Tuna Avocado Salad
Yi C.

Came here for lunch as I was craving for a salad. Ordered the tuna avocado salad. Tasty tuna with lots of fresh ingredients (tomato chunks, carrot slices, mushrooms, etc). Plenty of seating spaces inside and out. Friendly service. Be aware of limited parking spaces, and most of the spaces are for 30min-only parking.

Hidden gem- I'm sure all the locals close by in all the apartment complexes and businesses near by, know about this place. Pro tip: call in or order online, so you're not waiting for your food and drinks. Everything's so good- I love that they put sprouts in their salads and their balsamic is delicious. The Chuy sandwich is my favorite (GOAT CHEESE!) There is underground parking and a few spots in front. It's small and busy inside, but there's tables outside to wait and eat!

Cute little cafe serving breakfast and lunch bites. Also with selection of smoothies, coffee, and teas. Tucked away in a residential area which must be so convenient for residents to simply walk out in their nighties to grab a little something for the morning. The tower 9 sandwich was monster and also quite delicious with the alfalfa sprouts adding such a fresh, herbal, and healthy touch to a sandwich. Loved this sandwich and quite filling so packed the other half and had it later on for snack. Highly recommend. Also tried the Avo Classic salad. Also had alfalfa sprouts, carrots, mushrooms, half an avocado (of course), mozzarella cheese, and tuna for protein. Came with you choice of dressing and they also gave me a house dressing on side to try. Was a generously large salad and good but didn't feel it was much different from others I've tried. Overall nice place to stop by if you're looking for something low key and healthy.

Salmon Toast + Rodeo
Shirley W.

Stopped by for a quick sandwich break and had this bookmarked for awhile! It's a small cafe shop, something that gets the job done. The indoor seating isn't really that cozy, but there are a few tables around that's just a place to sit. They have cute ambiance music though! There's more outdoor seating that feels a bit nicer haha. It was about 1pm and I wanted to try the Salmon Toast (since the menu said they only served it until 11am). Luckily the cashier said I was still able to order it! I heard that was a must get from here, so we got that, and my bf ordered a Rodeo. It didn't take too long to for our sandwiches, so service was great! The sandwiches were a bit on the smaller side, so for the price, it didn't really feel that much of a value? But all their ingredients do seem fresh. Taking in the first few bites, one thing I would say is that the salmon is very overpowering. It tasted fishier than it should be, which it made it taste a bit more unpleasant? I do like how they were generous with the pesto. However, I felt like the pesto didn't really complement it that much. The bread itself was pretty alright. I liked how my plate came with two slices of watermelon, which I oddly enjoyed that better than the sandwich lol. As for my bf's Rodeo sandwich, I actually liked his a lot more lol. That one seemed like it went well altogether. However, I was a bit more disappointed with the salmon toast. It was really the salmon fishy smell that threw me off. Maybe because it was like a smoked salmon? But it tasted like just separate ingredients were just put together to make something... meaning it didn't shine as a whole haha. Overall, I feel like that it is a bit overpriced for what it is. Even despite how fresh the ingredients may be, I feel like the size is not as worth it.

Avocado Grilled Cheese Toast made vegetarian (added spinach & tomato)
Vivek D.

Came here for breakfast with the family while out in Irvine at my cousin's place. I opted for the loaded grill cheese toast without bacon. It was very very good and tasty. I love that they were willing to accommodate my request for a vegetarian version of the toast and also added spinach and tomatoes to make it quite filling. The avocado was super fresh and the watermelon slices were a nice touch. I washed all of this out with an iced coffee which was the perfect mix. Enjoy this with a little dab of hot sauce and you cannot ask for more.

Their posted hours are incorrect.

Once again showed up during their posted business hours and they are closed with no notice. I have no idea what their correct hours are.The hours posted on their door, on their website, and on Yelp are all incorrect.

I'm updating my review and dropping it to 1 star because I witnessed workers making food in the back with their bare hands. They would put together the sandwich and handle all the ingredients with their bare hands, scoop out chips from a costco sized bag with their bare hands, AND THEN go up to the register and handle money all without washing their hands at all. I feel so sick knowing I used to eat at this place. Unclean. Not worth it.

This breakfast and lunch cafe is conveniently located off the main road. There is ample street parking for 30 minutes just outside the restaurant. It is an excellent place to grab a breakfast sandwich coffee or smoothie.

Food here is amazing! Freshly made and filling and healthy! Another one of a kind places that I will definitely come to and recommend.... Ambiance is awesome hearing old music that I can have as my playlist... oh those wooden tables and chairs are so comfy! A MuST try! Service is Superb! Very friendly all smiles and helpful! Keep it up!

Hot Chai Latte & Tower 9 Sandwich
Alexis K.

Cozy (what appears to be) family-owned cafe. Prices are reflective of the inflation era, but the Tower 9 sandwich and Hot Chai Latte were delicious. Services was kind.

Their prices are a bit high. The cortado was over $5 and some of their fancy flavored lattes were in the $8-9 range (add on a non-dairy milk option or a cream top and you're pushing $10 for a drink!). For their simpler coffee classics it feels more worth it, but it'd be a bit of a splurge to get a fancy latte. The seating area is quite nice. It's near UCI campus so there were a lot of students studying when I came. There are plenty of tables inside and they also offer free wifi. The service was pretty fast. The service here is so kind and the staff helped us recommend drinks for our first time there. The cafe itself is small but there is a lot of seating options both inside and outside of it. My friend ordered their famous "Thank You Berry Matcha" and I got to try it. It was super yummy, sweet but not too sweet and the strawberry matcha flavor was pleasant. The breakfast burrito was also good! I really liked the hot sauce it came with and it was a nice savory bite to pair with our drinks. My only complaint was that the Wi-Fi here wasn't seem to be connecting to any of my devices or my friend's (maybe this was user error on my behalf) but I would advise maybe staying inside the cafe if you want to get working Wi-Fi. However, it took my drink a while to come out. There was a sign above the consoles that indicate ETA of the drink. Based on the color I thought it would be a quick wait but it ended up taking 15 minutes. It seems like the coffee station, manned by one person it seems, was cranking out multiple drinks whereas the drink I got (matcha) took a long time - this is despite me being one of few matcha drinks ordered when I was waiting... - I noticed that as the barista was whisking my drink, she took the whisk out, took a look at the whisk then with her bare hands touched the tip of the whisk and reinserted it into the cup.. all without washing her hands or using gloves... I honestly wanted to say something but I was already in a rush and didn't want to make a scene at an already busy hour and the barista looked kind of frazzled already... - If you are hoping for a strong matcha, this isn't the place to go to. I got the blueberry matcha, which was a pale green in a color and it tasted like a premade mix of blueberry matcha.. although calling it matcha may be a bit generous as the drink just tasted like blueberry milk...Not sure if I'll be coming back.. not for matcha any way
