And the smell of candied nuts is no more. Even the upstairs escalator blocked off. You can still take the elevator up, though. The home decor section that used to be on the west wing of the upstairs is closed off and no longer accessible to the public. Bass Pro ruined this Cabela's location. Two stars for the friendly staff who rang us up, directed us towards the bathroom, and offered to help in the camping section. Other than that, this place is not the happy place it used to be. Even the fish in the tank seem sadder.

As I walk around the corner, a gentleman pushing a broom welcomed me and asked if he could help. If you want delightful customer service try the cupcake shop down the street. That said, I know Andre, Mike, Jim and Jamie and once you take a sec to get to know them, they're actually pretty decent dudes who know firearms, period. My definition of great customer service? Well my last gun purchase turned out to be a bad gun. I won't mention the make because weapons from this maker are top of the line and my case is a rarity. Took it back to LW and Mike looked it over cleaned it and asked me to give it another try. We were hoping it was bad ammo. It failed me a second time on the range, so I took it back for the second time. Basically it was no questions asked, two days later I got a call saying my new replacement is in along with a couple boxes of ammo for my trouble. These are my go to guys. You can't beat the prices and if you want a little guy time and gun speak, take the time to get to know these dudes.

We were offered 3 free rentals with our lane (Tuesdays). We just had to buy ammo. I told the guy to surprise me and pick for us. I liked 2 of the 3 he chose. The last one was a bit awkward for me to hold because the grip was far out from my trigger finger. We were offered 3 for $5 with the targets. All in all, my partner and I spent almost $100 for an hour lane rental, gun rental (x3), and targets. The reason they are missing a star is that the young lady who helped the gentleman after us put him almost right next to us. We were the only 2 lanes being used and she didn't space us out. The range has 3 sections and we were already assigned to the first lane in the middle section. It is loud, so it would have been nice if she assigned him a lane in either one of the other sections.

So I go up front...only 1 IPAD is booted and functioning and a line of 3 people waiting for it. I tried to complete it on my phone to no avail as the reception sucked. While it's not their fault my time was limited, they don't seem like they know what they're doing. And to have 6 i-pads mounted, only 1 working???
