Love my Avis Lube in Elmont, NY. Best service I've ever had the staff is always completely honest with me regardless of me being a female. I appreciate their professionalism, efficiency and affordable costs. I traveled from Brooklyn today just to come to this location. The key is to definitely come as close to opening hour as possible so they can get you in and out to enjoy the rest of your day. M.K is awesome he did my inspection in under 20 mins!

Have been taking all decade old cars here. truly value their opinion. several weeks ago needed inspection, mechanic stopped me and said my car will fail for exhaust reasons, then proceeded to aid me in finding locations to get that handled. grateful. several months ago, brake mechanic , (Artist) brought my Civic back to life. great price as well for a big job. I've been coming here regularly for oil changes and inspections for the past couple of years and have no major complaints. The place is (relatively) clean. The employees are always helpful and professional. Oil changes take about 15-20 minutes and there's seldom a wait for service. I pay $29.99 for an oil change (I have an SUV), and inspections are $37 pass or fail. I like that they're open on Sundays. read more

What a joke!!! Did an oil change, and when I asked them to rotate the tires, the guy said "they should be rotated every 25,000 miles" I asked him 3 more times and he refused. The sad part is I've been going to them for years and not any more. There have been other instances that I tried to over look, giving them the benefit of the doubt but no more. read more

I didn't like the way I was treated I completely understand that they are tired and want to go home as so do I! but it gives him no right to be mistreating me and discriminating me. Saying I have no money and why would I go to a place without money I had money the whole time I just wanted my mother to pay for HER car. And it's crazy because the payment declined 4 times and it was under debit and the last time he tried was on credit and went right away, mind you the person who was working there also told him that the payment would go through with credit and he was defensive about it, while discriminating me. I've been going there for oil changes and inspections this whole time I don't get why I was treated like this. I'll be writing a report because this is very unacceptable! read more

Now that he has expanded h his business to Franklin Square...seems like customer service has gone down the toilet. I had an unfortunate encounter with him where he lied about calling me to approve services to my vehicle that I did not approve. I just wanted my brakes and rotors changed and that was confirmed when I dropped off the vehicle...only to be forced to pay for an extra tire rotation ($50 -while tires were already taken off already for brake job!) and coolant top off ($20) that was not pre approved (I had the tires already rotated that same morning at the dealership with an oil change!!). I understand that miscommunications can happen, but don't lie and tell me you called me to approve the extra services!! I have no tolerance for dishonesty!! PLEASE AVOID THIS SHOP AT ALL COSTS!!!

About an hour and a half later, I got a call that my car was ready. Pretty standard timing, and the customer service was great! Also, they have a built-in candy shop! It's a lot of fun to browse all the different treats. They even have a birthday program and free popcorn. Just don't try to pay with the gold coins like I did!

They are outsourcing the work and not even remotely worrying about the quality of the finished product. Their solution to a bad finish is "we can take em back and redo them". Nah fam - my time is way too valuable to be messing with you guys and this redo stuff. This review is based on few things: + they are going to tell you they can turn them around in 1 day... it's a scam to make you think they are going to be of high quality. + the first time they turned them around I noticed lots of running paint that was dried up. + they claim that nobody powdercoats the outer barrel of the wheel yet they advertise wheels that are fully powder coated inside and out. They literally gave me back two tone gradient wheels and didn't bat an eyelash -- the audacity + on the redo I gave them ample time to make sure they provided me with a high quality job only to receive a job worst than the first job. + $150.00 to repair rashed/bent wheel + powdercoat seemed pricey.... For the quality of work, I'd pay $50/wheel -- I'm being generous with that number. These wheels make me want to vomit + take a look at the images I posted so you can get a good idea of the amount of blemishes on these newly refinished (x2) wheels. $653.02 after tax for this job. I'd rather pay a fifth grader this money to give me a splatter job with house paint lol. I'm laughing straight to the bank with this one... can anyone say CHARGEBACKKK?!?! First they should have visually inspected those before even failing me. I told them that and shrugged their shoulders. Then charged me while taking my current sticker and throwing it away. Then they didn't give me an extension sticker which allows me 10 days to get that fixed and reinspected all of which are clearly stated on the nys dmv website as how to inspect. Both the manager and the inspector said they never even heard of any type of sticker. They wasted 3 hours of my time. My wife, who takes her car to another jiffy lube location, had the exact same issue with a completely opposite experience. They gave her an extension, allowed her time to get her tires changed and were immensely helpful to her. Extremely poor customer service throughout this location. Avoid this spot at all costs. They don't care about you or your time.

