The grounds are very nice and well maintained, and the pricing is very reasonable. Unfortunately, the staff was a disappointment. The rifle range master was extremely rude, making faces and acting annoyed with anyone who wasn't as experienced as he was. The pistol range master was more relaxed, and he did become friendlier toward the end. Inside the shop, most of the staff were not much better--although one gentleman and one lady were pleasant. LADIES BEWARD: This range is not for women, or at least that is the way they made me feel. The range is not feel very welcoming. It's a shame, because there aren't many outdoor ranges in the area. I always believed a range should be a place to learn, practice, and feel comfortable, but that wasn't the case here. I was embarrassed because I was the one who recommended it to my group. read more

went to the range this morning and got there a few minutes early and the gate was still shut so i just waited there cuz no where else to park they opened at 1 pm and did not open the gate to the parking lot until 1pm and then the short red head gave me shit for getting there and parking in front of the gate. They have a little sign that say dont block the gate and no parking. So make sure you dont get there early because they will treat you like a piece of crap. O and by the was there is no where to park to wait for them to open. read more

This range and gun store is amazing! I can't say enough good things about these people. This is the only shooting range where I feel safe to take my children because every single person that works there is retired military or law enforcement. Everyone working their knows everything they should about gun safety, range safety and they're also very kind and easy to get along with. It's always such a positive environment and a safe environment. It's also a family friendly environment, I've watched the owner and his wife raise their child who is frequently there and according to Stephanie she runs things. It's just a wonderful environment. They don't gouge on ammo prices, targets, range fees. You can swap ranges by just going to the office and telling them where you want to move to. It's just the perfect shooting environment with a bunch of wonderful people. I would live there if I could. read more

Great atmosphere. Staff is very helpful, polite, and informative. On my first visit, I was given the help I needed to get started on the range almost immediately. Seems like everyone, including other customers, helps you out if you have any questions or just need help with setting up to shoot. My first time going past 100yds, and some folks helped me to get on to 300 and 400yds within my first few shots!! Had a great time!! The long-range platforms could use some TLC and more protection from the weather. But it's still a great little spot to send lead down range!!! read more

This is by far the best outdoor gun range I ever been too! Everyone is friendly and I consider this place to be super safe. My favorite thing to do is get a bolt action rifle or precession rifle and shoot targets away at 300 yards. I've even used the pistol range, favorite though is rifle range. Ammo is decently priced, previous time I was there they had a wide range of guns to rent and prices are great. I believe it was $20 to rent a rifle, buy ammo, and then being able to switch guns if I wanted to try something else. I also learned my last time there they have a private rifle booth which I'd recommend just because you don't have to call a cease fire with everyone else before you go out to change an check on your target. read more

Dad wanted to take my friend and I out for shooting, that's his thing but not so much mine. I do follow suit though because it's good to keep up my skills in how to safely handle a firearm. My dad usually brings his own guns and provides the safety equipment too (ear and eye protection). I think they either sell the goods or may also lend that out, not quite sure. The grounds itself is ample for such activities and they definitely have some great rules to ensure that everyone enjoys their time there as well as remaining uber safe! You have to sign a waiver prior to heading out back. The staffer working the counter made sure we all understood what was expected of us so there was no room for confusion. The best range for the price. All those other ones charge you for a one time membership or something crazy this is place is straight up with their pricing and is definitely way cheaper to shoot here with some friends. The range fee allows you to switch back and forth from the pistol and rifle range and they actually have a long distance one if you want to reach out to 400 yards. If you want to get your John Wick on they also got tactical bays you can rent. They do active duty, military,veteran, and women's discounts on certain days. I'm not sure exactly when but all this info they got directly on their website. Finally made it back here again after more than a year, and wow have they improved! There's a new gun store, classrooms, countless improvements to the range itself, improved parking areas which are paved with rock. The list goes on. I was very impressed with the professionalism of the employees, and was surprised at how well mannered the customers were when I arrived on the line. I'm so tired of dealing with the Arrogant Pricks that work behind the counter. I have tried on two occasions 2 use them as an FFL and to get them to do some work on my AR. But, they won't listen when I try to describe the problem. They interrupt me because they assume they know what I'm saying when they don't. So, there's lots of people I can use as an FFL and there's several people who do work on AR-15, so I will never set foot in B tactical again. Plus, they're too damn expensive. read more

Took our LTC course here. Small groups which make it nice to ask questions. The course was well covered for the written test. Instructor spoke clearly. Information was clean and consistent. They had breakfast stuff and coffee here for those taking the class. Tip here is know your weapon, have it oiled before shooting range test. The instructor is not teaching you how to use your weapon or load it. Take the time to learn how to shoot before taking the class. Buy good ammo for the test. If you come prepared and get proper training it is a great and easy class and test. read more

I have taken my son shooting out there a few times and it is amazing. Staff is helpful and friendly. Stephanie handles the front desk area/range and she is always ready to help. John is one of the range officers that helped me sight and zero my rifle with new scope. Range is safe with everyone working together to have a fun time. I have been to other ranges where the staff is uncaring, annoyed or seem bored to even be there. They have pistol and rifle ranges. My favorite is the 300 meter steel targets. Please clean up all your brass and trash before you leave the range. I hope they stay open forever and continue to expand and improve ranges. I have a membership to Garland Public Shooting Range which is 10 minutes from my house but I would rather drive 30 to go to B Tactical. Great prices, fair rules, polite and respectful ROs. This is a family run range of veterans. Family friendly. I went there for the first time with my dad last week. New to the outdoor range scene, it was a breath of fresh air. Nice shooting stalls, with dual benches for your rifles. They allow you to keep your own brass after the line is Cold. They also have a very nice 100 and 200 yard range. About 16 total stalls, with tables behind the benches for reloading and cleaning. The employees are extremely respectful, as are most of the customers there. Bring ear plugs because some of the folks shoot some very large rounds. The range fees are low. 2 sets of over the ear and 1 set of plugs, plus 2 targets and the lane for 2 people ran $36. I believe the offer discounts for veterans. read more

First time to B-Tactical this weekend and instantly became my new favorite range. As a member at Frisco Gun Club, B-Tac will most likely cause me to not renew my membership at FGC. Great facility and most of all, amazing staff. They have spotting scopes, ear & protection, firearms of all types for rent if you need. The main reason going there was to try out their 300 & 400 yard long rifle lanes. Since we were first time visitors, they wanted us to start at the 50 yard benches to make sure we were on paper before moving onto the 100 yard bench to shoot the qualification. After a couple shots (literally), we moved to the 100 yard bench where we verified our zero then shot the qualification which consisted of landing 3 shots within a Diamond target that they give you. You are then updated in the system for being qualified with that particular firearm and then ready for the long rifle lanes. During cease fires (roughly every 15 minutes), it was nice to take a break, grab a drink, and chat it up with the other shooters and RO's. We spoke with 3 different RO's and they were all very down to earth guys. As all ranges, follow the rules and listen to the RO's. The RO's are accommodating and helpful and creates a very comforting level of safety without the feeling of being micromanaged. I want to also add that since we were first time visitors, we were treated professionally and not like some other ranges where it seems you are inconveniencing them for being there. read more

Nice DIY style outdoor range. You just need a tote or range gear, your firearm and supplies, drivers id, $18.50, and good manners. They expect visitors to clean up all trash and brass. I did not have to buy a membership or make any reservations. Staff members were friendly and helpful. I think this company has or had a similar range near Farmersville. I will come back here for the courtesy and lack of hassles. Ps bring your tape, targets, and earplugs. But if you forget, BT can probably sell what you forgot. read more
