It was late and most places I called were either closed or closing so they couldn't take me. I came across Everything Auto but was a little skeptical since they had no reviews. I still gave it a try cause It was the closest place to me and I was honestly desperate. I get there and I'm so glad I decided to go! I was greeted right away and Josh said he will help me even tho I knew they were closing. I was so grateful and surprised at how fast they fixed my car. Turns out they didn't have any reviews yet because they just opened this location a few weeks ago (talk about not judging a book by its cover lol) and their other location had like tons of 5 star reviews. DISHONEST SHOP!! I have brought my car to Josh (owner) back when he was working out of a backyard garage on Merrick. It was a honest shop back then. Now that he has expanded h his business to Franklin Square...seems like customer service has gone down the toilet. He is not on site anymore and won't speak to customers even if there is a disagreement. There is a young guy behind the desk that seems to be running things now. I had an unfortunate encounter with him where he lied about calling me to approve services to my vehicle that I did not approve. I just wanted my brakes and rotors changed and that was confirmed when I dropped off the vehicle...only to be forced to pay for an extra tire rotation ($50 -while tires were already taken off already for brake job!) and coolant top off ($20) that was not pre approved (I had the tires already rotated that same morning at the dealership with an oil change!!). I understand that miscommunications can happen, but don't lie and tell me you called me to approve the extra services!! I have no tolerance for dishonesty!! I have a 2017 Ford Edge and I searched out Everything Auto again after I got a flashing parking brake warning light and incessant beeping while driving. I made an appointment for a diagnosis. I thought it would be something terrible (read: expensive) like the sensors, electrical harness, ABS, you name it. But it turns out it was a failing battery that was the culprit. I didn't want to believe it because it seemed such an easy fix. But Anthony at Everything Auto did an actual diagnosis and inspection and didn't just want to throw parts at the car. I woke up on my day off and realized it was time for my girl, Olivia(2019 Forester) to get an oil change. These guys are rated high for a reason. Call me 5168004223 they prolonged a job about my clutch problem I only have and if I want the job done I would have to pay upfront when they haven't done the job right to point where they still need more money to keep going but it's really not a long job and the job doesn't take from March 26 to around July for the job to be done, they will scam you and they are very very unprofessional. I'll explain all in detail if you call me please and if anything...help me get my car back with a lien hold for more then 13k and for the upfront cost already made for $1600 and they wanted to more then 5k to start a job again and wanted to argue over if other things can't be fixed then they leave it and prolonged it...see I wanted simply turn signals and brakes and tires and a new radiator and I have the money for that but not for a crankshaft to be replaced if they can't reach a certain point of repair, in which I know a crankshaft doesn't cost over 5k to be done..a crankshaft of mine is $680ish should be easy because I know what's been done and discrimination, after I tried to test it josh didnt even trust me enough to check my my own car on the front pavement, Josh didn't even want to me test the car out or check it out...I'm an engineer of automotive technology and diesel works with 6 other lifts open and non selling cars in front of the shop, when I simply at first want my clutch to work properly and clearly from March is way to long they don't know what they are doing and will take no for an answer and thinking they are losing money which they are not, basically poor working conditions and bad communication and threats to junk my car if I don't pay up. I want to thank the owner and his assistant in making this the most smoothest and stress-free process that I have ever had. My brakes and rotors were in bad shape. The rotors apprentlt required resurfacing, the pads were almost worn, and causing a high pitched squeeling noise when I braked at low speeds . Infiniti wanted to charge me an arm and a leg to replace the rotors and pads. I said no to that and did my research and went with aftermarket parts. I found a compatible performance rotor and brake pad kit from PowerStop. I requested a quote from Josh and he provided me with a very reasonable price and one which I could not refuse. Josh took his time and demonstrated his care and precision in installing the new parts I had ordered. My new rotors and brake pads are harmoniously working as they should! - no squeeling, low brake dust, and on top of that better performance! After my experience at Everything Auto, I refuse to go anywhere else! I inquired about fluid changes and they do it all! Came here about a month ago for an easy job, rear brakes and rotors needed to be replaced. Called and brought my