INCREDIBLY accommodating for celiac disease. I put in order through Uber Eats and they care they put into ensuring the food was safe for me was evident. I haven't had French fries in 2 years and because they have a separate fryer I was able to eat them and they were DELICIOUS. This place is incredible. read more

I have been to this place multiple times now as it is a fun place to meet friends. They have great cocktails and great fries. I have tried to loaded potato fries (with green onions and sour cream, etc.) as well as the buffalo loaded fries, with celery and buffalo sauce. The way that this place works has changed a bit since I first came. They used to wait you at your table, and now you go up and order. Not a huge deal, but if you haven't been in a while you may sit a while expecting someone to come take your order. The new look is fun! Baby's totally has a Barbie vibe! It's pink, it's kitschy, it's got boozy milkshakes. It also has a nice outdoor patio and a playground--so it is family friendly too. While the food was just okay (impossible burger for vegetarians) it is definitely the friendly customer service and the ambiance of the place that should make you want to stop by. I literally downloaded the yelp app because I was so compelled to write this review. I just left baby's and will never be returning, despite living around the corner and having previously enjoyed the restaurant, even with frequent issues with service. Me and two friends waited over an hour and a half for our food. Two burgers, two fries, and a kids meal. It took so long that we decided to ask for our food to-go because we had other plans after. We then continued to wait another 25 minutes for our to-go food. We finally receive the food and get home, and half of our food is missing. None of our sides of fries or the sauces we paid for were in our to-go order. We paid almost $90 to sit and wait for over an hour and a half, get our food TO-GO after waiting forever, and then have half of it be missing when we got home. Absolutely absurd, not sure what is so difficult about making burgers and fries at a place that is known for burgers and fries. While our server was kind and it wasn't his fault, this was totally unacceptable. read more

Baby's has been a true fav since they opened for several reasons. First, they're *pup friendly* on their patio/outdoor space. They have both covered and uncovered outdoor seating. This is great for pet seating on even a not-so-sunny day. They also provide water bowls for our fur friends. Next up, they have a pretty good-sized menu with *plant-based* and *vegan* options. For the food? Flavorful, fresh, and can be easily customized. The staff is always friendly and usually, there isn't a wait. I have, however, run into private events on weekends that required prior tickets so make sure to check in on their social channels or give them a call to ensure you can get in before you make the drive over. I was excited to try Baby's after seeing they had a few vegan options on the menu. They were unfortunately out of the Impossible Burger, but I opted for my second choice of the vegan chicken tenders. I'm not sure what these are made of, but they were amazing. No reheated Gardein tenders here, these are hand breaded with some sort of fabulous seasoning and fried to perfection. And they came sitting on top of a huge portion of fries. They had a pretty big cocktail list, and they have milkshakes that you can have straight up or make boozy. AND they have some non-dairy options for those too. I also though their prices were really reasonable, especially for a restaurant downtown. I spent under $40 for 2 entrees, 2 adult beverages + tip. They have a drag brunch on the second Sunday of every month, and I can't wait to try it. read more

I've eaten burgers all over the country and the burgers here stack up with the best. I think it stacks up to the Au Cheval. That statement from me is the equivalent of saying it's unbelievable. The fries are great and you can get several dipping sauces. Their Mac n cheese is off the chain. Great drinks here too. I work with people from all over the world and when they are in town it's surprising how many of them just want a good burger. I always bring them here. read more

Came to Baby's to explore their gluten free options since I am Celiac. I spent quite a bit of time talking with Kaiden the manager. He was very knowledgeable about the menu and assured me my food would be handled safely. The food was amazing but Kaiden's service made the experience super memorable. in short.. this place is pretty great. if you're expecting great service, don't, since baby's seems to have the common issue of "not enough staff." after being seated we waited 15 minutes before anyone came over for even a drink order.. and the restaurant was dead. these things happen, it is what it is, but it's not like we were lost in a sea of people. okayokay anyway -- about the food. i got the beer and shot combo for $8 (nice deal, honestly) as well as an impossible burger and vegan talbott fries, plus split the fried shrooms. it all went down easyyy. the vegan version of the fries could have benefited from something other than those crappy mccormick bac'n bits, but everything about them was great. i appreciated that whatever pickled jalapenos they use were actually spicy, if a little TOO plentiful to boot. the mushrooms were what you'd expect, i think: basically, if you like mushrooms, go for it. if you don't, they're still sort of like gelatinous dirt. but i like that.. for some reason. they were fried perfectly, so that helps. more vegan options would be awesome here, but i'll take what i can get. the whole aesthetic of the place is fantastic -- and they have a pretty good-sized menu with a lot of drinks -- but like i said, they're plagued by having a short staff. despite that though, when they were able to stop by our table, they were incredibly helpful and nice. ah, hell with it. 5/5. read more

