Doing work on my car without my au thorization and catching them. Quality was very poor. Jammed up my steering wheel, telescope and my turn signal then called me a liar twice on something I didn't do. If I do it I own it! Anyway, 3/4 of my car bill is labor and 1/4 over inflated parts, cars finally put back together but I can't pick up during the M-F 9am-5pm hours and closed weekends. So l told them to leave the car out and I would pick up but when I turned on car I had to shut down fast and get it towed out of there fast. It's like someone purposely played with the motor. I never let any shop know I have more mechanics skills than most there workers, they still think women are dumb. They loosened and flipped my alt belt, loosened and chewed up teeth on my lower two belts, damaged my new paint job. I never had a chance to put the corvette emblem back on...It's been at their shop for so many, many, months. Please, customers beware. I am sending pics. read more

This is a great shop. Why? Because they are incredibly honest. One of my cars is 20 years old and I tend to do a lot of the work on it myself. When I need service that goes beyond my skill or tools, these are the guys I go to. Several times, I had issues where a less reputable mechanic would have taken advantage of the situation to do extra work or sell extra unneeded parts. Not these guys. As an example, I recently had some AC issues and took my car in to get the AC checked out. It wasn't blowing very cold. I thought I needed new o-rings or had a leak in the compressor since the hoses all looked good. It's an old car, so they could have easily found all sorts of parts that needed to be replaced. But the parts were actually fine and after checking everything out and not finding any leaks, they recharged my system and told me to keep an eye on it. They did everything right too, using dye and a sensor to check for leaks. I paid a small bill for the recharge work instead of the big bill some mechanics would have charged to replace stuff that wasn't broken and and my AC is still blowing cold a few weeks later. So very reputable shop here and my go-to mechanic. read more

Extremely satisfied! My Subaru Outback developed problems where the sensors were reading inconsistent values with lost engine power and the transmission slipping. They took the time and diagnosed the problem to a single source which resolved all of the symptoms at a very reasonable cost. The car runs beautifully. I must add they certainly had the opportunity to replace several sensors, try other potential solutions and cost me an arm and a leg: Instead they were very honest in their diagnosis as well as the actual repair and, bonus, it did not break the bank. It's always an amazement when you experience something so humorous and infuriating at the same time. When you give a business your trust, there's an unspoken expectation... value my business. Don't break my trust. Don't lose your integrity Feldman's had my trust but they didn't honor it nor value it. Thus they threw away their integrity. Feldman had my car for 2 weeks to fix an issue. The day I finally pick it up, the issue isn't fixed. Gary's response? "Oh we didn't "FIX the problem.. we just got it running again. We didn't know you wanted us to "fix it" fix it". I'm sorry... can you repeat that Gary? You didn't know we wanted you to fix it fix it? You honestly think we just wanted you to "get it running?" Like temporarily? So the car will just once again randomly die on the highway or in the middle of a busy road? Is that what you would want for your wife's car? Or your car for that matter? Cuz that's really scary.. very unsafe. Shame on you for allowing me to pick up my car, pay you 600.00 and allow me to drive a car that was unsafe. Absolutely fantastic! About six months ago I bought a 2010 minicooper from a mini dealer in Jacksonville. The dealer did not tell me that the one thing that the various on-board computers don't check for is engine oil level. Of course, neither did the dealer. So, one day while driving, I hear a clunk, the engine light comes on and the engine seizes. I had the car towed to Feldman. I was told there was a little less than one quart of oil in the crankcase and the engine most likely had thrown a rod. Feldman installed a new engine (long block) and, of course, a new clutch plate/bearing. The work was professional, done on a timely basis, and was very reasonable ---- compared to what it would have cost had I taken the car back to the dealer. Feldman also test drove the car for about 50 miles to make sure that everything was done properly and that all the systems work. What more can anyone ask for!! If you have a problem with your car, you won't go,wrong by having Feldman do the work! read more

Overall I am happy with the services provided by Feldman auto repair, however I'm a little disappointed this morning. I dropped off my car yesterday to have a dead battery replaced, and when they called later in the afternoon to tell me the work was completed I let them know I would be by to pick it up in the morning. They let me know they were open from 8-12, and when I showed up at 11:30 to get my car the entire place was closed. Not only were they closed when they verbally told me they would be open, but they left my car unlocked. This would be understandable if they were to have left my keys in the car as well for me to still get it, but the keys were no where to be found. I'm not impressed by the decision to close early when they knew a customer was coming to retrieve their car. read more

