The boyfriend and I did Axe Throwing this past Sunday and it was so much fun! They had an organized schedule of when each round started, finished, clean up, then extra time to replace targets. The employees there worked hard in between sessions and they were all super friendly, professional, informative, and helpful! One gentleman walked all of us through the rules, which were clear and thorough. He then taught us how to throw the different axes and foot placement. Once our time started we got the hang of certain axes but I really wanted to throw the Tomahawk but it wouldnt stick! I finally just went to ask one of the guys to show me and help. After his instruction to move closer and hand placement including grip and how hard/soft, i threw it and hit bullseye first try. It was so cool! I highly recommend booking with Axe Adventures! The coaches were super friendly and helped us get situated with axe throwing (unfortunately none of us came in as experts), but by the end of it we got a hang of it and managed to get a good number of throws in. My wife and I came for one of the glow in the dark days on a Monday. This was the first time to ever go axe throwing for either one of us and man, Did we have a blast! We had the whole place to ourselves during our time slot which was nice, but what made it a very enjoyable experience outside of the axe throwing itself was the staff. They were both very friendly. Kai was the one who showed us the techniques needed to make our throws mostly successful ones. She was super sweet, very knowledgeable and had the most charming energy. If you come here, I highly recommend opting for the throwing knives to switch up from the axes. We also made sure to grab a bleeding target because seeing "blood" ooze in the black light is pretty awesome. We will definitely be back for both the experience and the awesome staff! We had a lot of fun going to this location and throwing axes ... but I will say it looks like it's a little under maintained and could use a little bit more attention to keeping it up. It just seems very thrown together and not like it was cohesively designed. The neon signs and photo op walls are a cute addition though so I have to give props to them for that. The wood was a little beat up too, and I know that is a commodity and I am all about saving the environment so don't want it to be "over-changed" but with that being said some of the wood really needed to be changed to have a better experience... I wonder if there is an eco-friendly material that could be used and is longer lasting? But the material sourcing is not their fault ... I just am thinking out loud. Lol. I have seen some other axe throwing locations online and they just look a little bit more put together... With that being said I do have to give a huge shout out to the staff because they were all extremely helpful and very kind ... so the staff definitely gets five stars and the facility itself probably more like a three. read more

Today I went to Axeventures with my boyfriend to try out axe throwing for the first time, and coincidentally booked the same slot as another friend. I booked the slot last week online and was told to arrive 10 minutes early. There's a small lot, so we were able to park easily. When we got there we were greeted and directed to fill out a waiver. The waiver is available via QR code, so you can either use your own device or the iPad at the front counter. After waiting a bit, the staff then gave everyone a quick tutorial and tips. They then went down the line of people, asked how many in the group, and assigned lanes. It was pretty much one person per lane, with the exception of my friend's group of 3 who shared a lane together. (I think there were about 9 lanes or so.) They have an assortment of axes and taught us a few different techniques for throwing. The staff were all very friendly, attentive, and helpful. When they noticed someone having trouble, they provided suggestions such as moving forward or backward so that the axe would stick. There were also a few different games listed out on the tables behind us that we tried out once we got the hang of things. When time was running low, the staff let us know at 15 min remaining, 5 min remaining, and a final countdown at the end. After the experience they sent a followup email and included a promo code for a discount off our next visit. Definitely a fun date activity or something to do with a group of friends. The amount of time per reservation felt like the perfect amount. Hopefully my back/shoulder/arms won't be too sore tomorrow, heh. A couple not as great things. 1. It seemed like one of the axes for my lane was not super in tact at the bottom where I was supposed to grip it. It had been taped over before, but it seemed like it wasn't held together as well as it should have or could have been. Since there were plenty of other axes to choose from, this wasn't a huge issue. 2. There was an interesting mix of music playing during the experience. Some songs were of the Screamo genre, which I personally am not a fan of. read more

What a place to have fun! Hubs and I came over here right after working out at Rumble City Boxing right next door and we had a blast. The set up here is very structured and safe. You come in, sign the liability form, wait for the designated time to hear the instructions from their very knowledgeable staff, get your weapons, and get down to throwing!
