Hands down one of the worst car rental experiences I've ever had. Zero professionalism or empathy from the on-site manager, Rick. We reserved a rental car well in advance because we needed reliable transportation to take my family to my mother's funeral the next morning. This was not a leisure trip and we didn't want a large vehicle for fun - it was a deeply personal, time-sensitive situation that required a 7 passenger vehicle. When we arrived in town from Hawaii, we were told they did not have the vehicle we rented. Then suddenly they called and said they did but we'd have to wait for them to clean it. Then the story changed and said that this vehicle was actually considered an "upgrade," and we'd have to pay more per day to take it. Our only other option? Pay out of pocket for an Uber to travel two towns over to another Hertz location to get the class of car we had already reserved. So Hertz failed to provide the vehicle we booked, and that became our financial responsibility to fix. Something that has never happened at any other rental company, hotel, flight or any other reservation I've ever made. Because we had no choice, and because my family needed transportation for my mother's funeral, we were essentially forced into paying extra for a vehicle we never asked to upgrade to. When we tried to resolve the issue, Rick repeatedly deflected responsibility, claiming "it's coming from corporate" and that there was nothing he could do. When I called corporate directly, they said the exact opposite, stating that the decision was up to the location manager. I've been in upper level management basically my entire adult life. If you're going to manage a location, you should have the decency to take ownership of problems instead of passing the buck, especially when customers are dealing with something as serious as a funeral. Even in the absence of my specific situation, you shouldn't fail to provide what's already reserved and then push the financial responsibility onto the customer. I will never rent from this location or Hertz again.

I showed up 9 minutes after they opened only to be told they don't have my car. My entire week was based on renting this vehicle and not only am I being told with a bad attitude that they don't have any cars, corporate is willing to do NOTHING about it. When I called the Hertz support number, they were willing to do NOTHING for me. Then as I was talking, the guy hung up on me! I don't see how this is possible. They had all of my information and I didn't even get so much as a phone call. Not once did the gentleman behind the counter apologize. When I said, "well it's not your fault", he said "you're right, it's not". RUDE, RUDE, RUDE! Thanks for nothing Hertz. I was able to call another car rental company and rent a vehicle, but I paid same day price and it was almost double. I am disappointment and at a loss for words that a large company such as Hertz could dishonor their word and reputation and not think twice about it. I'll leave a review anyplace I can and complain to their corporate site, but nothing I can do will fix the inconvenience they've caused me. WHAT A JOKE HERTZ TURNED OUT TO BE. Very disappointing.

So, on Friday, 8/27/21 with about an hour before closing, I call their reservations dept at 844 382 6875 and rent a car for the weekend, Friday thru Monday. Before I hung up the phone I had the "confirmation" in my email, so I thought everything was great. Fast forward 15 minutes...I'm already in my Lyft on my way up to the Plano location when the manager calls me to tell me they do not have anything available, I'm like WTF!!! I'm loking at my email on my iPhone and I have a confirmation, whaddaya mean you don't have a car? He gives me some BS that the system has some lag and that their availability is not really "live time" or some shit like that. I tell him I'm already $12.00 into my Lyft ride on my way up there and all he can do is apologize and says "I can continue to come up there but he cannot garauntee he'll have any cars available when I get up there. So, I told the Lyft driver to turn around, I was certian I'd get this resolved thru corporate. The below images of correspondence are in chronological order. Notice the dozen or so customer service reps all promising the same BS. First, the insincere BS apology, then their BS commitment to get this resolved. To date (9-20-21) I have yet to speak with the F'n manager, or anyone for that matter from that location. I'll be doing a status match on a competiting rental agency and going to give the rental days away to someone I don't like...

The young man I spoke with on the phone I think his name was Ashton hooked me up with a sweet Nissan Frontier because of that fact which was awesome. I'm happy they consider the vehicle you already drive. I was hit by a tire and wheel that rocketed off the President George bush turnpike and homing missiled my truck with me and my cat in it about to step out to the vet. It was crazy! This happened after business hours and unfortunately during spring break so enterprise was very busy but they were able to hook me up with a great ride that doesn't make me feel extremely anxious to get my truck back, fingers crossed the insurance company doesn't total it out. On 3/15/26 at around 10am, the man from the counter gave us an unforgettable experience dealing with an Enterprise employee from this location. Initially we booked through Enterprise's phone service to ensure that we would have a reservation before going to the actual location to pick up the car. We paid for an Uber to get us to the location. Upon arriving, there was one man working at the counter. He was informed that we had a reservation. Upon checking, he informed us that there are no cars available anymore. He proceeded to complain that the booking was done 30mins prior and that they have 60-80 pick ups and drop offs from yesterday and that day to work on. Another coworker of his came in during that time and they both complained about their day/work on a Sunday. When asked if there is any other Enterprise location that has an available car to rent. We were brushed off to figure it out for ourselves because he needs to help another customer that came in. There was just one customer after us. So we just went outside to figure out our next best option, which is renting from a different company. Our jobs require us to provide customer service as well, I get the stress that a job gives a person. But don't be so obvious about it though. Try to learn how to manage it especially if you're right infront of a customer. It is so off-putting. At the end of the day, as an employee of the company you signed up to do the job. For Enterprise, I think the current reservation system needs to be looked into. The reservation service through the phone or online needs to match with the actual location. In situations like these, it just causes unnecessary stress and is just a waste of our time.

I arrived on Monday, August 11, 2025 to pick up my rental at 7:45 a.m., which was 15 minutes after they open to see an employee and three customers waiting outside for the manager to arrive with the keys, as he was running late for work. This completely threw off my work day, as my day starts at 6 am and I left work to pick up the rental with hopes of returning to work within 30 minutes. I knew immediately that wasn't going to happen. If waiting for the late employee wasn't enough, I then had to wait for the young lady to take the subaru to the back for cleaning, as it was just returned. While I was waiting, the gentleman that was running late informed me there was another option so that I wouldn't have to wait any longer. At that point I didn't care that it was a jeep and that it was on empty, as I needed to return to work as soon as possible. I immediately put gas in the empty vehicle, and when I made it to the highway, numerous warning lights came on regarding the ABS features, crash control features were disabled, an image of the vehicle crashing kept appearing on the screen, the tires were low on air and all the fluid levels were low. I had to stop again to put air in the tires and numerous servicing lights kept popping up, but I only needed the rental for a few days so I didn't make a big fuss of these things. When I was informed that I would be in the rental longer than expected, I called to exchange the vehicle and explained all the issues I was having, but the person I spoke with seemed bothered that I was calling and informed me that I couldn't exchange the vehicle unless I could make it to Plano before 5. It was 4:30 and I was coming from Garland so that wasn't going to happen. I asked if I could exchange the vehicle on Saturday, but was informed that they were closed on Saturday, therefore, I stayed in the rental and dealt with the numerous annoying service issues constantly appearing on the screen until I returned the rental on August 22nd. I will NEVER rent from this location again.
