We had the car towed over (2018 Ford Fusion Hybrid), and they diagnosed the problem and repaired the issue quickly and at a fair price. Unfortunately, the tech made a small mistake and once we got the car home, there was more oil on the driveway and a check engine light. Ugh, again. So we called back to Scott to see what he wanted us to do. We understand that sometimes mistakes are made and issues arise. How a business owner handles those issues are the difference between good businesses and great ones. This is a great one. Scott was MUCH more upset than we were! He got us back in same day and fixed the issue at no charge! (We should have paid for a necessary part, but he would not charge us.) With everything so expensive these days, and everyone trying to stretch a buck, it's hard to know if you're leaving your car with someone who cares about it as much as you do. Scott does. I paid for a "Pre Purchase" Inspection. This shop performed the service. After I paid and left, the…read morenext day I found out that the same truck that I paid for a pre purchase inspection has oil leaks AND the CATALYTIC CONVERTERS ARE MISSING! The truck literally had the exhaust cut out, and the catalytic converters were DELETED. Heres the stupidest part... they scanned the computer because of a check engine light, and all 8 codes the computer scanned revealed were ALL BECAUSE OF MISSING/FAILED EMISSIONS COMPONENTS! So they scan the computer, detect 8 emissions based engine codes, put the truck on a lift, DONT SEE LEAKING OIL OR MISSING CATALYTIC CONVERTERS, but made sure they gave me an estimate for new shocks and struts and brakes and alignment and everything else. When I called to ask WTH.. ."Oh i didnt notice the leaking oil and the missing exhaust components." WHAT A JOKE.

Considering I paid around $1,000 for the repair, I felt misled. Within a week of the repair, my check engine light came back on. Yesterday, I took my Jeep to another mechanic for further diagnosis. They explained that the ignition components installed previously had contributed to additional engine issues and showed me the parts they had removed. Needless to say, I was extremely frustrated after paying so much for the original repair. Based on my experience, I would not return or recommend this shop. I expected quality parts, honest communication, and a lasting repair, but unfortunately that was not my experience.

I called on a Saturday morning to get an estimate on my squeaky brakes. I just had new ones put in…read moreback in April, so idk... BB also needed an oil change. Mike answered the phone and made my 2 pm appointment. First off, you should know that this place is a HOME. Dude runs the business from his home, and I'm sure he's certified, licensed and all that, but it was pretty awkward pulling up to a neighborhood. Once I parked on the driveway, I rang the doorbell on the front door and Mike came around the garage. I explained what the issues were and he said he would call me to let me know what needed to be done if anything. I do appreciate the fact that they thoroughly assess your vehicle and call to give you an estimate before performing any work. I was desperate to get it done because B.B. is my only ride. I don't have the luxury of switching vehicles like some people do (maybe one day again.. lol). I ended up walking home since it was literally a few blocks away and they didn't have any kind of lobby or waiting area. Mike called within a half hour to tell me he didn't hear the brakes squeaking and that they were fine. I also mentioned the oil change and when he gave me the estimate, my jaw kind of dropped to the floor. He quoted me over $200 for the oil change, air filter and cabin filters changes. I'm not auto expert, but that seemed pretty damn high. I get that I drive a V8 but daaaamn!! At that point, I didn't gaf because I had to walk in the slight rain to get it back. I wanted it done so I approved it and he got to work. He and his associate completed the work in about 45 minutes so they are quite efficient! I was satisfied with the work, but I won't be returning. I know I can do the filters myself but like I said, I was just wanting it all done in one stop. Also, to note, they are moving out to I believe East Mesa I think it was. I overheard him telling another customer as he was leaving. I'm not sure if he has overhead costs but even with the military discount I asked about, I still paid $240!!! Smh. If $120 for labor is standard for having my vehicle for under an hour, then I guess there's value in what I paid?! Oh well, it is what it is and the work was done well. Lesson learned. Damsel in distress will do research and plan accordingly for my next automotive needs.

