If I could give it slightly above a 4 I would. Started with the poutine. It was excellent. Went with the family and ordered 3 sandwiches and a salad. All were very good and big enough to bring home as leftovers. Had a birthday desert at the end. My wife ordered a drink (complementary for her bday) and the rest of us got sodas. The only reason I'm not giving 5 stars is that even after the free drink, with tip, it cost 150 bucks for salad and some burgers...with an app. I'd try it again.

Stopped in to grab a bite before a show at the argyle theater. Had the avocado grilled cheese and coconut margarita then a rum punch. Never had an avocado grilled cheese but it did not disappoint. The margarita has light coconut cream which was enjoyable. I did not expect to enjoy the rum punch as much as I did. It was 10/10. Everythjng was delicious. The waitress was attentive as we sat by the bar. She was quick and friendly which is always helpful. I would definitely come back. We were able to eat a quick bite, have 2 drinks and walk around the street with more than 15 minutes to spare. Moving forward I will park then come to this bar before heading into the argyle theater. Saves you alot of walking time and frustration.

The burgers were very juicy and good. Delicious French fries and Onions rings. The milkshake was very weak and runny. Taste was meh. The server was nice, but not as attentive as I would like. Nice place for lunch or dinner, but I would get dessert from somewhere else next time.

This place is amazing, i ordered the main street mex burger and it blew me away especially with the type cheese on it, and the bun doesn't get soggy and its so good. The service might be a little slow but it's worth it because the food is that good. I also got a black and white shake it was a 10/10. Their chipotle aioli sauce is super good with their onion rings. If you are looking for a burger spot come here.

Another great lunch at Babylon Burger Bar. The burger was great. They have a build your own burger option which is great. I tried to make a healthier choice by substituting the beef burger for a turkey burger, but after I added all of my choices to the burger it was far from healthy; never the less the burger was great. My server Alyssa was great. She engaged me in great conversation throughout my stay, while at the same time making sure that I was enjoying my meal.

Jessie was great and made amazing spicy margaritas and apple cider margaritas! Excellent service.

Food was great, & John at the bar was fantastic friendly, attentive, and made sure everything was perfect throughout our meal. Great service and a wonderful experience Will keep coming here!

Stopped here on our way back from beach- The whole town has a cute vibe. This place is mostly busy but you can get table in few mins even without resrvations. Their shakes also looked cool and chunky. Tried a few of their burgers and all of them were quiet good. Very juicy and freshly made- Servers are one of the most friendliest i have ever seen. Overall nice experience.

Wait for a table? Quick bite at the bar instead!

Came to town to see show at Argyle theater. Walked into here for quick bite & drink before show. There was wait for tables but we scored seats at bar where you can also enjoy the full menu. We were greeted so warmly & welcoming by John the bartender. Enjoyed a very cold local beer on tap. John was super polite, eager to help and came over quickly with menus and took our order. Went with risky choice of Drunken Goat Burger. I don't know it just sounded amazing. Whipped goat cheese, some kind of sauce, candied bacon and fries. Could be great, might be eww. It was seriously the BEST burger I have ever had! Generously sized patty, fluffy bun with perfect crispy to it. Burger was Juicy, cooked to perfection and the flavors were so unique in the best way possible. Seriously would have licked the paper on my tray if it was socially acceptable. Fries were crispy with just the right amount of salt, perfectly portioned to compliment my burger with a white dipping sauce of I don't know what but it was amazing. Hubby had a build your own burger and he said it was amazing as well. I don't come to Babylon often, but when we do...definitely returning here if we want burgers. It's that good!

I ordered a chicken salad of some kind with avocado and salad. My son ordered the mac and cheese - it was the highlight of dinner! Absolutely delicious. His friend got the Thai calamari which was decent until he got to the bottom. It was soaked in seasoning and too sweet. My daughter got the buttered pasta - children's portion. I'll let the photo speak for itself. It was drenched in butter. On the bright side - service was great, most of the meals were excellent, waffle fries on point. I mentioned the pasta and showed our server the pool of butter. He took it off our bill without even asking. So ... 4 stars - 5 stars for local business service and just lost the one star for the less than stellar meal and app. Will probably be back!

The Brixton is a beautiful restaurant with very relaxed and casual vibes. The word around town is that their drinks are awesome. What about their food, though? They originally would not seat us in the middle of the afternoon because most of the empty tables were reserved. We had to request to sit outside, which was empty, before they decided to serve us. Odd that they did not even offer that to us. The General Tso' Cauliflower was the only great thing served to us. It is incredibly crispy and flavorful. You almost forgot that you were eating a piece of vegetable at times. The Short Rib Brisket Sesame burger was shocking. $18 for two White Castles-sized sliders. It was easily consumed, and I was left much to be desired. This is most definitely an appetizer item, not an entree. The Chicken Waffle was good. Nicely deep-fried and packs a lot of flavor. The waffle looked dubious. If I had to guess, it might not be mad fresh to order. Essentially, it's 3 drumsticks/wings over a possibly frozen Eggo waffle. I would recommend a second dish if you are looking to get full. The Steak frites and Eggs Benedict were the final dishes served. It is hard to mess these dishes up, but the ribeye was nicely seasoned and cut up. The dishes were nicely displayed. Overall, this is just an OK experience. When the deep-fried cauliflower appetizer is the most memorable dish here, it is quite alarming. Portion sizes are on the small end, and none of the flavors for the entrees really stuck out. Perhaps I will come here strictly for the drinks next time.

