My Nissan dealer warned me about my brakes. Since they screwed me with a simple O2 sensor replacement, I decided to do this job with Brakes 4 Less as they have really good references. And now I know they deserve each and everyone of them. I came in at 8am sharp. They did a check one my brakes. The dealer said I have 5 mm on my front pads, turns out it is 7 mm so more than good enough. The rear brake pads only had, 2 mm. So that had to be done. Super friendly guys. Ordered the ceramic pads (longer lasting and 60k miles warranty) and the rotors resurfaced. All together a little more than an hour including ordering and receiving the brake pads. My brakes have been squeaking & grinding intermittently for a few months now. I had a Dodge dealership do a brake inspection during my last oil change, and they said my brakes were fine, and they still had a lot of life left in them. So the squeaking & grinding continued. I then tried brake cleaner, and it helped for a few days, but the squeaking and grinding eventually returned. After a little Googling, I found Brakes 4 Less, and they had terrific reviews, with a handful of questionable ones. So I was a little hesitant, but proceeded anyways since they were open on Saturdays, and I was desperate to get rid of the squeaking & grinding. I am so glad I did. Rob and his crew were simply awesome people to work with. I came in during my appointment, and they kept me informed throughout the whole process. After the inspection, Rob showed me my brake pads, and confirmed what the Dodge dealership said about the life of the pads, but pointed out the cause of the noise, which was rust on the pads. He said I can easily and safely continue driving, if the noise doesn't bother me, which they also heard during their test drive. But if I wanted to get rid of the noise, then replacing the pads was the best option, which I was more than willing to do. So far, no more squeaking and grinding noises, and fingers crossed, it does not come back any time soon. He did advise that rust may rear its ugly head down the road, but he was confident it would be some time before we have to cross that bridge again. Thanks Rob & Crew. read more

I came to see them based on a suggestion from another auto body shop up the road. Once I got my car there they did the inspection for free and suggested only what I needed. I was about to drive across the country so I needed to make sure my car was in order. I can't remember his name but he was very honest and made great conversation and connection not only about cars but about life. Visit: Came in because I felt pulsation in the brakes for the last two weeks. I hadn't done anything to my brakes in several years so the timing seemed about right. I knew I'd need new brakes on all four wheels, and googled the cause for pulsating brakes.. none of the options were great. Estimate: Rob was great, he first inspected my car, second explained the problem and third gave me a few options to consider . The first option was his recommendation (highest price by $40). Second was the recommended minimum (mid price). Last was the price for a four wheel brake job which is what I came in for, but would only be a band aid to the actual problem (cheapest price by $200). Resolution: I ended up going with the recommended service because everything he said made sense. I appreciate the time he took to explain the issues and was happy to be out of there two hours later with a safer vehicle. Problem fixed! Tip: Call and make an appointment with the store itself! Not the national line. While sitting in the waiting room I saw a couple of customers come in to get service, thinking they had appointments but did not have a computer reservation. I had a horrible experience with this company. St Augustine shop. I brought my Jeep there because it was making a high pitch squeal when I pushed on the brakes. The manager called after inspecting my Jeep and said that I needed a brake booster $637.00 and that would fix the problem. I originally brought it there for brakes but he said that's not what I needed. I still had a good 10,000 or more before I would need new brakes he said. He called said that my Jeep was ready to pick up. I go get it pay the bill and leave. I stop at a red light and it made the same high pitch squeal. I called manager and said it's doing the same thing it was when I brought it in. I brought it back to them he got in to drive it and I could hear it when he pushed on the brakes. He come back in the office act like he didn't hear anything. I looked at him are you serious right now?? He said well you can get brakes if you like? I was in complete shock! I said you made it very clear this morning when you called that I did not need brakes. He said I wouldn't put brakes on it anyway till you got that booster done. Do you want to make an appointment or not I'm about to close. So be very careful when dealing with these people. They do this by default on purpose it's away to get more money after the fact and they cover there basis while doing it. It's like they follow a script. I had no problem getting brakes that's what I went there for in the first place. I was told I didn't them that I just needed the booster. The robbed me for over $600 The corporate office is a complete joke they are no help at all. I bet they didn't even install the booster. Having certified mechanic confirm. I went to them after a friend had a great experience there. The service was wonderful, very quick, and the place is very clean. There is a plastic barrier at the cashiers, and they have comfortable chairs seated outside if you want to wait outside. They spray everything down and people wear masks. I think their prices are the best in the area, too. They don't try to sell you stuff you don't need and are very honest. I will go here again! read more

Rob and his team did me a great service, fixing critical parts in less than 24 hours. My rotor was super heated and badly damaged, due to a sticking caliper. They showed me what was wrong while the car was on the lift, changed out and bled the lines, installed a new rotor and made the vehicle safe to drive again. I had quite an experience here at Brakes 4 Less, and I wasn't sure whether to give 1 star or 5 stars, but now that I've had time to reflect, I gotta give these guys props. My wife's car needed new brake pads, so I decided to make an appointment with Brakes 4 Less (they take appointments online). So when I showed up on time for my appointment, they had no clue I was coming in, no idea what for, and they were absolutely slammed with customers. So after waiting 5 hours, they took my car in, told me the problem, and then let me know they didn't have the parts available, and that I would have to come back 2 days later to get it fixed. However, since I waited so long, they offered me a hell of a deal to get the job done, so I left in a pretty good mood. I came back for the next appointment, and they took the car right in, got everything fixed fairly quickly, and then let me know what they had done- they had changed the brake pads on the wrong wheels. Since it was a few minutes before closing time, they didn't have the parts to change on the wheels that were actually bad, and that I was going to have to come back AGAIN to have the pads that were worn replaced. So I left pretty angry, knowing I had spent about 8 hours waiting at the shop, and they still hadn't done the job right. So I came back a few days later on time, and to their credit- they took the car straight in, replaced the pads that needed to be replaced, and along with an apology, did the job for free. So although I did have to visit the shop 3 times, and spent about 10 hours total in their waiting room, I paid a ridiculously low price to have all 4 brake pads replaced on the car. The guys working here are super friendly and legitimately go out of their way to save people money. While I was waiting in the waiting room, I saw many a customer come in with problems on their brakes, and watched the manager make phone calls to parts stores, junkyards, and check websites to get the very best price on the parts needed to save them money. These guys know their stuff, and they did quality work. The quality of their work is top-notch. I just wish they had a facility like up in Jacksonville- this shop only has 2 bays, 3 lifts, and it's apparent they're understaffed and overworked. This place is ALWAYS busy. Yet, even with all that, they're super friendly and go out of their way to help the customer get their brakes fixed and save money doing it. So overall, I have to say I had a GREAT experience here, despite all the aggravation- if you need brake work done on your vehicle, stop in to Brakes 4 Less. Just be patient, it may take a few visits, but it will get done, but it will get done right and at a great price. read more