I made an appointment for an oil change here after having a bad experience with my usual place. I…read morewaited in the lobby with my toddler and small dog while my car was being worked on and we were done after about an hour and 15 minutes. They did a courtesy inspection of my car and gave me a full report of recommended or "required soon" services and repairs. He explained each item to me and also explained they have a really good warranty on repairs. What I really appreciated was that he did not make me feel pressured to schedule an appointment for anything and seemed to respect my time. He also did not seem to try to "scare" me into getting services ASAP and seemed honest. The oil change was a little more expensive than my usual place but I will gladly return here based on their customer service alone.

After a little help we got it back to our house and diagnosed the issue as our alternator as the battery is only 5mo old. Looking for local service stations opening up early on 2-Jan, I found this Christian Brothers 2mi from our house. They said they will diagnose the issue but said they did have alternators for my car on site in case that was the issue. I jumped my car again and drove it down to the shop. The service manager was attentive and friendly and gave me an assurance my car would be ready by the end the day. He even gave me a shuttle ride back to my house without any delay. The shop contacted me around noon with the issues and estimates. They confirmed the alternator died, but also said my water pump was broken and not holding any liquid and it was getting water into the alternator. In the text message they provided images of all damaged parts which was nice. The overall price seemed reasonable but I did have to talk them into using a cheaper alternator that saved me $200. I got my car back mid-afternoon and one week later it's still driving great. My first experience with Christian Brothers Automotive was definitely positive and I will like use them again in the future!

As I generally try my best to stay away from the dealership, I took to Google and Yelp reviews to find a reputable shop to perform maintenance on my vehicle. My search brought me to Import Auto Experts. Making the appointment was a strange experience. I spoke with someone named Jeannie who was very pleasant on the phone. I informed her that I wanted to schedule an oil/filter change and a battery replacement. She scheduled me and attempted to end the call (in a very professional way), but she never asked for the year/make/model of my vehicle which I thought was weird, so I spoke up and asked, as I wanted to ensure the technicians were using the parts that that I requested. After I asked, she sounded surprised at herself for not asking. No big deal at all. Within a couple hours, she called me back and asked which battery I wanted to purchase. She provided prices, but no information on the battery specifications, so I had to specifically ask. Again, not a huge deal, but I'm used to this information being given up front. Accessing the shop was easy, and there was lots of parking. Their waiting area is nothing special, but it was clean and quiet. I was the only person in the waiting area, so it was fine. If there were more than a few people in there, I don't think I'd want to sit there. Too cramped. After I checked in, I gave my keys, and they said they'd let me know when it was ready. I thought it was strange because they did not have me sign a quote before beginning the work. I thought this was required by law, but perhaps it was a state law and not applicable in Arizona. Also, if something regarding prices changes after the vehicle is in the possession of the shop, I thought they had to contact the customer to let them know of the additional costs before starting the work. Anyway, I basically went in without actually knowing the exact price for the quoted work other than the battery and battery replacement - which turned out that the quoted price I received for the battery was $130.99 and my paid invoice says that I paid $143.99. I personally don't care that much about $13, but if some people might, so that's why I'm mentioning it. I didn't speak up about it at the time as they wanted me to pay before I even saw the invoice. It's mostly on me for paying without asking to see the invoice before tapping my card. The bigger disappointments were discovered when I got home. After arriving at home, when I went to gather my things, I noticed that my seat was a little dirty. Nothing that couldn't be cleaned up with a damp towel. Then I noticed there was a dark liquid substance on my door handle. I'm thinking either the technicians hands were dirty, or perhaps the silver foil was removed from the bottle of oil near my vehicle and it splashed on it as it wasn't that much. These weren't big issues as I easily was able to clean it up myself, but the bottom line is there is clearly some lack of processes that either aren't being followed or don't exist at all. I don't take my car in for maintenance/repairs for it to have to clean up after them. Overall, the prices for my oil change and the battery swap were fair, and the work was done in a timely manner. I'll probably go back and give this place one more chance. But if the end experience is the same, I'll probably try to find another shop.
