I was pleasantly surprised by how positive our experience was at Azotea given the mixed reviews. We were seated outside on the patio during a fairly quiet Saturday afternoon. At the time, our server seemed to be the only front of house employee. He did inform us that the restaurant was understaffed (as noted by the now hiring sign on the door) so our food might take a little longer than usual, but it was not all that longer than typical. That being said, the food honestly exceeded our expectations and tasted like decently fresh ingredients and solid flavor. The restaurant was beautiful and would be fun to go to with a group. Happy to have this addition to Southern Post!

What a great new addition to Roswell. The food is tasty. The cocktails are delicious and the service is top notch! Great for friends hanging out, or a celebration or a romantic date. The patio is lovely even on a summer afternoon.. shaded and the fans make it pleasant.

Excellent service, delicious food. Decent happy hour deals. The vibe is cool. They have options for private parties as well. Guac is delicious!

This is a nice restaurant and cute on the inside. I was here with a party of 20 for my friends birthday. They put us upstairs and it was just us up there, which was nice. It was pretty hot though and we asked them to turn the AC on, which they did but it was still pretty hot. Almost all of us ordered tacos. I ordered the Bistec Alambre. The tacos were good! I wished they allowed you to mix & match your tacos. I didn't really want 3 of the same taco but you can't order just 1 taco. The order automatically comes with 3. Many of my friends just switched tacos once we got our orders. The food was okay, but the drinks were good!

First time at Azotea and it won't be my last. The Brussel sprouts were amazing and paired well with the carne asado tacos. The space is beautiful and the service is excellent. The menu is a little smaller than I expected, but the "specials of the day" made up for it. In fact, my hubby had the special which was Colorado Ribs (short rib over a bed of sweet potato mash). I sampled his dish and loved the sweetness of the sweet potato with the spice of the peppers....delicious! Thank you Sam for making such great recommendations and providing excellent service. PS: the drinks were good too!

Azotea Cantina is AMAZING! The restaurant ambiance is so nice and new, in a super fun area. Our server was very friendly, and the food came out super fast. They also offered free beer for Father's Day, which was so nice. We had the Salsa Trio and Queso as an appetizer! The Salsa Trio came with Salsa Verde, Normal, and a unique Pumpkin-Seed one. All had their own unique flavor! The queso is also delicious, and comes with interesting blue chips. The tacos were all amazing! I had the Chicken Al Carbon, which was so tasty and had pineapple on it. The Tacos De Birria were also so tasty! The corn tortillas were amazing.

Wanted to try the new Alpharetta location and I must say that I really enjoyed the atmosphere. They had a live band and the patio is large. I tried the chicken, steak and pork belly tacos. My favorite was the Pork belly because it was really tender. I tried a few of the various margaritas and cocktails. They all were a bit too sweet for my liking but the bartenders were all very nice. I would come back here and try more items.

I tried out the new Roswell location. They have a nice patio with TVs and bar access. I tried a variety of their tacos which were pretty good, but the drinks were really sweet. They also had live music inside.

We really enjoyed trying the new location in Roswell. Staff is friendly and very attentive. We decided to try the brisket burrito, and it didn't disappoint -- it was delicious and not full of fatty trimmings like you find at some other restaurants. The queso dip was also yummy. The restaurant is very spacious with a vibrant atmosphere and live music, which made for a fun dining experience.

Friendly and informative service. The Escalade margarita is exceptional and queso is very unique...it could have been a touch warmer, but not a deal breaker. The restaurant itself is beautifully designed, open windows providing a welcome cross breeze on a hot Georgia day. Hands down, worth the trip down to Roswell from Alpharetta.

We enjoyed sitting at the open-air bar. Good service, atmosphere and food. The salsa trio was really enjoyable and the Azotea salad with chicken was fantastic. It was bursting with different flavors. They have live music on certain days. The food was a little slow to come out but otherwise an enjoyable experience.

    Sign hanging on restaurant.

