We needed very last minute help last week, picking up, and delivering a leather reclining couch we purchased. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. I used Jax Budget Movers a few months ago for a local move. Maddie seemed really nice on phone and their quote was reasonable. Issue 1. Their lead guy was hopped up on Red Bull and the two other boys didnt know anything about furniture moving. They broke 2 glass shelves on my Antique China Cabinet. I had tried getting in touch with Maddie and John, the owners, many many times by both emails and texts. They did not respond. I wanted them to replace the 2 shelves which they broke with the same quality glass that the other two shelves are made of. They have not responded. Their movers were negligent. They should have removed the glass shelves and wrapped them before moving them to new location. 2. They rushed the move when arriving at new location and did not set furniture where requested. 3. They charged more than their quote and would not give me a receipt. Which has also been requested many times to no avail. Definitely would not use again nor recommend. I would give a 0 review if offered. read more

Tony and China helped us move apartments and did a great job. They showed up a little behind schedule but made up for it by working quickly and efficiently. We had to reschedule a couple of times due to construction delays and Maddie worked with us to get everything scheduled and they were great to work with. Wow! What a great moving company. So glad I called to have my 10' x 10' storage unit loaded up and delivered to my home. Very courteous and very professional. Prices are extremely reasonable. From the start of the day, I was called and made aware of their arrival time by John, not once but twice. They worked non-stop from loading up to unloading and never stopped. I wish I was able to give more than 5 stars!! I had hired a different company to move us and at the last minute they cancelled leaving us in a terrible bind as we had to be out of our house completely on a Saturday. I called many different companies because I had never used a company before and was just going down the list. Of course there were no openings at the very last minute. I reached Jax Budget Moving and explained everything that had happened. They had an opening later in the afternoon and I took it. Having always moved ourselves and the horrible experience we had just had, I was weary even though until the movers actually came. Mine weariness was definitely unwarranted and everything was great. The movers, Lee & Eddie, we great. They were professional, courteous, and went above all expectations. They made it to my home on a rainy Saturday afternoon and quickly loaded my stuff and drove over an hour and unloaded my stuff. By the time they were done after working extremely hard it was about 15 minutes til midnight. Even after a very long and tiresome day they were still as they were many hours earlier. I am thankful for nobody having any openings so I could get yo them. I will definitely be using them again if I am moving. read more

We hired Jax Budget Movers last minute because the people packing our moving truck didn't show up and my husband was packing the truck m'y himself for 2 days. We hired them for a quick 2 hour job to finish about 1/4 of the truck getting packed! They arrived later than we were told. The guys were great, friendly and courteous but as we are now unpacking found out they were not the best at packing the truck! Many things were set on top of others damaging pieces, they put metal frames against airtight bags causing them to rip open, as well as setting boxes against our 60" tv causing it to bend! I am less than impressed by the amount of pieces damaged that they packed! The rest of the truck that was packed before them have no damage, no scratches or scuffs. This is not what I imagined when paying for "professional" movers to pack the truck! At the least I would have thought it would be opposite! I am only giving this 2 stars because the guys were friendly and nice. Also because they were available short notice and helped my husband because without the 2 extra hands my husband would've been working all night alone and he was exhausted! read more

I really didn't want to give you 2 stars but I think you need to know how the customers feel. There comes a certain expectation when dealing with businesses on general. Some people have great experiences with moving and others...not so much. Please note that I am not bashing this company at all just an observation. After seeing a recommendation via facebook I thought I would give Jacksonville Budget Movers a try since I knew that I would be needing moving services soon. I called this company at least three and half weeks in advance. I spoke to a Maddie to as her to run a quote and all of the information about their services. I was assured that based on what I had given her that this would be the ideal mover for us. Maddie stated that she would place me on her calendar and that she would send me via Google docs the estimate; never received the email or quote. A week goes by and I reached out again and it was confirmed but still no email confirmation. A day before the move I called to find out if the movers were still coming No answer. I called back and said I called to confirm but no one answered and Maddie stated to me "Yes" I did receive your message.but needed to make a slight change in the schedule as they had a job that they needed to do and they would be there at a later time than I had requested. I was okay with it and at the same time gave her a different email since I didn't receive the first two. Well, since My scheduled appointment was never kept Maddie was kind enough to send me a text to let me know that the movers were held up which you know can cause a domino effect along the way. 1:40pm I get a text saying the movers were done and going to call me with an ETA to meet me at my requested destination. Well I don't want to carry on since this is already long. Needless to say there was a whole different crew that finally came around 4:30pm. I'm not sure what moving company showed up to my house. This is what I will say. I appreciate the effort and whoever found the other movers Thank you but this is not how you handle situations such as this. I get the feeling that this happens all the time with certain moving companies. It's called Follow-up and Follow-through. Just let the customer know what's going on every step of the way regardless of what changes had to be made along the way. I hope you get it together and this was not how things normally go. read more