Ok. Car won't start. Call Feldman Auto, made Gary listen to what happened when I tried to start. "Battery" Gary says, Me I'm like are you sure!! Gary is clear that his Crystal Ball may not be working today and that over the phone isn't that reliable a diagnostic tool! Ha Ha. Of course it was the battery. I was promised a call explaining and quoting a particular problem. I was called and told my car was ready and I owed $230.56. Fine. I went down to pick it up and when I got in the car the same warning light was on. They said NO PROBLEM, we'll reset it. 45 minutes later the tech guy clearly having trouble "resetting" it went into office and then theytold me I had another, larger problem. They said it didn't show before but now IT was the problem. They clearly are not fully trained to work on foreign cars. Besides that, after the technician (and I use that term loosely) pulled and tugged on every wire under the hood when I left I had no AIR CONDITIONING! Of course that too must be my fault because my wife refused to drive my car down there be cause it was too cold. And finally there is grease on the carpets, steering wheel, elbow console, passenger side carpets and both door jams. Just a total TECH SLOB. Nice work Feldman!! read more

Two of the hardest things we can do are buy a car, and then find a reliable trustworthy shop when somthing goes wrong. Miserable experience with a transmission replacement that they recommended... failing within a few weeks of the installation. Thereafter; they claimed that I should have expected no better from a 'junk' transmission--which was the first time they had used that description. Stories changed, excuses were issued and they did nothing to make good on it. Was REALLY surprised at their reaction and the abysmal way they did business, even after doing a small amount of business previously. Spent the same amount of money (to replace their replacement) with a 'name' transmission repair company that offered me an extensive warranty and offered a VERY poor opinion of the condition of the transmission they installed. Will NEVER do business with this company again and recommended extreme caution working with them on anything serious. They seem to be fine for oil changes and the like but this experience was THE most miserable (and costly) car repair misadventure I've ever dealt with. read more

I found myself a new mechanic! The most important thing I look for in a car mechanic is honesty. My 07 Nissan Pathfinder broke down and was towed to Feldman Auto Repair. Feldman was recommended to me by a friend who swears by this place and I didn't want to get ripped off like I have been at other places. Mike (the owner) gave me a quick diagnosis- and unfortunately it wasn't good. My transmission was shot and it was going to be an expensive repair. He gave me options- one of which was to get a used, remanufactured transmission and save money, but he warned me that it was risky. What really impressed me was that he basically talked me out of spending thousands to fix the car and recommended that I cut my losses and trade it in. The cost of the replacing the transmission was almost as much as the value of my vehicle and it would have been stupid to dump that kind of money into it. I appreciated his honesty because he probably could have talked me in to spending the money at Feldman to fix it. Mike's recommendation cost him some business, but I will be coming back knowing that he's a mechanic that I can trust. On a side note- I liked the vibe of his shop. A few customers came while I was there and I watched how he and the other mechanics interacted with them. They were very friendly and personable- way different than going to a chain place like Goodyear or Tires Plus where you wait forever to talk to somebody and it takes forever for them to call you to let you know what's going on. I have another old car that needs some work (oil leaks) and I'll be bringing it in to Feldman in the near future. I'll write another review that speaks to the quality of their work. read more

Very nice people. I came to to them because i saw they have good reviews. My car kept shutting off when i would come to a complete stop so I brought it to them & they hooked up the computer to me car & then they told me it was my oxygen sensor. So i came back so they could fix it. They replaced it along with some spark plugs, later on that day I went to the gas station & filled my car up & i go to leave the gas station & my car shut off again so immediately i called them to tell them & they told me to come back. I planned on going back but then 2 days after that incident, I had to get gas again on my way to work & once again i go to leave & my car won't start at all. Tried to start it at least 10 times, had to call a tow company, was late to work. I called a friend who knows cars & he told me that they had ripped me off because clearly my car has a fuel problem. So it's been a week without having a car & i am very disappointed that auto part stores take advantage of people who have no idea about cars. read more