1:00pm. Drove to meet my husband for lunch. This looked like a nice place. First negative, only parking is paid parking garage. Ugh. OK, we paid the $10 parking twice for our two cars. Went inside to be seated. We were told they do not open until 4:30pm. Despite the hours posted on 11:00am opening. And two signs in front of building saying OPEN. NEVER AGAIN.

Highly recommend Azotea - the service, food and atmosphere were all a 12 out of 10!! Awesome shaded patio with a nice breeze. Julian provided top notch service, recommendations and was super attentive. The brussel sprouts, steak & chicken tacos were all amazing! Definitely will be one of our new go to Mexican spot!

What we ordered: Apps: * Fattoush salad - Fresh and full of flavor with crisp radishes, cucumbers, tomato, and a nice hit of sumac. * Dill labneh - Flavor-packed and delicious, though a bit thick, which made it harder to scoop with the soft pita. Mains: * Chicken barg - Phenomenal. Incredibly flavorful and easily the star of the meal. The house dressing on the side was addictive - I was literally scooping up extra rice just to dip into it. I substituted the rice for grilled veggies (up charge of +$7 felt extreme esp considering the entree was already $30) but the veggies were absolutely delicious. Squash, zucchini, peppers, onion, pineapple. * Honey harissa chicken - Disappointing. Lacked flavor, cook wasn't great, and didn't compare to similar dishes elsewhere (DelBar) * Adas pollo rice - Decent with a nice crunchy exterior, but overall just okay in both flavor and portion. Also doesn't compare to DelBar's. Service: We sat at the bar. Our bartender seemed newer and struggled a bit, but her teammate stepped in and really elevated the experience with great service and humor. Overall: Great vibes, strong bar, and some truly delicious food. A few misses, but the highlights make it easy to recommend.

We started with the pimento cheese dip and were both surprised to find that it was served hot along with several pieces of soft, warm bread. It was SO good and a nice change from the way that most other restaurants serve their pimento cheese. Even hubby loved it and he is usually not a fan of cheese. For my main, I ordered the grilled cheese sandwich with tomato soup. I am not exaggerating when I tell you that this is THE BEST MEAL I have had in a really long time. Total comfort food that hit all the right spots on this chilly afternoon. The cheese on the sandwich was just the right amount of ooey gooey and the tomato soup was perfection. I was tempted to lick the bowl when I got to the bottom, but that wouldn't be very dignified while dining out, so I did the next best thing by sopping up the residue with what was left of my sandwich. It was delicious and I will be back for more soon. Hubby ordered the grilled chicken sandwich and said it was the best chicken sandwich he has had. He is hard to please, so between the pimento and sandwich, 1920 achieved the improbable in impressing hubby. Service was impeccable. The main reason we had not come back in a while is because it is a small space and can feel pretty congested when it fills up, which is not the most comfortable. We don't like feeling crowded, but after today's visit, we decided that the limited space is a small price to pay for amazing food and service, so we will undoubtedly return soon. Perhaps we will try sitting outside instead when the weather cooperates. Big thanks to 1920 for starting our new year off on the right foot!

After sitting for 25 minutes with no greeting, we stopped the hostess to ask if we could order. She seemed surprised that no one had helped us and came back about five minutes later to take our full order. It took 45 minutes after being seated to finally get our drinks. The excuse? "No clean wine glasses." At that point, I would have gladly taken my wine in any clean glass they had. The only reason we stayed was because the band was genuinely good. Meanwhile, the food runner wandered from table to table "auctioning off" dishes because he clearly didn't know where anything belonged. When our food arrived, it actually tasted good - but the service issues overshadowed everything. After we finished eating, our server disappeared again. We eventually had to get up and find her just to get our checks. Part of our friends' order ended up on our bill, but we didn't bother waiting for her to correct it. To top it off, there was a random 3% service charge (for what?) and an automatic 20% gratuity added because there was a band. Not cool, especially given the terrible service. The entire restaurant felt unprepared and overwhelmed, and no one ever apologized for the extremely long waits. Will I go back? Probably not. The prices are far too high for the level of service we received.
