Alamo help sent a message to this location that we would be swapping the vehicle. I was not surprised that they really did not know anything about it at the local store. That was not the issue. The boy at the counter recommended that I drive an hour to JAX because they have a better selection. I, at this time, politely said that I should not have to drive around looking for a Full Size SUV to swap out. I asked if there was some way that he could find me a car before spending a lot of time driving for a POSSIBLE vehicle to swap. He the. Said they have a better selection at JAX but there is no way for him to call the location. I finally got heated when he also suggested that they have vendors that work on their cars. I could take it there. I am an executive at a large company that has a lot of employees that travel. Alamo/Enterprise is currently a preferred vendor. I am not sure that will last much longer. Not only did this guy not represent his company well... whatever happened to trying to help another human with their problem???

The first vehicle they said the radio didn't work.... The real story-the radio/navigation/screen shut down every 5 minutes The second vehicle reeked of nastiness, and needed an alignment sooooo bad, it shook so hard I had a deep tissue massage in minutes! The third vehicle was great. Maybe they're overworked/overwhelmed Maybe they need a break Maybe a bit more training on customer service- first impressions I can only imagine what they deal with day in and day out, 3 stars is because after a bit they are good! I don't write reviews like this lightly...I was a frequent Enterprise customer in Annapolis, MD for…read moreyears and never had a single problem (in fact this experience makes me so grateful for the amazing Enterprise teams in Annapolis MD). This location is a completely different experience. Three days ago I returned a rental and called the branch about 30 minutes later to report I had accidentally left a brand new garage door opener clipped to the visor. Branch Manager Kelsey Walsh confirmed she would pull it from the vehicle and hold it for me. No problem, she said. Today my family, displaced from our home due to a flooding emergency, Ubered to this location ($49) to pick up our reservation. When I asked about my garage door opener, Walsh told me she had accidentally given it to another customer. Then told me it was my fault for leaving it in the car. Enterprise has my home address on file. An unknown person now has a garage door opener to my house. That is a security liability. She then told me my reservation had been canceled. Staff claimed they called and left a voicemail at 11AM, the exact time of my reservation, not before it. I checked my phone on the spot. No missed call. No voicemail. No email. Nothing. My full call log for the day has been screenshot and saved. Our homebuilder's corporate team then made a second reservation on my behalf due to our displacement. Confirmation number 2095916825. Written confirmation received at 5:02PM. I arrived at 5:15PM and showed Walsh the confirmation on my phone. The moment she saw it was me, she said the vehicle was no longer available. This is blatant retaliation, which is illegal. Two confirmed reservations. Same branch. Same day. Both denied. $126 in documented out of pocket costs. Missed our destination. Kid and dog sitting outside with our bags. Florida Attorney General complaint filed. BBB complaint filed. Formal written notice sent to Walsh directly and franchise owner Mohammed Abushbah.

The service was impeccable. The owner was friendly and provided great service. Instead of renting and stopping by the beach for an hour or two instead we pretty much drove the slingshot the entire time. We drove up the A1A from St. Augustine to Jacksonville then drove back down 95. It was the most amazing experience. Needless to say, I will be renting from heat again. The slingshot was clean and the handling was amazing. We picked the manual one because hey driving manual are more fun. The performance on the slingshot was top notch. I may end pitching my own. In the meantime this will be my place to rent from. I couldn't have asked for better service!

The car had food crumbs in the seat, cup holder and smelled of cigarettes. I asked for another car and the guy behind the desk yelled in the back to the young boy "Hey did you clean that car?" The boy responded "I tried". The clerk tossed another key on the desk and told me to "go check that other one out". I went outside and that car was also just as dirty. He then got even more rude and said "well here is the only other car I have" and tossed the keys on the counter. At that point, I was already running late. That car also smelled of cigarettes and had NOT been cleaned, but I was desperately trying to avoid being late for my trip and had no other option but to take it. I ended up cleaning out the inside entirely myself. I tried calling budget twice and was on hold for over an hour. I then tried filing a report at the drop off center and was told "I can't do anything you have to do it online." 1. These were the dirtiest rental cars I have ever seen, and apparently were being cleaned by the mans son who was definitely not legal working age. 2. This was incredibly unsafe to have a boy so young driving these cars around the lot. 3. I called Budget just recently to place a complaint and the supervisor, John Hernandez 54900 lectured ME that I should have called them sooner (I waited until my vacation was over to call) and questioned if I was being truthful about the young boy driving cars. I will never rent from Budget again and encourage you to especially avoid this location at all costs.

I went directly to Home Depot (Durbin Park) and they were very happy to rent in the rain.
