven't sampled the breakfast menu either though im sure its good. I have tried nearly everything on thier lunch menu. While none of it is anything to really write home about, its perfect when you cant get moms cooking, or the wife is out of town. I have never had anything I didn't like... well, stay away from the chicken salad and the other similar items. Like Sergio S. said, its weird. Its not bad, its just weird. Stay away from it. Take the place with a grain of salt and you will enjoy your vist. One other tip, if you are cold natured take a light sweatshirt or make sure you wear pants or something. We love this place! They are hiring as of our last visit this past weekend. Everyone we have had wait on us has been great. They do get busy, especially on weekends and Sundays after church. The breakfast is amazing! Straight up country cooking and the portions are great! They also have great chicken fried chicken and vegetable sides for lunch and dinner and everything else they put out from the kitchen looks great as well. We love the breakfast and biscuits! They also are attached to an awesome coffee and tea bar. Bubble teas and greaseless roasted coffee they roast I house! Support this local spot! I pre-ordered and they gave me the wrong meal. When I requested the meal that I ordered/paid for, she gives me a hard time, saying "we can't GIVE you a FREE meal"!!! smh... The restaurant tables were dirty. They closed due to not having sufficient waitstaff with only ONE table occupied. The front desk employee was VERY rude. This place is the BOMB!! I got the Shrimp Pasta for lunch with a house salad with ranch. That salad, so fresh, so crisp, so amazingly delicious, I could've eaten 4 more and been satisfied. But I'm glad I didn't, the shrimp pasta comes with a red and white sauce, diced tomatoes and angel hair pasta. I expected the typical tiny frozen shrimp you'd see at just about any other restaurant, but no, these suckers were UUGE!! Big ol' shrimp, and a bunch of them! The food is completely mediocre. I had a cheeseburger that was so salty it made me thirsty. The bun wasn't even warmed. The side I chose with my burger was Green beans and they were disgusting... they were CANNED! The tea was weak and the food was lukewarm. I don't understand how they're in business. You can stay home and whip up a much better meal. The restroom always smells like piss (they share it with Fusion so I have used it a lot) and the whole place has a grimy, dingy, sticky feel to it. Have been going here for 10 years. Hard to believe that all of a sudden they can not get to go orders correct. Last 4 times we have ordered items have been missing. Again today we told them when placing our order last time we were missing toast and gravy and simply asked them to be sure it was included this time. When we picked the order up the woman said it was in the bag, got home and NO TOAST NO GRAVY. Went back and the woman had a major attitude, went to the kitchen came back dropped container off and said TOAST AND GRAVY, then walked off. Tried to give this cafe another chance but the customer service is just not there regardless of the food quality. There's no manager present to complain to so you are relying on young servers to make decisions that go against customer service. Manager or owner of this business needs to understand that you are falsely advertising free refills on hot chocolate when you list all the no refill drinks but hot chocolate isn't one of them yet we are told we can not have a free refill. Pretty petty and yet still incorrect. If you updated your cafe, then take some time to update your menu to reflect current practices otherwise honor your menu as stated. There are just too many other cafes that will go the extra mile to satisfy their customers for us to settle here! read more

Never judge a book by its cover. The food here was surprisingly excellent. I had breakfast for dinner and was very impressed. The pork chops were tender and moist; the biscuits soft and fluffy; the waffle light and crisp; and the house fries were dry, but bursting with flavor. The ambiance is a mix of the young loud crowd and the standard older couple sitting in the corner. From what I could see, lots of people knew each other which makes me think they have good reasons for coming back...and I agree. We didn't get the chance to test out the cafe next door, but plan on trying it out sometime soon. Fantastic bang for the buck and I highly recommend it. read more

My friend and I once waited twenty minutes to receive our drinks and a little over 30 minutes for our salads, while we were waiting she never checked on us and was on the phone the whole time. Had been meaning to try this place out for awhile. So I had breakfast today. So here goes, price not bad ordered ala carte cuz who needs three eggs. My over medium egg was perfect the toast came hot and just about brown enough. The home fries were crispy brown just a little off flavored possibly from the griddle. My waitress seemed a little under trained but friendly and she was attentive. So far so good, unfortunately this place is a little run down and needs a deep cleaning. My menu was tattered and sticky as was the booth where I was seated. They were busy but not full, staff seemed to be wandering about aimlessly. Their time could have been spent cleaning up the food off the floor and under the tables. Will try them again just to see if the cleanliness level was not the norm. Pet Peeve. Waitresses with loose long hair that swings over your plate when they serve you. My young lady had her hair properly put up and tidy .
