I called Bozard Ford & was told that I could bring it in today & that it was about a 1 hour wait time. I drove from Jax to St Aug near the outlet mall. I went to Bozard Ford service lane & they directed me to Quick Lane for my oil change. I was a little reluctant but found out that they are owned by Ford so I went ahead & brought it in. My service advisor Sonya recommended Ford's Garage restaurant for Lunch & I was able to walk the short distance there. By the time I finished my lunch, I received a call that my truck was ready. I was back on the road in less than an hour. I believe that they washed the truck too. Full Synthetic (7 quarts) was $106. Great service & Sonya was knowledgeable & friendly.

As someone who works on cars myself, I know that a MAF sensor is plug-and-play on this vehicle and does not require any programming. The "reprogramming" they quoted usually just means driving the car around to recalibrate the computer, which takes minutes, yet they charged $200 for it. When I spoke on the phone with a representative who gave the name "Trevor," he said the reprogramming might not even be needed, but they wouldn't know until after doing the work. To me, this interaction felt untrustworthy. He also used jargon unnecessarily to make it sound more complicated than it is, something any reputable mechanic shop should avoid. The labor to replace the sensor is typically 5-10 minutes, and the part can be purchased OEM (Nissan factory) for ~$230-$250. My advice: get a second opinion or buy the part yourself to save hundreds of dollars.

The manager on duty confirmed the shop has no surveillance cameras and initially denied all responsibility, offering only to "detail" the vehicle despite visible mold and moisture. Because of that refusal, I was forced to open an insurance claim for shop negligence. Only after that claim was filed did the shop reach out saying they wanted to "take photos" and "look again," which I declined due to the biohazard condition and lack of secure indoor storage for vehicles at that facility. And quite frankly hostile nature, saying I wasnt being civil. I gave them every opportunity to fix this before escalation. This incident has been formally filed with: * Florida Department of Agriculture & Consumer Services (FDACS Case #2510-01788) * Florida Attorney General's Office * Florida Department of Highway Safety & Motor Vehicles (Region 3) The vehicle remains contaminated and will not be returned to this location.