Dud waiter who hardly spoke, threw straws at the table, and seemed put out when we asked a question. Served a burger with a very long, light colored, semi curly hair that I pulled off before trying to eat. Bonus on the cruelty free options that don't involve killing animals or subjecting them to inhumane treatment for milk or eggs. read more

We are regulars here. Well, as regular as we are any place else. Our order is the same every time. Strut burger and fried chicken sandwich with a bit of extra white Alabama sauce. Cut them in half and we can each enjoy both. We LOVE the food! The drinks are usually top notch also. And, the service is usually good. But, this time. WOW! Cute little place on Talbot St. they have a dedicated parking lot across from the restaurant but it only holds about 10 cars. There looked to be free street parking all around as well. You order at the counter and they bring your food out to you via a number card. The service was extremely quick. We barely waited 5 minutes for everything. My burger was pretty good. It wasn't exactly hot but it was pretty tasty. The garlic aioli was really flavorful. We tried the basic seasoned fries. The were reminiscent of McDonald's fries with seasoning. One of the loaded fry options might have been a better choice. They had soft serve in quite a few flavors including a vegan option and they serve alcohol. We sat outside in their covered patio and the breeze was nice. It was very clean. All the tables were spotless. I would definitely go back to try a dessert or another burger. read more

Beware of Baby's!!! I went to Baby's because I had two Fox59 Gift Certificates to use. Just to walk in and see a sign on the door that says "We are currently not accepting Fox 59 gift certificates." Fine. I was willing to pay full price so I sat down. I asked the waiter what happened. They said "A lot of people have been bringing in fraudulent gift certificates"... (1) this doesn't make sense -- the QR codes literally scan to an online database ... (2) basically every other restaurant in Indy has figured it out, so why can't Baby's??? I tried to look past it and ordered some food. Got a Boozy Milkshake... which by the way is a milkshake with a $6 shooter that you pour into the milkshake yourself. I got excited because it said the Saturday happy hour special was 1/2 price milkshakes!!! I pointed it out to the server to make sure we would get the deal. He said Yes! And then 5 minutes later he came back and said it doesn't count for the happy hour deal... because it's alcohol??!?!?! Only the regular milkshakes count apparently. Keep in mind, this is a regular milkshake with a shooter on the side. To sum it up, these are my takeaways- (1) if you are in the mood to feel scammed, go to Baby's! (2) If you have a Fox59 Gift Certificate... Baby's was unable to tell me when they would take them again. So you might be losing money!!!! FYI - Plan Accordingly (3) This was a decent burger! If I wasn't so irate about them refusing to take a gift certificate that they authorized and refusing to fulfill an advertised happy hour deal, I would have liked my experience. Baby's Drag Brunch! Second Sunday's of the month is my new place of worship! Grab up tickets when they come available ($5ea) and it gets you in! They offer a $25 prefixed menu that's three courses (app, entree and dessert). We loved everything and the cocktails are so delicious! The show was amazing! Bring all your $1 bills and tip the amazing talented performers. They really know how to put on a show! Note the show was 3 acts so be sure to bring enough dollars! This was the longest brunch drag show I've been to and we ran out of dollars. Each month they offer something different so you could go every month! This is a trendy restaurant with an old school dinner type feel. There is some free street parking available here, but they also have a huge private lot. The place has a kind of bright pink theme and have a cool "Grease" kind of vibe. You know, the movie with John Travolta and Oliva Newton John. They have a full bar area that you can sit at, as well as a decent sized dining area, a huge enclosed patio and an outdoor patio area. The enclosed patio has heaters and was very warm on a cold day. That is where I ate. The outdoor patio has a fire pit and a small play structure/ art thing. There is not a lot of seating out there. I guess they took some of it out for the winter. The staff there is friendly and I was greeted and seated right away. You can get your order to go or dine in. The restaurant has two entrances/exits. One in the front that leads to the main dinning area and one that goes through the patio area and leads to the restaurant's counter. The menu has burgers, fish sandwiches, tenderloins. fried chicken, salads, macaroni and cheese and fries. They have a few signature burgers, but the majority are build your own from their many toppings and sauces. I got the build your own double patty burger with bacon, lettuce, tomato, caramelized onions, and sassy sauce. I topped my meal with a side of fries. My meal was ready in about 5 minutes and was hot and fresh. It was pretty good and my burger was packed, which of course made it a bit messy. It was a lot of food. I was stuffed by the time I was done. I will warn you that the place is a bit on the pricey side. I paid about $22 for my meal. Other than the price. I really enjoyed my meal. This is a cute local restaurant that has a lot of personality. I recommend checking this place out. read more

