My AAA tow truck driver told me that auto shops likely would not be able to even diagnose my car until Monday. I had seen other reviews here about how quick ZZZ was and gave them a shot. Sayed got me back on the road the same day, saving me $$ on car rental. He even gave me a ride to meet up with family for lunch while the work got done. Fair pricing and in-a-pinch service saved the day!!

Can I give this place 5 stars for NOT working on my car?? Let me explain -- my car had been making…read morea noise like an RC car running out of juice and the guys at the auto part store said the alternator was going out. Lovely. I had called a few places around town and ZZZ was able to (A) get me in right away, (B) provide a precise quote for what I thought was the issue over the phone and (C) make me feel immediately "safe" with them in that first call. When asking if I wanted refurb or new parts, the price was about $150 difference. I originally said new, but they advised me about the warranty on refurb parts and not to feel scared of it. I appreciated that they didn't just take my money. Once I arrived, I told them about the previous convo at the auto store and they did some diagnostic tests, all while letting me stand there and watch. About 10-15 minutes later and some dusting stuff off they're like...nah you're good. If anything I needed a new battery, but they said even that was in pretty good shape. They offered to install that for me if I wanted, but basically said that I could just go. Since then, my car has been totally fine! A less ethical place could've easily just cheated me, charged for XYZ or installed a new alternator anyway. So they didn't really do work on my car this time, but their honesty 10000% earned my business for the next time a problem arises.

We were staying the night and looked on Yelp for reviews to investigate. We found Dustin's shop and we're going to try to visit the next morning thinking it was a minor issue and we would get a quick fix. We get to his shop 15 minutes before he opens and we explain our situation. He has a busy schedule and had no obligation to help us as we were just passing through but he said he would take a look and ran some tests. He had some initial thoughts and tried a few things related to a MAF sensor (including cleaning and then replacing it) but something was still wrong. He and his team finally isolated the problem with a fuel exhaust sensor, replaced the part and did more test driving and got us back on the road that afternoon. Dustin and his team were kind honest and thorough and we truly appreciated his work and detail. He could have easily given up or just reset the codes but he cared enough to identify and fix the issue. This gave us peace of mind when driving our car the remaining 2000+ miles to get to our destination. Thank you Dustin!

Over the years I've developed a very high level of confidence in Leo. He's extremely fair and honest in all of his dealings. He and his team perform the work that is required, and nothing more. All work is performed promptly, and is done at a very fair price. My standard service visits have twice caught issues that needed to be resolved under my vehicle warrantee. In addition, they have provided technical assessments that counteracted what I had been told be the location where I had purchased tires. I didn't need the brake service the Tire dealers had advised. This saved me a huge amount of money. I confidently rate Preferred Tire at 5+ stars. Well done Leo !

Our local mechanic referred us to a different shop in Sparks; I called to make an appointment, but they were booked out for month. So, I "yelped" and found Arrow Automotive, with a predominant 5 star rating, and made a call, first asking if they were able to fix/replace transfer cases. When they said they do, I asked how far out they were booked and they told me they could get my vehicle in within a couple weeks. I made the appointment. It took a while for this repair to be completed: Arrow had to first order the part; it's not just sitting on their warehouse shelves. When the part arrived from somewhere in Southern CA, Arrow inspected it and found it was defective. Arrow sent the part back, and they/we had to wait for a new one to be sent. When THAT part arrived, Arrow again inspected it and this one was good for go. It was installed; we have had NO problems with the work Arrow did on our 4-Runner. All of this took TIME!! I am thankful they did and we are are pleased with the outcome. Also, the repair was expensive!! Again, this is to be expected. This involved removal of a broken part, disassembling parts, draining of fluids...etc. I would want ALL necessary work to be done and done correctly; the price I paid was worth it. Also note: Their front staff are the most courteous and polite people who didn't express any exasperation when I would call for updates. And their mechanics...knowledgeable, skilled professionals. All said and done....I recommend Arrow Automotive for folks in the Reno/Sparks area. This business is squared away!!

The shop also has a couple loaner vehicles which came in clutch when I had to get my timing chain fixed. I was able to still get to and from work. The staff here is super nice and I feel like they care for my car as if it's their own. On my last repair they asked if they could hold onto my car for another day cause they weren't satisfied with where they got it and wanted to double back and tweak a couple things to hopefully give my car back in as best condition as possible.(this wasn't any extra cost). I also love doing my oil changes here, they check a bunch of other areas of your car while they do the oil change and give you a rundown of recommended fixes. Also if not they have never pressured me on any fixes which eases my mind. Pressure sales in the auto industry feel fake and dishonest to me. Also, they give your car a quick wipe down of the consoles and vacuum as long as your car isn't full of stuff. It feels nice to get your car back a little cleaner than you gave it to them.
