So, mice are what I had. This company is contracted through my COA. They came out in a timely manner. The technician (owner's son) educated me on the mindset of a mouse, what to look for, techniques that work and don't and how to revise how I store my ramen in my pantry. He pulled out my appliances and found holes and droppings were nearby. He filled the holes, and brought traps and discarded my mouse in my electric trap. He even found a hole in my garage. Given I wasn't infested, caught it early on and the location of the droppings we deduced that my issue was secondary to that of my neighbors. My house was basically their resting place to their trek on the Underground Railroad. The visit was about an hour long, because we chatted throughout. He was very thorough, helpful, transparent and professional. I would recommend this company to anyone who needs to prevent an infestation, has the beginning of one and those in the midst of a full blown one. As much as I was impressed by this company, I hope to never need them again (for the inside of my home). So... now that "this house is clean" **in my poltergeist voice** I can sigh in relief.

Bugs so big that they've made me afraid to step out of my home. I'm a city girl and I am just not used to this... ...And I wasn't about to get used to this either, so I hopped on Yelp to gather some quotes for some much needed pest control services. Chris from First Gen was one of the first to respond, and he was by far the most professional. He was able to squeeze me in for a next day consultation and he was both incredibly personable and wonderfully professional the whole time. During our appointment, I didn't feel like I was being sold on anything. Instead of trying to pressure me into one solution or another, he took the time to ask informed questions and get a better understanding of my needs and concerns, before making any recommendations. I walked him through the areas of my property where I was seeing the most activity and he was able to take my vague descriptions to help me identify exactly what I was seeing (because I swear some of these bugs I've never seen before in my life. There must be some new ones out here!). He then developed a customized treatment plan for how to address these particular pests, and keep them away so that I can enjoy my patio, my yard, and ultimately my property with a greater degree of comfort and ease. We scheduled my first appointment for the day after our consultation. He was very mindful and respectful of my property, as well as mindful not to disrupt my workday (since I work from home) as he perform the treatments. The cost of the services was more than fair, especially given how thorough he was with the treatments... and how please I am with the results. Chris was able to answer all of my questions thoroughly, as well as explain every product he used (He even had eco-friendly pest control products!), what it was used for, and what I could expect in the coming days and weeks. At the end of the appointment, I felt like I had a good understanding of what services were performed, which products were intended to treat which problem, and what to expect from future appointments. So far, things have been just as Chris described. I've seen exponentially less creepy crawlies (most of the ones I have seen have been dead, allowing me to sweep them into the grass) and the mosquito activity has plummeted dramatically. I feel much more comfortable not only being able to go outside again, but also to have friends and family over to hang out in the yard without having to worry about us being attacked by the worst that nature has to offer. Thanks Chris! I'll see you at our next appointment.

We have the Tiger/Zebra (whatever you call them) type of mosquitos, and my husband is much more prone to bites than me, but this species still goes after me a lot too. I tried DIY methods without luck and it also took up a lot of my time. Thanks to this small business, we can enjoy our deck and yard a lot more. We work on cars a lot too, so it helps to stay comfortable when out in the driveway or open garage. Sometimes, for whatever reason, the spray isn't as effective, and you just text Joy to let her know you need a respray. It's usually easy to tell in my yard because the mosquito population is so strong without treatment or with a weak treatment. My only wish for improvement is better communication. I never know when I am on their schedule next. And besides not getting bit, I never know for sure when they do a treatment because there were many times this season we did not get a door hanger. It was suggested some might get blown away, another resident took the door hanger in, or the technician forgot. I'm 99% sure the 3rd option is what's been happening as the first 2 options are very unlikely for my particular situation. Again, I typically can go on my experience of not getting bit to know if there has been a recent treatment, but more communication is still on my wishlist. I felt this past season it was tough to know for sure that I got every spray that I paid for between not getting all door hangers and needing a couple of resprays. When I brought this up to Mosquito Busters, they came out for their last treatment of the season and left extra door hangers, and they all had the same date...which was in July and didn't match what Joy told me my services dates were. Finally, there was one day I did happen to be home and saw the technician arrive. I heard him spraying around the house, but he never went out deep into our side yard. Technically, this treatment is supposed to be for up to 1/2acre and our lot is that size but only the immediate house area got treated at least that day--and I imagine that's what happened every time. But I overlooked it since we don't tend to hang out in that area of the property. Between what I described and hearing "horror" stories of people paying for services that were never done (I know someone who caught on security camera a different company mosquito guy just stay in his truck for 10 minutes and leave but charge for a service), it does concern me a bit. Otherwise, the mosquito situation is much improved and for that, I'm thankful!
