If you get into a rental car from enterprise my biggest piece of advice is to NOT take the expressway. I did all my due diligence adding my rental vehicle to my ipass account to AVOID any and all fees possible communicated thru my enterprise advisor and I STILL got slapped with the bogus fees (3 of them) and currently still waiting to get the 3rd one refunded which the charge will be disputed within 48 hours because enterprise citation department runs on miscommunication and lies. I've wasted over 10 hours of my life on phone calls getting nowhere for this last $25 fee it's ridiculous! The charges were for expressway tolls when I did everything I could and had my rental vehicle added to ipass account already! I refuse to use enterprise next time I get the chance. This is NOT how you do business. I only caught this because I actually check my statements. Most people don't and unfortunately overlook and don't even see these fees and get ripped off. Enterprise knows this and is falsely charging thousands of innocent customers and should be reported by the BBB. Never had to dispute a charge in my life with a perfect credit score but if not resolved within 48 hours I'll be forced to dispute. Never had bigger problems with a company in my life. Do better Enterprise.

    So this not a review against the branch BUT the company. We rented a vehicle on July 20,2024 to go…read moreto a wedding in Waukesha, WI that started at 4:00 pm. Mind you Waukesha, WI is 2 hours NORTH of Naperville, IL, we used our own I-pass and all the tools per our I-pass were paid. Got home returned the vehicle and then a few days later got a "citation" from enterprise saying we missed 2 tolls in Markham, Il at 5:05pm and 10:20pm. HMM well that would be some kind of MAGIC that here we are at a wedding in WI and getting charged for tolls in Markham, IL at the same time. Called enterprise and spoke to 4 separate people, responded to the emails asking for proof and SENT them proof, time stamped photos from wedding for BOTH tolls, called the Illinois tollway authority and had an enterprise employee speak to them. The tollway authority has NO record of sending this citation nor any record of the vehicle traveling south to Markham,Illinois. We got off the tollway in Downers Grove and that was the last exit going north or south for the vehicle. Enterprise charged my card, so I called again, the employee said to escalate it and ask for a manager in the customer service dept. So I did the NASTY lady I spoke to kept talking over me, saying I wasn't telling the truth, saying she was the ONLY manager. What a SCAM, if they do this to 100 people a month that's $2800 because the toll was $3 (that we didn't go through) PLUS a $25 fee! SCAM!!! and the person answering the emails needs to check themselves, again I did nothing wrong we weren't even in the STATE and they keep saying that we somehow were in Markham, il @ 5:05pm and in Waukesha, WI @ 5:07pm! Prove it, we have photos of the car going north and south and getting off at Downers grove 55th street plaza. Shame on such a big company for NOT doing the right thing and SCAMMING customers who rent from them! Just got ANOTHER email from their customer relations " telling me that because I rented the car in Illinois I am guilty". Again check your info before you send emails and put it in writing! I originally booked the Oswego Ogden Enterprise location but because they were giving me a hard time, I went down the road to this Aurora Ogden Enterprise. Dylan, while working with another woman in-line ahead of me, greeted me as soon as I walked through the doors even though he was the only one working. There were 4 other customers in that lobby waiting! I saw Dylan treating ALL the clients who came in with respect! Oh, and you know how you can tell when people don't want to help you? That wasn't the case with Dylan. He gave his 100% in making sure all the clients in the lobby were attended to, he made sure they knew they were acknowledged, and that they were satisfied with their rental. Dylan gave me available vehicle options and walked me through the entire rental process, not missing a step! I chose a car that was not yet prepped and he promised a clean time of 10 minutes or less--he delivered on his promise as the car came out clean and ready to go. Dylan is why I continue to trust and use Enterprise's services and he is what EVERY Enterprise should strive to be and provide to their customer. Make Dylan a regional manager or give him a promotion because, Enterprise, this is one of your best employees!!!

From the moment I walked in, he was dismissive, rude, and made it clear that customer service was the last thing on his mind. He talked down to me, ignored my concerns, and acted like I was an inconvenience rather than a paying customer. Not only was Cody unprofessional, but he also showed a complete lack of accountability when issues with my rental came up. Instead of offering solutions, he gave me attitude and excuses. It felt like he was doing me a favor by even speaking to me. I've rented from Enterprise before and never had a problem -- until now. I picked up a rental that was not only filthy dirty but I smelled like someone spent the night inside it & was smoking marijuana or stink weed. At first I though it was skunk but it got worse & I realized it was the smell of drugs. Also I was given a car with no gas, the red light was on on the dash & I was lucky to make it to the gas station. I returned it & refused another car as I had put $25.00 worth of gas & I could not drive the car. The Assistant & Branch Managers are nothing but paper pushers & pass the buck. I had to complain to State Farm & Enterprise but I do not know if I will ever see my $25.00 in gas. How can a legitimate business send out cars that lack cleanliness & gas to paying customers? In addition, how can they require that we sign a contract & take a $50.00 deposit for a nasty car?

On Tuesday morning I received a phone call that the type of vehicle I reserved was not available for a morning pickup but would be on site by early afternoon. I rearranged my obligations to accommodate this change in timing-but received no communication from the location throughout the day. I contacted them at 4pm to check on the status and the first gentleman I spoke to first told me they were hopeful a vehicle would be there by 6pm and then told me a vehicle would be available tomorrow. When I then asked who else I could speak to as this experience was unacceptable the manager then informed me no cars are available until Thursday. I cannot fathom how a company would allow you to make a reservation for something that is not available. Beyond that to basically be told sorry, sucks to be you we have no options for you and we can't help you is deplorable. I can tell you that based on this experience I will never be renting from enterprise again and beyond that will be sharing the same advice with my friends, families, colleagues and even enemies because I would not wish this experience on anyone.
