I used to frequent the Barton Springs location (RIP) but now live closer up North so decided to come here for dinner with some friends. We ordered a queso to share (not the best queso in town but it gets the job done) and I opted for the cheese enchiladas. The portion was big and absolutely delicious. Surprisingly, I had never had their purple marg as I really dislike grapes but decided to give it a shot. It was actually super tasty and tasted nothing like grape! Sweet surprise to have this gem. Friends and I had food and drinks here and shout out to our server Roger who was very attentive and made sure our table was attended to. Best mango margarita I had! You can choose indoors and outdoors but it was hot and the indoors felt like outdoors without the heat since we were sat next to a window with huge tree! Service was good. Taco, flauta and chalupa all had a stale taste. Chips and salsa were made fresh or at least My third visit and I will say I doubt I'll be back. First visit food wasn't that great, second visit service was terrible, and this time food was a disappointment. Place where I sat was clean, patio looks worn down. Unfortunately the other reviews are true as they come. I don't drink so I cannot speak to the alcoholic beverages. Hopefully they read the reviews and make some changes. Baby A's is a fun spot for hanging out with friends. I've been a few times because their margaritas are super popular. They are known for their really strong purple margs. The purple marg was fun to try but it just tastes like a normal margarita. I prefer the mango margarita because its slightly sweeter and really tasty. Last time I went, I got the enchiladas. They let me do one chicken and one veggie which was really nice of the staff. If you're looking for a spot with a fun vibe Baby A's is a great place to go with friends. read more

Service- extremely inconsistent Food- OMG sometimes it tastes like you are eating out of the Dead Sea it is sooooo salty. When it's good- fan favorites are taco salad. That crispy tortilla bowl is a real treat Puffy tacos- most of the time these are perfection. Sometime the chicken is over cooked and mushy- watch that One of our folks likes your tortilla soup- this is where the Dead Sea comment comes from. He's the only one who can eat it due to the saltiness and yesterday was way too salty he could barely choke it down. The mixed fajitas were great, well-grilled with a terrific amount of lettuce, tomatoes, cheese, and sour cream on the side. However, we only received two tortillas. Seriously? The chicken enchiladas were tender, and the verde sauce, flavorful. The charro beans were standard beans and fine. Finally, let's discuss the chips and salsa. Baby Acapulco is a great spot to just chill and catch up. It's clean and really spacious. It sort of has a cabana feel despite being off a main road across from a movie theater. Good place for a casual date of a movie and dinner now that I think about it. I've been here as part of a couple and once with a party of 6. Service has been absolutely on top of things every single time I go. The drinks are great. I always suggest Baby As when I get the random summertime craving for a Dos-a-Rita with friends. The frozen cocktail selection is amazing. No one has had any complaints. There's plenty of seating outdoors, indoors, and at the bar so bring all your people. The food is just fine. I went to Baby Acapulco recently with my mother and some very old friends of the family... we hadn't seen each other in decades. Entering the place is setup to have some breezy areas outside and air conditioned areas inside. We opted for the inside area this time because it was pretty darned hot out. I am not usually a drinker, but this time I got a margarita, as everyone else was having a drink as well. Peer pressure yay! The margarita was nice, but it is definitely not something that I would go for every time. For the main meal, I opted for the burrito, and it was tasty. Frankly it was pretty standard Tex-Mex fare that you can find at any Tex-Mex place across the country, but it wasn't bad. Just... average. This was at a time of the week where things were just not that busy, so we were able to talk and catch up on life over our meal. We enjoyed it. Would I go back? If the stars aligned in the right way, sure... but I feel that there are places in the area that are just as good and I would rather explore them than go to the same place over and over again. read more

