Sonny Singh..Assistant Facility Manager was so very helpful when I brought my car with a tire that I thought was going flat because my FORD had a notice that a tire was going flat...I was sure there was a puncture. He took it off and checked it out and told me that this tire was low because the weather was so cold. He checked all the tires...and said all is well...I didn't have to worry. Triple AAA is worth the membership. I've used their car repair center in Aurora, IL. since 2024 for both of my cars and I have to say, I have always been impressed with the professionalism of the staff, who are always accommodating. One of many of the service advisors (Sonny), is very knowledgeable and thoroughly explains the repairs that are needed in detail and always provides suggestions, with options on the most affordable way to fix it. The mechanics like (Marshall) go above and beyond providing visuals on what needs to be repaired in a timely manner and has been one of AAA mechanics that has made sure my car runs smoothly. Both of my cars have been inspected in great detail and the quality of work is always outstanding. In fact, not only am I impressed with their work, but the service advisors like (Sonny), have always been accommodating. During a holiday period, I desperately needed my car prepared for a road trip at the last minute, and all of AAA's mechanics were booked. My service advisor, Sonny contacted me later that morning and said, "I have a great mechanic who is off today, but is willing to come in to make sure, you get to your road trip destination, safely". This repair facility is expensive. My son had his car towed there because he is a triple A member. They told him on the phone he'd get a 10% discount, which turns out is only on the labor. This isn't the normal place he takes his car but had it brought there because of the discount & it's closer to home than his normal place. He got the quote from them & felt it was high but figured they hadn't calculated the 10% discount which they had. He called his usual place & they would've done the job at $100 less. But we would've had to pay for a tow & take more time to get the job done. We had AAA do the repair. We won't be going back. Car Care Plus hosted a pop up tsa pre-check event so I decided to schedule an appointment for future travel. After waiting a half hour, I was informed that the person was going on lunch so my appointment had been cancelled. I explained to the staff at Car Care Plus about this not being right. They failed to take any responsibility for this. All they could tell me is the tsa rep was taking her lunch and they can't do anything about it. I think the host of this event should absolutely take responsibility and should have spoken with the tsa rep before she cancelled my appointment. After seeing how staff responded to this I have little confidence that they can handle auto repair work. read more

I needed brakes for m to ey 2014 Chevy Tahoe. I revieqed what I needed to know about the Tahoe's brake system on line and called reputable businesses in Naperville and Aurora which could do the job properly. All patiently answered my questions, including Marty, the triple A service manager at the Fox Valley location. I had had minor work done by this location before with good results. Marty was able to get me in their shop at th e day and time I requested. The brake system was properly replace on both axles, and the total price was fair. No attempts were made to sell me other services, and I was able to use a $50.00 discount I had received in a mail flyer. This review was not solicited by anyone, nor am I receiving, nor would I accept, any compensation for providing it. I just believe excellent service should be recognized. I appreciated how the employees (service writer to the mechanics) took care of my older collector car. They did not over push unnecessary services and when parts were not immediately available they kept the car inside during bad weather. I have other collector cars and plan to try these guys again. I wish there was a way to give 0 stars; the AAA Classic membership is useless. I'd been a member for several years, and the one time I needed help with towing, I found out that not only AAA charges for distances over 5 miles, but what they charge is above what you can secure privately by calling a local towing service directly (especially if you are in the 20 miles plus range). Adding "Roadside assistance" to your auto insurance is a much better option than AAA Classic membership. read more

"Free" oil change coupon ends up costing me $500. My car requires a special tool to change the oil filter. I had another place tell me that they couldn't change my oil because they lacked the tool. AAA tried it anyways and broke the part. Then, they charged me $100 for it. They said it was because of whoever put it on last. They said my battery was dead, may be true. But it's started fine when I drove there. When I went to pick up my car, it would not start. It was completely dead. Seems strange to me. They jumped started me. Extra pain in the butt because it cleared out the memory in my electronics and requires a special PIN to reset it. So no radio or GPS until I could find that code. (They wanted $220 for a new battery. I drove about 100 yards to NTB and got a better one for $189.) They told me that I might need an alignment. I told them to do it if it needed it. I paid for one - but they never explained the "as found: and "as left" measurements. Did I really need an alignment? I should have known from the start when trying to make the appointment. I called and the phone just rang and rang. It took me three attempts until someone finally answered and I could schedule an appointment. Same sort of thing happened when calling to check on the car. I was put on hold for 15 minutes. I hung up and called back and someone answered. There must be 20 places to change my oil between AAA and my house. I think that I would pick 19 of those before coming to AAA again. read more

