You never really know what you're going to get when you go to a gun range, and these two were very safety conscious, direct, and sincere. I felt safer because of their actions, and honestly that's everything you want from a gun range. I can see how some people with ego problems may be offended by strict rules, but I personally would feel more comfortable bringing newbies here rather than anywhere else. The range itself is also strangely idyllic, if a little rustic. There's a river back behind the lane of trees that marks the back boundary, so there were butterflies and caterpillars and wasps flitting about; some long legged water birds would fly above us sometimes. The whole firing line stopped for about five minutes so a cat could wander itself across the field. It was really peaceful. Check your ego at the door and just have a nice time. It doesn't need to be complicated.

We used the rifle range that extends from 100 yards out to 700 yards. If you have the equipment (appropriate scope and rifle) along with the ability to demonstrate 1 MOA accuracy beginning at 100 yards, you are able to progress further out at 100 yard increments. I really enjoyed speaking with Walter and found him to be very helpful. I will most definitely return. The rifle range has berms in a straight line every 100 yards, from 100 to 600 - plus a way to shoot diagonally st 700 yards. The concrete benches are adjustable and sturdy, although the bench on the right needs to be re-anchored to the ground. Range-owner Walter is very friendly and easy to work with. He provides one blank target-board per visit, and you can attach any number of targets to it. If you want to shoot at different ranges without moving targets, you can buy additional cardboard target-backing. Very casual and easy to shoot here, and as I said earlier - the land is beautiful! They are always attentive. I've visited on Wednesday for Ladies Day a couple of times. There is always someone available in the shooting area for questions and concerns. That person will offer suggestions or assistance from time to time. When we visit on other days they are not "standing at the ready" in the same way, so that is definitely a benefit for ladies who are trying to get more comfortable with shooting. I'm not very experienced yet and they have been so helpful as I learn. Silly little things happen when you are trying to reload or the gun jams or something. They have really helped me build confidence. We have visited during weekdays and on weekends and it's always been a positive experience. We have not been there in the evening. I would definitely recommend Texas Legends.

316 is the real deal…read more I have both of my young sons (ages 7 and 5) training here, and I can honestly say--there's not a better Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu gym in the state of Texas. I know that's a bold statement, but it's the truth. The coaches at 3:16 are top-notch BJJ fighters with a wealth of knowledge. But here's what really sets them apart: they know how to teach. I've known a lot of people who are great at something, but they struggle to transfer that skill to others. That's not the case here. The team at 3:16 teaches through critical, rigorous training, all wrapped in genuine love and compassion. I've watched my boys grow--not just in skill, but in character. They're learning high-level jiu-jitsu, competing at a high level, and becoming better young men in the process. Because of that, at 43 years old, I decided to join 3:16 myself. So this part is for the men. Life, family, and business bring a lot of stress. I've turned to different things over the years to cope, but nothing helped quite like this. When you're on the mat, nothing else exists. You step into a mental space where the world's stresses melt away. It's the healthiest escape I've ever found. I highly recommend 3:16 to any man looking for a meaningful, effective way to deal with stress, anxiety, and fatigue. This place has done more for me--mentally, spiritually, and physically--than anything else ever has. I can't recommend 316 enough.