When I asked the manager for an ETA, she snapped that we had already talked--then proceeded to pull my car out of the bay and refused to perform the inspection. Wasted half my day for nothing. If you care about your time or being treated with basic respect, go anywhere else.

Hasib had ordered the wrong front tires for my car, which caused several dashboard errors. He had me come to Rice's Automotive (new shop he is now at) to resolve issues from my inspection. Hasib realized and admitted he had ordered front tires that are the wrong size for my car but he blames the mechanic (Ernie) for installing those wrong tires and he says it's Ernie's fault. He sent me to Hempstead Discount Tire (where Ernie is now at) and that Ernie will take care of the situation and fix it. I went there and Ernie said it's not his fault and it's Hasib's fault and that he (Ernie) will not be fixing the tires. Hasib said he feels bad and he will have his mechanic (Cruz) fix this situation Instead of providing the new tires I was owed and paid for, Cruz installed old, used tires from 2023. The proof was undeniable: one tire had a visible, pre-existing patch on it. This same patched tire went completely flat hours after I drove home I called Cruz immediately and he said to bring the car back and he'll take care of it. At this point, my trust was completely broken. A shop that passes off old, defective parts as a legitimate 'fix' is not a shop that operates with integrity and an excellent standard of service and I refused to waste any more time in receiving a bare minimum standard of service Their solution was minimal and dishonest I would not recommend this shop to anyone

They took the car at 11 and by 1:30 they called us letting me know the car was ready for pickup. I was actually not expecting the car to be ready so soon. I actually expected it to be ready at l the end of the day. Tony is always helpful and accommodating and Greg always does a great job at making sure that your car goes straight.

Had a great experience on this Avis Lube! I needed a simple service in my car - a new inspection but everywhere I went they asked to drop off the car and come back in a few hours. I stopped by this Avis Lube and explained to the mechanic I couldn't drop off my car and if there was anyway he could take me as soon as possible. The mechanic was very understanding and asked another customer if I could go ahead of him. The customer agreed to the mechanics request. When I sat down to wait, that customer said he loved the service there and has been coming there a long time. It must of taken less than 15 mins and I was set and ready to go. I had a fantastic experience at Avis Lube! I came in for a routine oil change, and everything from start to finish was smooth and professional. I have been a loyal customer of Avis Lube for the past ten years since moving back to New York. Back then I had an older Isuzu Rodeo and they helped me take excellent care of her so a few years later when I purchased my now seven year old Hyundai Elantra I knew exactly where to go for all my oil changes and anything that ever needed fixing. Freddy and the crew at Avis have always treated me with respect and if they ever said my car needed anything fixed they showed me exactly the reason why it did! I've been coming here a long time as I grew up nearby but moved away. I still come back here. I trust them with all my cars. The head mechanic Moussa very smart. The owner is usually in also and extremely helpful. They only recommend the services you need. I just did my brakes and inspection here and they finished both services in a little over an hour. My dealer would have taken all day, and the big places like Midas always charge more and recommend services. Overall highly recommend this place if you want fast professional honest service. read more

I had my oil change done here and it went smoothly. I have a BMW X5M which is out of warranty so Bmw won't cover oil changes anymore. It needs special oil and a filter and they were able to get it and do the service. I came back for my inspection and it turned out i needed brakes. They were able to get the parts and complete the job for half the price the dealership was asking. I recommend this place. Friendly staff. They can get busy sometimes so be patient with the technicians. read more

I made a reservation and prepaid online since May 3rd with Reservation: 30032090US4. They had canceled my reservation at the pickup location due to not having a credit card for deposit. They were supposed to reimburse me for the money I paid online to make the reservation. Still today, I am waiting for my refund I called and called, emailed and emailed.
