The company will give her $100. She was not verbally offered any form of insurance or a better form of insurance! She felt she could trust a professional local company who have stood up to their name for more than a dozen years. When I asked others about their service, they stated that since the father was no longer involved, the personal guarantees and customer service seems to have lapsed. Some were ok. Some were very positive.Consistency keeps referrals coming. It's unfortunate that the last piece was dropped. But the company should have made it right. Last job they did, they left oil on the drive. I called and they said some one would call me back. This morning at 9:00, I called about the sofa and the woman who answered the phone said the owner would call me back soon. Just as she said 2 weeks ago about the oil stains. I've been a Realtor for 32 years. Rule 1: always return your calls when promised and always within 24 hours. I'm hoping this is an issue that the owner will decide to do the right thing and will motivate their customer service to improve. If so, I will edit my review gladly.

Normally this is something my wife and I would just handle, and maybe recruit some friends...but she was 8 month pregnant at the time and I wouldn't let her pick up anything heavy. So we turned to a moving company. After reading through review for several companies, and excluding ones that weren't available on the upcoming weekend we landed on Jaguar movers, and I'm super happy with our choice. The initial communication with them was very professionally, they gave us all the details we needed, and followed up with any questions we had. On the day of the move both Cory and Waymon showed up a few minutes early, did a walk through of the house, and then got right to work. My wife and I had packed up most of the stuff already but they wrapped up anything that might get damaged in any way. At the new house they were patient while we pointed out where everything went, and were super careful putting things down on the hardwood floors. To top the entire experience off; a very small support piece from an Ikea piece got misplaced in the move and none of use could find it. We looked through the truck and I really feel like Cory and Waymon did a great job looking for it. Even though we couldn't find it, it must have been in the truck somewhere because the next day they drove back to our new house to return it! I made my hopefully final move into a house and scheduled them for 9am. I called around 9:20 to find out where they were, no one had contacted me. Said there was a personal emergency and it would be 10:30. 11 rolls around, still nothing. I call again because they are not keeping me updated, they finally arrive around 11:30. It took over six and a half hours, constant complaints of how a third guy wasn't sent, they didn't wrap anything other than my tv, and actually broke off some of the brick on my steps at my new place for how rough they were being with my belongings. And after all that.... A 5% discount. Please do not use Jaguar moving. You and your furniture deserve much better.