This is the type of place that puts a smile on your face the minute you walk through the door. The decor is bright and retro cheerful. We started with drinks: white peppermint milkshake spiked (of course) and the Bend and Snap. The milkshake was super cute and tasted divine. The Bend and Snap was sweet and fruity. Next up the food; I had the strut burger minus the bacon. It's a smash burger that is F A N T A S T I C. It's a seasoned juicy beef patty x2 with crispy edges which is topped with smoked Gouda, mango chutney and a Mayo type sauce. Oh and sweet pickles round out the perfect bite. I would order this again in a heartbeat. We also had the fried buffalo chicken sandwich, no cheese but add jalapeño. Let me tell you...this was a healthy chicken patty which was made of chicken breast meat. Moist, tender and appropriately swimming in hot sauce..thank you BABY. This place is awesome and I finally got the chance to check out a drag brunch! It was such a good time, it's a ticketed event once a month on sundays. The drag show was amazing, very well done and full of talent, I loved the songs and all of the beautiful costumes! Being able to check out a brunch menu is cool as well, we started with loaded fries that had some delicious bacon on top. The mail course was a chicken and waffle sandwich that was to die for, savory and sweet the perfect combo! It even came with warm syrup an awesome touch. I had a great cocktail called by Felicia that was refreshing and summary and we shared a pitcher of purple is the new pink, and it had butterfly pea blossom gin in it, so tasty. When in Indianapolis, I'm always on the lookout for reasonably priced, reasonably fast and really great food options for meetings with coworkers, etc. Baby's may become a go-to option and is within a quick drive of downtown for those in a hurry. My coworker ordered the impossible burger and a side salad. I won't judge her. But she said it was great. I ordered the good stuff - a double burger and onion rings. My burger was fantastic, and the onion rings were fantastic. I ordered a large rings, and honestly am not sure that's what I got - they were good, I ate them fast, and wanted more. It wasn't too much for one person. The space is nice - offering both inside and outside (covered patio) dining - in a garage door format. It can get noisy outside with the echo, especially if it's raining. They recently renovated and it looks great - however it's now counter service which I don't prefer. I liked having servers come to the table. Now you order, take a number, and they deliver your food when it's ready. Better than fast food, but I really preferred having the option to sit down, decide what i want to order, and have traditional service. That's a personal preference, and it isn't impacting my decision to eat there again, but I like what I like. They do offer a variety of milkshakes, including 'boozy shakes' which would likely interest me after 5:00, but I didn't try them. As you can see, I ate healthy (DWS) so it was H20 to balance the onion rings. I'll return! read more

We loved the outdoor space at Baby's! We actually drove to three different restaurants this night looking for outdoor seating (because it was November but was still in the 50s!) but they were all closed for the season. Thankfully we remembered Baby's, made a quick call and they verified their outdoor seating is always open. So we came for a quick meal. We had burgers and fries and a strawberry shake. We also tried a cocktail. Everything was good. The only thing I wasn't crazy about was the ketchup, too sweet for me. We were lucky enough to visit when they had live music. I have only been to Baby's for their Drag Show Brunch. I will most likely visit again to give a another review. I had never been to a Drag show before so I though Baby's was a great place to start! Here are things I learned: Baby's Drag Brunch is the second Sunday of the month. Tickets go on sale online the fourth Sunday of the previous month. You buy a $5 ticket ($7 with taxes) online and pay for your meal there. It may or may not be brunch. Meaning, that one month I saw a friend post that she had waffles are their meal at the drag show. When I went we had Fried chicken sandwich meals. So the meal changes monthly Meal is $25. The first plate is a shared appetizer for the table. Main course and dessert are not shared. Drinks are a separate charge. There are vegan and gluten free options. Bring dollar bills for tips! I had a lot of fun with my friends. There were a variety of performers and they walked around so you could appreciate their performance up close! read more

Few places offer a smashed Impossible burger, and they do it well here. It was seasoned well too. They have a great indoor and outdoor patio space with tables for groups of all sizes. Hadn't been here in a year and I'm not sure what's happened but this place has really gone down hill. It's now a seat-yourself, order-at-the-counter, take-number concept, which in and of itself is fine. But we ended up paying the same prices for next to no service. The cocktails are now all entirely batched and not good at all, just tasted like sugar and some mixers. This is especially disappointing as we really loved the cocktails before. Our burgers were burn to a crisp and the fries were mostly good, but very greasy soggy at the end. I am sad the Baby's I enjoyed so much has slipped so much :( read more

A fun family restaurant with burgers and chicken. It's in a great location and has a pink motif that my wife really enjoyed. They have plenty of tasty shakes and ice cream treats. And what I wish I had taken advantage of is the very friendly pet friendly environment outside in the seating there.