Potatoes au gratin & Brussels. They were delicious. My one piece of advice; If you want to be an upscale American/steakhouse with art deco kind of vibes, jazz nights, etc., they NEED to learn how to make proper cocktails. I ordered a Manhattan. Don't assume bourbon. A traditional Manhattan is made with Rye. It's supposed to be spirit forward with the beautiful sweet vermouth to balance with 2 dashes ango. Express Orange and dress the peel, or not, doesn't matter. Most bartenders drown cocktails, this one included. And NEVER serve in a martini glass :) Nitpicky but only bc I loved everything else. They just need to learn how to make proper cocktails. The details matter! I'll be back for that Snake River Steak!!

This brings us to The James, managed by Joe Giannino under the fat-cat "Standard Hospitality Group," owned by Andrew Affa & Steve Squirtiro. It's hard owning a business and keeping it profitable but not when it's an almost algorithmic formula driven money extraction system so commonly found today. It's more difficult dining out in the world today when it feels like hospitality is vacating. Vining more about high-revenue than humanity. By very definition, I wouldn't call a good portion of the hospitality industry hospitality at all, and I certainly wouldn't say the James offers any. What I love about food is what it does for the soul, & what I've always loved about providing and caring for people is the sense of community; connection during good times and difficult ones alike; That's hospitality to me. Breaking bread is one of the most fundamental human gestures of generosity and true wealth. When you have it, you share it not squander it, not hoard it or treat it like it's something to take from others and line your pockets with. That's why this experience disappointed me so much, because I believe with the myriad of options, we must be far more selective and far more supportive of local and smaller family run establishments. Today, for a table they would still fill and never notice, I tried to cancel a reservation out of respect -- respect for the staff, for other guests, and for my damn self. Being charged a cancellation fee when a mom is sick on Mothers Day, is not hospitality, it is not empathy. It is greed disguised as brand experience self worth. I have supported the Arlo from this same restaurant group in the past and probably would have happily returned too, based on the menu alone, but coldhearted, rigid policies like this change how a place feels. There are many family-run restaurants that understand flexibility and empathy. That kind of environment matters to me, and this experience will forever make me decide to support those places instead. I've recently learned to name positive outcomes when something negative arises, so I believe this time, it's great that it only cost me fifty bucks to never give this group another dime. Typical corporate hospitality is more what the James can offer. These types of COMPANIES feed themselves, not the community.

His only suggestion was to put the siracha on the side since that's not a traditional gyro ingredient. On another bold move, I ordered the Ramen and added braised short ribs. Wow!! I don't know who they have cooking in the back making these authentic meals but this was some of the best Ramen I've ever had. It was that good. The wedding ceremony took place outside, where rows of chairs were set up and we all had gorgeous waterfront views. After the ceremony, we walked into the building's first floor for the cocktail hour. Simply put, the food was amazing. The cocktail hour alone could have served as a meal. There was a big central charcuterie station of cold appetizers - think meats, cheeses, fruits, and crudities. The four corners of the room each housed a food station - a carving station, sushi/sashimi, pasta, and Asian stir fry. Oh, and there were tons of butler service passed hors oeuvres too. Next, we walked upstairs to the large ballroom for the main meal. Dinner service started with a "Burrata Caprese" salad with a big hunk of creamy mozzarella served in a dressed salad with grilled bread. As for the dinner entrees, would you believe a choice of SEVEN entrees?? I kid you not -- seven entrees - Branzino, chicken, pork, beef, shrimp, Surf and Turf, and eggplant. My table had just about all of the choices, and everything disappeared. After the meal, there was an apple tart with ice cream and wedding cake. All of the people I interacted with, the hosts, the bartenders, the servers and the clearers were super polite and friendly. For a cocktail, I had an Old Fashioned made with Woodford Reserve. For dessert, I had the Chocolate Dubai Martini. The Au Poivre Sauce was on par with any steakhouse in NYC, the oysters tasted fresh caught, the Old Fashioned was magnificent with Bourbon Cherries, and the Dubai Martini (a dessert, not a cocktail) was rich and chocolatey. The food and drink are a little pricey for what you get, but that is the story with most restaurants these days. The crowd was a little noisy.
