To be clear, I am only giving 4 stars for the food. The service was horrible. We ordered food for pick up and were completely ignored when we walked in. Waited at the pick up counter while being stared at by the woman behind the counter. She walked by multiple times without saying a word. Finally she walked to the cash register and asked if she could take our order. We said we were picking up which caused her to roll her eyes and give major attitude. She then offered salsa but got annoyed that we didn't give her an exact number of how many we wanted. The food was actually really good. Cheesy quesadillas, decent enchilada sauce, even the beans and rice were good. Only complaint was that the carne asada was a bit salty. We will be coming here again but hopefully on the employees day off. read more

Great little place for Mexican food in Fallon. The carne asada and pork enchiladas were both delicious. Pretty basic atmosphere and friendly service - good for a quick bite or takeout. Reasonably priced and it's open later than most restaurants in Fallon. read more

Tacos are mostly good but the meat (Carne Asada) was a bit dry, burrito is epic. Service has been hit and miss the last two trips. I wish the burrito had a tad more meat, and a good sauce with heat. Needs a little upkeep in the dining room, bathroom could use a coat of paint. read more

It's a small place but they have a number of food options. I ordered the super quesadillas with carne asada and my husband got Al Pastor tacos. The quesadilla was ok, nothing special about them.. but the tacos...they were legit!! I will definitely get the tacos next time. read more

This little gem of a Mexican restaurant and bakery is located in a strip mall off of one of the main streets of Fallon, Nevada right next door to CC Communications. Went in for a quick lunch. Had 2 carne asada tacos that were out of this world good. Reminds me of the authentic Mexican food you can find in Southern California. The salsa was really good too. Couple that with a horchata and you are in Latino Heaven! Also had the chicken tacos, beans and rice. They serve menudo on the weekends - I need to remember that for the next time I come in. People working there are very nice. The place was busy today on a Saturday. I found out that Tuesdays are the days when the have fresh Mexican pastries. Looked up best breakfast in Fallon, well the reviews are spot on. The breakfast burritos are delicious and huge, no skippy burritos here. It was chocked full of sausage, potatoes and eggs plus a choice of green or red salsa. For a change, I ordered the chilaquilas with green sauce, huge portion with two fried eggs plus rice and beans (great beans). It was flavorful and filling. We came in here for lunch and I'll have to say, this was way better than that casino cafe we went to last night for dinner. This reminds me of casual Taqueria places in CA. Stand in line, place you order for all kinds of burritos or combo plates and then pick it up when they call you. The prices seem about the same as most Mexican casual places, except those chain restaurants ... those are more for less authentic food. I'll say the food here is pretty authentic casual Mexican food. You can choose different meats to go into you burrito. I stayed safe and got the streak burrito. So did my friend. There's tables inside to sit and a booth sort of seating on one side. My food was good, maybe not the best burrito I ever had, but decent and I return if I had to. Best value for good Mexican Food in Fallon! They are affordable and the food is authentic. I've had different kinds of tacos (cabeza-head, al pastor-marinated pork, pork in green salsa, asada-grilled skirt steak) and so far they've all tasted good. Some taco meats are great, while others are just good in my opinion, which is why I gave them 4 stars, but I am also very critical when it comes to Mexican food, so you gotta try for yourself. Visiting from Cali, this place has some things that make it authentic as it can be in this little town. Anyone else from Cali shouldn't compare it to more authentic food found out there, I mean of course it's not going to be the same! Anyways, the food was great! I love those Azteca fries! This establishment is good for a quick bite and you don't want to eat fast food. However I DO NOT recommend the guacamole. Trust me if you love or even like guacamole, do not order it. If I could use Negative stars, I'd add 100! This establishment in Fallon, NV is on my NEVER again list! My son used Aztecs for his wedding on Saturday. Dinner at 6:30. It was 7:45 when they arrived with "4 pans of, room temperature meat!" He wanted 20 lbs of each meat and it seemed to be 40 pounds of old meat they could not use from days before. They clearly did not get the cool temp even close (I understand if they prepare the day prior) BUT, in that case it should arrive cool! As in, "refrigerated!!! I have a digital temp thermometer- as we BBQ Often and this meat was 60 degrees when they carried it in and they made NO attempt to explain or change it! The UnSafe zone is 40-140 as bacteria forms quickly in that range!? Especially Chicken!!! Needless to say, not many were interested in eating it- I tried a bite of the beef and it tasted Sour? Almost like bad, deep green meat? I certainly did not want to serve it BUT some called me crazy, and were starving by this point!? 15 people ate the beef, thankfully no one got sick? Until the next day. 4 of the 10 were sick and one had to go to ER to resolve! That person said she had the flu! I visited Aztecs to return the 4 catering dishes- and the "cello flames," they tried to heat it with, all had been used before (half candles) and speak to them as anyone that I Know would be most upset that it was so bad and they had been charged (bride and groom) $1000.00 for those 2 nasty chicken and 2 beef trays! I felt they're untimely arrival as well as the UNSAFE food, chicken, beef, rice and beans (also room temp) was a bit steep!? They refused to listen! I use to come here on occasion and my husband did often but NEVER will I stop warning people of the insidious customer service! Never, have I seen such poor treatment of a person that recommended this place to my son! I am horrified and embarrassed with this place and strongly suggest you find other options. read more

Probably the best Mexican food in Fallon, NV! You gotta get some super tacos here (with whatever meat of your choice). Each cost about $4.50 and I think that 3 of them is a good number so your meal might be about $15 but if you want good food in BFE, you do what you have to do. After living in San Diego and visiting various locations in Mexico my expectations are pretty high and Azteca Bakery didn't meet them. I was hoping that with all the great reviews that this would deliver. The place is overall clean and there is beer which you can buy in 6 packs, cool! The price was reasonable, service fast and portions large. The food came out, and I began eating. I found the rice mushy, the beef overcooked/dry and the cheese not melted and the beans watery. The whole burrito was just a mushy mess and lacked any significant flavors. Unfortunately, from seeing the other diners, I think this is als legit as it comes in Fallon. On a positive note the tortilla was perfect and held up to the soupy mess that was my burrito. I'll pass on Mexican in Fallon as this was my last great hope. A generally sound taco / burrito joint. A very no trims style and help yourself vs table service restaurant. There is a pretty vast menu here for all the classics. I went for tacos having previously had a burrito here. Ive seen some rave reviews here, but in the bigger picture the taco was just average, good solid food. Portions are really generous and the prices are really cheap and good value. The food is presented ok, but I was disappointed with what was obviously not fresh guacamole lacking flavor (bought from outside presumably), when I was there there were only mild hot sauces on offer. The food was real good! We had chicken enchiladas with verde sauce. Everything taste good. Rice was tasty and not to spicy. Refried beans were good and not runny. Chicken was a little bit firm and doesn't appear to be fresh shredded in the enchiladas. We did not receive chips and salsa so I guess you have to ask and it's possibly an added cost. I would eat here again and it's now my favorite place here in Fallon until I find something better of course. I've tried 3 places so far. Enjoy! read more
