They were able to schedule a next-day appointment and arrived on time. The locksmith was courteous, professional, creative, and willing to take constructive input. In fact, he worked collaboratively with us to solve a difficult problem with our french door handle. I've worked with other locksmiths in the area and have been disappointed. The appointment today was to correct some of the improper work done by previous locksmiths. The technician arrived with all the parts necessary to complete the repairs and even had parts to add a new handle to my side door. I've tried to obtain "same-day" service on two separate occasions, only to be be told "No", or "There will be an extra weekend charge of $150! UGH!!! Oh well. We had a dogsitter who did not return our keys and we decided to change the locks. I called B-Ok and discussed the kind of lock I wanted with Joe. He showed up within a reasonable period of time and he was very knowledgeable about what we wanted. He rekeyed out door locks and then added a new lock. There was a defect and he went back to the shop to get a new lock and installed the new one quickly. He was very patient while we learned the features of our new lock. He was also very respectful of my house - he cleaned up after his work and he was careful about not putting his tools on my wood cabinet by the front door. We had misplaced keys to a freestanding room at our house, so we called B-OK. Joe opened and rekeyed the door quickly and gave us three keys, which meant we didn't have to travel to get additional keys made. The morning he arrived we were also trying to figure out what to do with a broken latch on a sliding glass door, and Joe advised us against trying to search for a vintage latch or try to superglue or retool our way through it. Joe pointed out that we could use another kind of lock for the door that we already had and didn't realize was functional, and we appreciate the fact that even though his advice did not result in more locksmith work for B-OK in the moment he advised us from the point of view of solid workmanship and keeping the house secure. read more
