I went in on a Saturday, probably their busiest day. Despite their parking lot being full of cars, I did not wait long. I was in and out in 20 minutes. They had every bay full with a car and got us all in and out quickly. The price was better than the dealership, the waiting area clean, and the staff very quick and professional. The guy that I usually want working on my cars named Preston is no longer there unfortunately, he was a good guy always did the right thing and got us in n out..I went there to have my oil, air filter, windshield wipers replaced and the gentleman that was servicing the car said I needed to flush out the engine lol really? Are you kidding me? Write a review...how about you people watch with the Mechanics do to your vehicle instead of drinking the free coffee and watching TV! This is the second time I caught the same pit Mechanic NOT change my oil filter on the truck and charge me for a full service! You have to drop a skid plate on my vehicle to access the oil filter and if you do not, there is no way it can come out. It's very sad that they do this, probably to many others also. I never complain about a business but I am taking the time to let everyone else know the poor and deceptive service that this business operates. I have a very hectic schedule so I have to make time to get the oil changed when I don't have time. I have been there several times over the years. Long story short: 1.Paid for synthetic oil change ($90+ charge) --- got an inferior motor oil Mobil 5000 which is a conventional oil when I specifically asked for Mobil1. This oil is less than half the cost of synthetic 2. They used one of the cheapest filters I have ever seen.. Should be a better filter when paying $90+ for an oil change 3. I changed the oil myself today and found the ring from the oil quart in my oil fill. So that could have gotten into the engine and caused a complete breakdown. That is sloppy work, and I an extremely upset over this. STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE I will never go back there and I hope you all are wise enough to do the same. Came here for a quick oil change as it is close to my home only to realize 3 weeks later my car driving ruff and what do you know my oil light is on. Stoped at a gas station late at night and my car needed 2 quarts of oil . My engine could have ceased needless to say they never changed my oil . I will be calling the better buisness buoro tomorrow. I usually do my own oil changes being that i work in the auto industry so not having the time i decided to go to this place to have it done' so they got my truck in within 5 mins so not trusting places like this anyway i was observing them through the window so i was curious to see 3 mechanics under my truck when it only takes 1 to do an oil change so after a few mins 1 of the mechanics called me into the work area to show me the dipstick from my transmission and the oil on it looked very dark in color like it was burnt so seeing that i check my fluids regularly i knew it was a scam and they had dipped it in some old oil so i told him dont worry about it i would take care of it so after i paid and drove home i checked my transmission fluid and like i expected it was clean and nothing like what i saw at the shop so my advice to you is steer clear of these crooks at all cost. read more

Do not take your car here. I went there yesterday for a quick oil change. Their mechanic Moussa Kebe or something like that says your fluid is low for the ac. So I agree to it since it's my wife's car and want to have everything OK with it. An hour later I'm blowing completely hot air, and this guy tells me there is something wrong with your compressor and I need to take it to someone else to get it fixed. ARE YOU KIDDING ME? When I ask to speak to the owner he says we don't know who that is and they never speak to him. I ask for a manager and he tells we don't have one. As this is happening, another customer comes is screaming how his car just cut off 3 blocks away because the oil change he jut got is leaking all over Hempstead tpke. read more

I wouldn't recommend my freinds and family to go here for anything. The first issue I had was that when I first walked in and asked how much for an oil change they told me 29.99 or 32 with tax.. i was fine with that. When checkout came i was told because of my car (honda accord) they used different oil and the final price was 38$. I was exteremly upset that they didnt tell me this before the work was done. Not right. Second issue i had was they asked if they could check my air filter.. i was curious and said ok.. when i went home i just double checked, I noticed they broke the brackets that secure my air filter in place!! Once again i went back and after speaking to mechanic and manager i was told it was like that. Meanwhile they should have told me before working on it!!! Horrible experience i must say! Never going back and this is my only way to let others know so I had to share this. I dont like rip off mechanics and i hope these guys move or get new management because their business practice is horrible read more

most of these auto spots make you wait a while. the dealer takes half the day. not avis. i was in and out in less than 30 mins. they had all the bays full and still pulled me in and immediately drained the oil. very satisfied with my service. waiting area is clean and comfortable as well. generally you are advised to wait inside but if you stand by your car they dont say anything, very nice staff read more

I used to go to this avis lube with my old car until they damaged my radiator while doing a coolant flush and then wouldn't repair it correctly I wound up having to change the radiator to stop the leak from the drain cock that they cross threaded From what i was told the place has experienced a management change so I thought i would give them another try since i only live a few blocks from them I went in for a basic oil and filter change $34.95 (new price because of the raise in oil costs) They asked me if i wanted the basic oil or i wanted to upgrade to a more expensive oil. I said the basic oil as i change my oil and filter every 3000 miles. When they were finished they handed me an invoice for $50.53. I asked how does a $34.95 oil change come to $50.54. They told me that my car took 5.5 quarts of oil not the 5.0 quarts that the service is priced at and also that the oil filter that is used in my car is a MORE expensive filter than the one that is included. BUT to offset the increase in cost he will throw in a FREE car wash. Well the Free car wash is INCLUDED with EVERY OIL CHANGE Well i guess he thought i was stupid. Took my mint condition vehicle here for a simple oil and oil filter change. They told me it was $34.99. If I wanted bottled oil it would be $54.99. Then he suggested synthetic oil for my car that has 79,000 original miles and it is a 13 year old vehicle that gets it's oil changed every 2500 miles. I went for the $34.99 deal. Half way through, a predictable, he called me over to my vehicle and told me I needed new wipers and that they are streaking. That was a bold faced lie, I just had my blades changed last week by my regular guy who is reliable but closed this week. I told the manager that I understand you have to sell products but I am not a stupid old lady and I had just changed my blades. At this point, his machismo kicked in and he ordered me back into the lounge. For that moment he felt like big man in a position of authority.If I had said I wanted new blades, new air filter, etc, etc, he would have let me stand where I was.He was nasty because he knew I was not being suckered. I am a police officer .and I have handled several disputes at these establishments, and the overwhelming amount of times the customer was right. And educated customer is there biggest fear .When my car cools down I will check the dipstick level and make sure the oil is new and the filter is secure. I may get my oil changed next week again when my regular guy returns from vacation just to be sure. NEVER EVER AGAIN. read more