So many reasons to love AAA! On top of paying our annual fee to cover is for roadside assistance, we get travel and financial benefits, and......free oil changes. This location just opened and they sent us certificates for free oil changes as customer appreciation. I took my car to this shop because my brake lights were out. They explained that they had to pull the entire back panel out of the lift to put in a new bulb. Bad experience. My car needed jump start one day. So, battery was suspicious. I wanted them to check battery/charging(alternator) and starter before replacing the battery. So, I called them first and the adviser (do not recall the name for sure, but I think Mike) assured me that they always check those things before deciding to replace the battery. Next morning (2/2/19), I took my car to get it checked. Service advisor was Alberto. He got my battery checked and said the test failed. When I asked him about alternator/starter testing, he said it will cost me $29.99 for that. Hmmm, then I said I would go to autozone where they test these things free. But I told him to replace the battery. They have not retested as indicated in my receipt which says "install new battery and retest system". Invoice # 13193 I am a AAA member. I should have called mobile battery service. I can request FREE battery assessment, and then decide battery replacement. There is no cost difference mobile vs shop. I can always call them and argue about this. I am pretty sure they will tell me "bring it back, we will test it for free". It is lot easier for me to go to autozone rather than AAA shop as they close theirs at 6pm. I don't like having to go back to the place second time and haggle about this. my car needed alignment done so i took it here...oh boy was i wrong! four months after the alignment done, they sent me an oil change coupon. i asked them to check the alignment again as it was still pulling me one-way two hours later, when i pick up my car they told me i needed a set of new tries in order to do a proper alignment. i told them why, it wasnt done right? the agent told me your tires were bad! i said no, there were fine before the alignment i saw them and confirmed with the tires shop! NEW! are you telling me now i needed new front ties? he told me yes, i questioned, so it wasnt done properly four months ago? he said well there could be other issue with your car, is an old car you know! i asked like what? he told me he dont really know until i had them to check the car in which will cost me more money!! and why would i do that?!?! cannot believe, AAA, their tech/agent did not apologize, did not take a single ounce of responsibility! in the end, i went in to do a $14.95 oil change, i came out paid the oil change + need to get two new tires from somewhere and probably need to do alignment in another shop! I made an appointment with Alberto to get an alignment done on my 2015 Honda Civic Si. I must say that I am VERY pleased with the service done. Alberto demonstrated to me my spec sheet before the alignment was done and explained to me what was causing my steering wheel to be pulling to one side. They were able to fix my issue and even went above and beyond to check underneath my vehicle and ensure that all was in great condition. I left feeling like I was taken care of and pleased. Alberto definitely got the job done right I must also add in that their mens' washroom was IMMACULATE and smelled amazing, Whatever that smell is, I would like that in my vehicle. Had stopped to fill my tires with air and valve stem broke off causing the tire to immediately deflate. The service department was able to get me in right away and fixed the problem with the valve stem. They did this on a complimentary basis! My a/c was working just fine when I picked up the car the a/c was no longer working and they've refused to repair it and want $950 to fix it. Also I have spoken with 3 other mechanics and they all agreed that AAA should do the repair because it was fine before they did any work. First the car care, oil change was good for the price techs polite and courteous. Now lets talk about the travel/ front desk. If I could give no stars I would. My recent interactions with this Office has led me to reevaluate my membership with AAA. I travel a lot and have used other offices in the past with great satisfaction. I contacted this Office about a recommendation for a city I will be traveling to this month, the girl on the phone proceeded to inform me that for them to do this it would be a $25 FEE fee for they were doing the work for me. So I said I'll do it. Then a few days later I called for I was booking a car on their website using my AAA credit card and had a question about insurance, I was informed to call my insurance company for they would know more. I stated that most credit cards provided some insurance on rentals and I would like to know what AAA provided. I was then told to read the informatiin that was provided with the card. I asked again if she could please look it up for me as i was at work. I was put on hold and when she came back she read me verbatum what was covered i thanked her. Today i went in to get a trip tik. This is driving directions for your road trip. Its included with all memberships. The lady at the desk informed me that anything over 4 stops is a $25 charge. I left and called their corporate office and was informed there is no charge regardless of # of stops. So AAA offers great benefits just avoid this office if you can or you will be paying more for the things that are included with your membership. I know i will. read more

Very positive experience. My AC quit yesterday on my way to work which is 40 miles from home. Stopped here as it's by my office, around 4 pm hoping they could look at it before close. I lucked out as they could, even though busy. Quickly found out I had a hole in the condenser. They offered to order the part to fix it first thing in the morning. Reasonable price too. Easy drop off the next day as they have a key drop, as my ride needed to come before they opened. Fixed as promised by the time I left work. Very courteous staff; clean office, waiting room and shop. Received a coupon card in the mail for $69.95 for an oil change. Walked out paying $96.86. Was told that price only includes 5 quarts of oil and my car needs 6. Ok so charge me for an extra quart. Nope was actually charged for an oil filter too costing $20.56. WHAT THE HECK? I asked for an oil change which means changing the OIL & FILTER. Nope according to AAA that's NOT INCLUDED in the $69.95 oil change price. This place is sad. I realized after the last two experiences that if you get a tow from AAA, they try and direct you to their repair stations. My daughter took their advice rather than having the car towed to our service station. The man who called to report the work needed was rude and condescending - we decided not to deal with them and had it towed to someone we trust and who has customer service skills. AAA is a great company but I will not use them for repairs. Don't appreciate the hard sell on their service centers either. Beware. read more

It was an oil change that I felt shouldn't have taken an hour to do since I called ahead and the rep on the phone said theres no wait and there was no one else there when I got there for an oil change and they seemed to have plenty of staff. Not sure what was going on. I typically pay $55 for a synthetic blend oil change at jiffy lube but I thought since I have AAA car insurance I should go there instead. I paid $46 but taking into account the wait time and they didn't vacuum out the car and It doesn't seem that the fluids were topped off it doesn't seem worth it to go back.
