Since AZFirearms is still claiming to have a gunsmith on site, I will chime in with my google review I did a couple months back as I continue to fall victim to thinking they have one for work. Other gunsmiths in the area are apparently aware of this issue as well as I have to drive out of my way to them to have my firearms worked on and they have stated they have had to repair firearms recently picked up there since the owner has taken over. Advertises full service Gunsmithing. However, no certified Gunsmith on Staff anymore. Was told the owner is now the Gunsmith, yet when asked, he is not actually a Gunsmith nor is he certified or should be calling himself one. Was treated with disgust for asking and was responded to with snarky remarks about why I was asking them. As others have noted as well, the only lady there was very brash and didnt seem to want to be there and was quick to turn away and walk out the door with her phone. This younger generation is so glued to their phones they dont know how to communicate anymore. I had my firearms serviced here before, and when I heard Kyle is no longer working there, I was curious as to who took his place as I have other firearms needing looked at, but was hesitant as its hard to find a knowledgeable and trustworthy Gunsmith who will give you the time a day. Kyle was a wizard and was able to repair my firearms over the counter where no other Gunsmiths could, and was insanely knowledgeable and friendly. I hear he is still Gunsmithing, so looks like I will be keeping my business with him or others I can find as azfirearms is not honest with their business and doesn't feel like a welcoming friendly place anymore. read more

To Ethan R below, I was there during this transaction. You left out a key detail for obvious reasons it seems, you purchased your receiver 5 years ago from the store, well past any warranty or return period of any business/manufacturer. The manufacturer went out of business due to similar issues that you experienced on their receivers as I looked it up during the commotion. I heard the store offered you a receiver at cost which was the closest comparable to what they had to your receiver, and honestly, that was nice of them compared to what other stores would say if you came in 5 years later and asked for a refund. Its a manufacturer issue, not the stores, and the store offered to help but you declined and stormed off in haste. As to your other issues, I know their manager only handles the suppressor/NFA paperwork, so the sales folks wouldn't know given its complexity and requirements. AZFirearms has been very customer service friendly to me over the years, this isnt to say that things dont happen, but I have had nothing but great service there and the employees are very helpful. The fact I dont have to wait in line like Cabelas for hours is plentiful enough. read more

Had an ffl transfer here just about a month ago from gunbroker and I paid with my debit card. The guy messed up and asked to swipe my card again. Sure enough I was charged twice for one transaction when I checked my account. Went back to the store with my receipt and all they could tell me is "that's not possible". Talked to the "manager" and I showed him my account with my phone and he could only insist that it is not possible to charge twice for one purchase. I have proof that I was charged twice! Where's the logic? So pretty much I was called a lair and got charged $60 for a transfer. Had to go to my bank and have them fix the issue. Never going back to this place for anything! Not a bullet, not anything! Not giving these crooks another dime! Go somewhere else for a transfer and I would say go to j and g or ctr or ANYWHERE else for your firearm needs. Azfirearms are crooks only out to make a penny off the customers back. This outfit is very friendly, patient, professional, and helpful. I just made my second purchase here and the staff yet again went above and beyond offering advice, helpful suggestions and technical details in a very friendly and respectful manner. I am not an experienced firearms enthusiast but they were earnest and patient every step of the process. Their prices are also very reasonable, especially given the sudden surge in demand for personal protection gear. I shopped around extensively online before going to the physical store and twice now, I have been exceedingly pleased with AZFirearms' rates. . . especially considering their top-rate service. Being prior law enforcement and military I should know how to properly handle a firearm. These people do not! Brought in a semi automatic handgun for a quick appraisal and the man behind the counter damaged my magazine while trying and failing to do a "tactical reload" of some sort and slammed my magazine in at a tilt. He then said something was wrong with the gun and wouldn't give me much for it. Well duh, you just damaged my mag!!! Refused he had done anything wrong. I say stay away from this place. AZ. Firearms located on Western Ave in Avondale is NOT LAW ENFORCEMENT FRIENDLY. These people, including the Manage do not know anything about verifying legitimate State issued Identity documents or they just dislike law enforcement. I would stay away from this place. The only reason that they would discourage law enforcement from shopping there is because they don want Police around, (read between the lines). I would highly recommend these guys... Great service and selection and just a generally comfortable feeling as soon as I entered the store. Going into a gun shop can be unsettling for a novice, but not at this shop. Mark was great to deal with and followed up on a technical question I had with a phone call by the end of the day when he couldn't answer it immediately.