Have thought this location to be closed and stumbled upon it tonight. Was open. Tried it out. Had beef fajita's. The meat was excellent and not grisly like some other places! Had corn tortillas. Service was outstanding. They have a team approach to serving the table and it worked well. TV's in the bar area. Typical decor. Manager brought the food and checked on us a couple of times. The service wasn't the best from the bartender, but the food was delicious. Very delicious carnitas tacos. The scenery did not disappoint, but when it came to checking out the bills were off. I'm a sucker when it comes to numbers so I definitely take notice. I left without adding gratuity only simply because with the bill there was an up charge of some sort to where the gratuity was already included. As of today this will be my last time visiting this place.. Customer service has completely gone down hill. I have been coming here for at least 10 years. This year the turn over rate has been very noticeable especially at the bar. I was coming here mostly everyday after work but that has come to a complete stop today. Word to the wise when you or should i say your bartender comes to work with an attitude and treats people like they could be doing something better with their time then taking care of the customer, that's the first sign that maybe a change of venue is needed. When I come in and sit myself at the bar 10 minutes before the next customers sit themselves I expect to be serviced first, not when you feel like serving me. If you feel like throwing the napkin and the straw on the bar just remember I'm not your dog or someone that you dislike.... I'm am a paying customer... Although my business will not be missed I'm pretty sure you will manage to run off some other customers...By the way I'm not the only regular who has experience these episodes. When I bring this to the attention of management I would normally expect some kind of professional response but that was not the case in this situation.. I'm a customer experience manager for a pretty large corporation and If i were to ever hear of or see any team member treating a customer in this manner, we would have a very long talk that would probably end in termination. Baby ain't so bad. A welcoming, large, Cantina style Mexican restaurant in the hotel and shopping district of Domain. The outdoor deck/patio is large and well shaded. The service is efficient and friendly. The music can be a bit tacky (e.g., Boyz to Men) though it adds to the informal vibe. The food is average--not bad but nothing to write home about. I had the grilled Acupulco Fish Tacos (fried is another option). Good blackened flavor, just not exceptionally fresh or high quality ingrediants. The house salsa was smooth while standard and not entirely memorable. If you're looking for an informal atmosphere with plenty of seating, Acupulco may speak baby talk to you. read more

Well I was with my family and we were on a timed schedule because we had to be home to get my brother off the bus . Our waitresses name was Patricia . Patricia had gave us chips and salsa we asked for cheese we got the cheese the waitress knew we needed more chips so we had to flag somebody else down to get more chips we waited a good 7 minutes for the chips ( my family hates cold and hard cheese and what we're paying 9 bucks for a cold cheese ) . As my mom was looking for our waitress to take our order she saw the people in the kitchen just goofing off . Now we're waiting on our food it's been a good 20 minutes wait . She didn't even come to ask us if we wanted refills on our drink . But yet we had seen everyone else in their getting refills more chips their food all that. read more

We had a yelp perk to go to at the theater nearby, so we decided to try Baby A's out. They do have their own parking lot and the place itself has a lot of room. There is a bar, plenty of seating, TVs & outdoor seating as well. You will be greeted by a host then be seated. Our server was Cesar and he made the experience all the better with his personality and jokes. I add a star just for a server being great at their job and making me laugh. I was interested in trying a margarita but noticed they looked like they're all frozen but there are a few that come on the rocks. He was nice enough to have us try their famous purple margarita to which is said to be the strongest there. I asked him which are on the rocks then he mentioned a watermelon one and stopped him there. lol The watermelon margarita on the rocks was so delicious and you can taste bits of watermelon too . They give you some chips & salsa that are good. I ordered flautas plate & hubby ordered beef enchiladas. They were good but nothing to rave about and I was expecting at least four of them but got three flautas with rice and beans. The enchiladas were two of them. So glad to stumble across this Tex-Mex spot! The food was super yummy as well as the drinks. The vibes of this place is very casual and you can tell that this is where locals like to hangout. While it was too hot out when stopping by to enjoy the patio seating, I can't wait to come back when the weather gets cooler to sit with the oak trees and the lighting. When it comes to the food, the salsas were great. The red and green each packed a punch with heat, but not enough to keep you from coming back from more and it's a delayed type of heat which is nice! The queso was tasty as was the Famous Baby A's soup. The pastor tacos were also super yummy! And the Superman margarita was great as well, without being overwhelmingly strong!
