2nd time we have attempted to have family dinner and at place that use to be good. We ordered 1 pizza and 3 salads, a pitcher of soda and 6 cups. The salads were mediocre and could use some fresh ingredients. We ordered our single pizza at 18:33. We finally got up and asked for a refund after 45 minutes of waiting and watching thee orders go out that were made after ours. This use to be the place to get pizza, the new ownership needs to figure out where they are going wrong. We definitely will not be back. So all in all we got a 27.00 refund on a pizza and paid 40.00 for a pitcher of soda and three salads. What a disgrace. Shut it down and start from scratch. read more

I'm actually shocked that the star rating isn't higher for this place! We've been a few times and it's just consistently good pizza. The only negative I'll give them is the last time that we went, 2 out of our 6 party group ended up with the wrong drink and the server did kind of give them a hard time when they went to get it fixed. It did get fixed though, so not the end of the world. We have no shortage of pizza places in Fernley but when we want pizza we make the drive over to Fallon to go here instead, it's that good. read more

The place seemed decently clean and had some people there for a Wed night. I was helped promptly and picked up my pizza with no hassle. They even gave a free ranch. So for me, the service was fine. The pizza itself was below average. The crust was thin and not very good, which is horrible since I ordered "Deep Dish." I think deep dish doesn't really exist because it looked exactly like the regular pizza in the pictures. No thick crust, no extra toppings. The cheese kinda had a weird taste but was edible. Consistently delicious. The crust is to die for. My favorite is the spinach garlic (it has a garlic butter base) and I get it with sausage added. I don't like tomato sauce base on pizza but I do get one little container of their marinara sauce on the side for a light dip. Hands down the best pizza around and that's why I give it 4 stars. We had three pizzas (combo, pesto chicken, and a vegi), and a couple orders of wings. The crust was good, and the toppings went to the edge of the crust. We were in the town of Fallon in our hotel and the kids wanted a bite to eat..... its 8pm... and I noticed alot of shops and places were already starting to close down. I did not want to take them anywhere to eat...so decided on a pizza place. Pizza Barn had really good reviews. I ordered and picked up the pizza. It was delicious and great crust. We were pleasantly surprised. We picked up the pizza just as they were closing their register and starting to close. Located at the crossroad of Allen and Williams, this place can be a crazy mess at times. It is always crowded, noisy, and lots of kids running around. Service is always slow. Growing up in an area where we perfected pizza and invented chicken wings, my expectations for those foods are very low when traveling outside of Buffalo, NY. It was a very, very, very long wait for our pizza to come out as the restaurant was slammed with a big party order. I wanted to give this place more than 2 stars but 2 big things killed the experience for me: 1) Service was terrible and it took literally 45 minutes to get my pizza when it wasn't even that busy. 2) The pizza wasn't "fluffy." That's the best way I can explain it. It was as if the pizza bread was cooked too long and the texture didn't mesh well with the cheese and tomato sauce which is a very key thing with pizza. Basically, the bread was just too hard. The pizza was good enough to eat, especially because I was hungry as F. But damn, imagine waiting and waiting for a delicious pizza which is hard to mess up, but then it's not hitting the spot like it usually does because of an atypical reason. Pizza Barn is your typical pizza place, nothing fancy. Has a bit of a sports bar vibe. There are plenty of TVs playing sports and plenty of state/city/local sport teams represented on the walls. Plenty of seating is available and large groups can definitely be accommodated. A small pie and a soda cost me about $10 I think. Everything is made to order; I was one of about five groups there and I got my pizza between 10-15 minutes (which is fair in my opinion). They have a variety of beers and sodas. They do not serve pizza by the slice; pies only. I ordered their smallest pie and it was plenty, probably the amount of three large slices (if I had to guess). The pizza was also perfect, I ate my whole small pie, no leftovers here. The crust isnt too thin or too thick... its good crust. The sauce is great, not too sweet or tangy. The pizza wasnt too limp or greasy, nor was it dry. Its really good pizza and I would come here a lot more if I could. Overall great pizza joint. read more

Ordered pizza in advance over the phone and showed up when said it would be done. I then proceeded to wait an additional hour for my food to be done which they didn't even call the number, one of the workers just asked a coworker where the pizza was supposed to go. Then when I go to eat the pizza I just waited an hour and a half for, it was cold and charred. After hiking, our group stopped into Pizza Barn. We placed an unusually large order (due to our group size), and they kept us well hydrated while we waited. We had ordered different pizzas to try a variety, and each was delicious, hot, and fresh. While I enjoyed them all, my personal favorite was the Chicken Pesto pizza. There was something about the mingling of the flavors that impressed me, as well as others in our group. The crust was excellent, and had that nice balance of crispy yet chewy. Keep in mind that the atmosphere seems busy and hopping, so be prepared to spend some time, but the pizza is worth it. If you are short on time, best to inquire ahead as to the wait time. Our group was pleased overall, and though many of them reside in Reno, there were mentions of coming back that way for more pizza. We look forward to returning soon! read more

I'll tell you right up front the pizza we had was probably the best I've had in a long time, We had pepperoni and mushroom, the crust crispy, and the thickness was perfect...not cracker thin and not as thick as a typical pizza, the sauce very tangy and rich. But my gripe is the treatment my wife and I received when visiting Pizza Barn. It was 8:20 pm their hours stated they close at 9:30. The person at the counter contemplated whether he wanted to serve us because we were not there for a pick up order and wanted to eat in he kept looking up at the clock and then said OK I can do it. He said he wanted to close early and made us feel guilty for wanting spend our money there. My wife and I wanted a salad and he refused to let her go through their salad bar because they "were about to break it down." It seems it would have benefited them more if they could have gotten rid of more of the salad instead of having to keep it over night for the next day. He did let us eat in, because there was a party of about 6 people still there.When they left someone from the party shouted to him...Thanks! and he completely ignored them. This guy was very un-welcoming. Even though the pizza was good we will not be back, I will not be made to feel guilty for wanting to spend my money at an establishment when well within their hours of business operation. Oh, by the way the manager wanted to close early because they were so slow. I wonder why? Now they will be at least two more people slower because of his un-hospitality, last time I knew restaurants were considered a hospitality business. My review runs along the same lines as a lot of others: high priced, slow service, decent pizza. Meh sums up this visit. I remember coming here when I was younger at the horse-shows in Fallon. Maybe the magnificence of youth blinded me, but I was hoping for so much more after a day of antique shopping across the wilds of Nevada. Unfortunately, it was not up to the memories of days gone by. The pizza was pretty tasty since we got the deep dish. The salad bar though...not appealing. It doesn't help that I just the weekend before had the best salad bar I've ever had, but I try and be fair and compare to the idea of what a normal salad bar is...and it wasn't this. Not fresh iceberg lettuce. Simple, non-appealing toppings and the watered down ranch left me wanting. I also cannot stand places that charge so much for Pizza AND charge you additional for ranch. It's a personal pet peeve of mine that really offends my sometimes thrifty mood. I don't know if I would stop here again with Pizza Factory down the street, another rural favorite. read more
