She dictated that following day's appointment is canceled. It was only after I asked twice, is when she shared why, it seemed like a drag to communicate the reason. She proceeded to start booking alternative days until I reminded her that my wife and I are both working professionals with small children and that weekends are our only available time together. This fact was clearly articulated by me during the initiall call to book the onsite appointment. Ironically, the initial employee who booked the call insisted that my wife and I should be home together. As I attempted to check our busy calendar (and narrating my steps), Wendy began repeating and mocking me about being busy; "so are eveyone else sir, so are everyone else...") and then hung up without getting a response from me! Wendy, you are the front face of the death of modern customer service/business etiquette! A contributing factor to the overall poor perception of general contractors and top of the list for creating negative revenue for your organization.

The shower in the second bath had been leaking, causing extensive damage. We had to completely replace the bathroom due to water infiltration, as well as some sheetrock in the dining room and the second bedroom. When I was in my 20s, I would have repaired myself, but now I'm in a wheelchair and decisively, not 20!! I was referred to a contractor from Concord named Yaniv Taragano, of Taragano Design and Build, and that was the best referral ever! We also had other projects in mind: replace the kitchen sink with a copper one, replace the under-cabinet lights, install two ceiling fans, add "can lights" to the main bedroom, add a pot-filler, replace the bathtub, add a door to the laundry room, and re-paint the interior. Yaniv saved us a bunch of money throughout the project. For instance, he color-matched the wall paint exactly, so only a touch-up was necessary to achieve beautiful walls! He's bonded and insured, and most importantly, he and his people are very careful. I also checked out his license, and there was not a single blemish.
