OMG! This company is awesome! And the only moving company near Jacksonville FL that will help move a new hot tub to the backyard. Call Minorcan if you order a hot tub from Costco. Even the hot tub manufacturer (Strong Spas, Evolution Spas) recommend them! We moved a big hot tub to the back yard with zero damage. Stirling is an owner and the team lead. The 3 movers were very efficient. However, they did not show the contract to the owner until the move was over. They were tired and didn't take a break so when the seller was asked to sign, she point blank asked will your company take care of this. They said yes. Definitely. The sofa they dropped was a very expensive sofa. They are representing this company! When she was asked to sign, she asked the right question and in front of a witness. The company will give her $100. She was not verbally offered any form of insurance or a better form of insurance! She felt she could trust a professional local company who have stood up to their name for more than a dozen years. When I asked others about their service, they stated that since the father was no longer involved, the personal guarantees and customer service seems to have lapsed. Some were ok. Some were very positive.Consistency keeps referrals coming. It's unfortunate that the last piece was dropped. But the company should have made it right. Last job they did, they left oil on the drive. I called and they said some one would call me back. This morning at 9:00, I called about the sofa and the woman who answered the phone said the owner would call me back soon. Just as she said 2 weeks ago about the oil stains. I've been a Realtor for 32 years. Rule 1: always return your calls when promised and always within 24 hours. I'm hoping this is an issue that the owner will decide to do the right thing and will motivate their customer service to improve. If so, I will edit my review gladly. read more

As an Interior Designer with way too much furniture, art, and accessories who also moves a LOT...Minorcan Moving and Storage is the BEST I've ever found!! They have moved us three times (once without us even being present) and currently store our furnishings. Everyone is so polite and professional, the jobs are always on schedule and the packing is always extremely meticulous. The office is also wonderful about reminders and keeping in touch every step of the way. Some of my belongings are very precious and others not so much, yet Minorcan treats every piece with careful consideration. I am yet to discover a single scratch, nick, indentation, pull, or crack; I can't give them enough stars!!! read more

Excellent! I highly recommend!! I previously used other movers in town and recommend Minorcan Movers as top notch. The drivers are pleasant and professional. They were on time and efficient. Their price is great and everything went super smoothly. My request to office owners: I wish they'd texted and/or emailed me day before. It would have helped me feel more assured that they're on the ball and I was on their calendar. Obviously I was on their calendar but a reassurance would have been a nice customer service touch. FYI... Others movers I've used: Morey Movers - awful- sent one sane guy and 2 "crackheads" who were a mess. and Two Men and a Truck were more costly by appxly 20%, surly and complained. read more

I used Minorcan Movers for a move from St Augustine to Alachua. Movers were bought lunch, tipped $75 each at the end of the move, bought a six pack of beer each - which they requested. Once unloaded and after several days of going through all of our boxes, we discovered one box missing: A box of expensive tools. These tools were loaded onto the truck but were never found amongst what was delivered. My husband notified Autumn on Wednesday (eight days after the move) after all boxes were unloaded to let her know he was missing $1000 worth of tools. She said she would check with her guys and get back with us. When we had not heard from her in 3 days, I called her back and left a message reiterating we were missing tools and I believe her men stole them. Another 2 days passed without contact from Minorcan and I called again leaving a second message (3rd contact). She called me back stating they don't work over the Thanksgiving holiday and therefore had not had a chance to check into our $1000 theft. She was upset because I identified her movers as black and that meant I was racially profiling them. She offered $30 for the tools and said she would do more but I was a racist. This is a fantastic family-owned, local moving business. Crew was conscientious and never stopped humping from the moment they arrived at 8 a.m. until they left late in the afternoon with all of our things back the way they were when they first picked them up, just in a different house. Simply the Best movers we've ever had, and we have used many. Not a thing was left behind and there were no dents in other house or any of our furniture. The management was fantastic. They took care to get an accurate account of what we had to move so as to let us know as accurately as possible what we could expect to pay. When the big day came, everything was meticulously planned out - from when the movers would arrive, to when they would begin the drive up to our new home, to what time they would arrive to unload. My brother hired Minorcan Movers to move his belongings into storage. Several months later, I hired them to store my things when I was between homes. When my brother failed to pay his storage bill, Minorcan sold the contents of my unit to satisfy his unpaid bill. I lost family heirlooms that were priceless. They refused to reimburse me and never issued an apology. This happened many years ago and I'm still heartbroken. read more