car in and had it back in a few hours. Long story short they put my brake pads in backwards and didn't realize or try to fix it and blamed it on other things. In the 10 minutes it took to drive home, I heard clunking that I had never heard before. Took my car back and asked them to look at it. The mechanic told me he heard the noise when they got the car. He put my car on the lift, shook around my exhaust pipe and told me it was the exhaust making that noise and that I needed a new exhaust pipe. (This didn't sound right). I contacted several shops to change front rotors and pads on our fiat 500 and got a wide range of prices for outrageous to reasonable... needless to say Everything Auto NY was in the latter and I was initially pleased by my interaction via Yelp's messaging as Josh Y. has always been helpful, flexible and very responsive. Due to a family emergency I couldn't take care of it right away but 2 months had passed since I had last contacted Josh and he made me feel as if not time had passed, honoring the estimate I had been given 2 months earlier, being available and accommodating. I came in early in the morning and after a short wait I got the 500 on the lift where was put in the capable hands of the understanding Cisco (as I was buzzing around the car taking pictures to post here so... thank you for the patience Cisco! ). In a short time I had my new rotors and pads on the 500 ready to go! I also had to change the windshield fluid reservoir and that was done quickly as well. Unfortunately I had to go back next day because the water pump had a broken spout and needed replacement, but thankfully Josh's wife (Ashley? my advance apologies if I remember your name incorrectly!) was extremely helpful as she got on the computer right away and found me an affordably priced replacement that could be delivered to the shop next day. She even gave me a precise estimate about when it would be available at the shop ready to install so I would know the best timeframe to get there (since i don't live close by) and optimize my schedule accordingly. Splendid! Next day I got to the shop and in a few minutes Super Cisco had the pump installed working his wizardry as he didn't even need to remove any parts to get to it and attach the pump! I was very positively impressed by the entire team at Everything Auto because from the moment I contacted Josh via chat to the moment I left the shop after service, I felt at ease (something that can't be said of many establishments I've used in the past and one of the reasons that kept me searching). I will certainly return here myself in the future anytime I'd need to do so and I will actively recommend Everything Auto to anyone I know not only because I truly believe they are professionals who work honestly and do so also to earn the respect and trust of their customers both old and new, but also because I would like my friends and co-workers to experience the same "at ease" feeling which isn't usually something that we'd associate with bringing our car to a mechanic. So I have been driving around with a broken bushing on both of my stabilizer link on my E350 and after picking up the parts from the dealer I needed someone who would be able to replace them. Every place I called was either busy or can't do it until Monday or during the week. So after searching I ended up calling Everything Auto and spoke to a gentleman named Josh. Told him I was going to drive into NJ and hearing the noise was just too bothersome. He said come by and I'll pull your car in as soon as he was done with a customer. I went in and let's just say he checked it thoroughly and even showed me the worn out bushing and torn boot. He installed it in about an hour and the car runs without anymore clunky noise. Brought my car here in June because my check engine light was on- due to the catalytic converter and a nox sensor. Found them here on yelp, and messaged them in regards to a quote on the problem, which he gave me an estimate and said he can get it taken care of with no problem. I leave my car with them and he calls me in regards to the parts and the work etc, very detailed. Come to find out when he finished he was charging me a lot more than what we originally discussed. But as long as the problem was fixed i was fine with it. The next day, after driving about 10 miles or so, my check engine light comes BACK on. Which I call and let them know. They tell me to bring it back in to take a look at it. They hard set the light to go back off. Said just drive around and it should stay off. I did, and within 5 miles it came back on. Called again and they said then they have to take care of the the nox sensor, that they only took care of the catalytic convert ... Now that a mechanic I know and trust looked at my car and the job they did, and said that the work is the reason my light stays on. read more

The quality of his work is meticulous and he explained what needed to be done when you pick up the car. I'll take my car to Mavis down the road to get an oil change or a tire rotation, but for scheduled tune-ups or mechanical issues, Josh is the only person I trust my car with. First thing about this place when I went, felt comfortable and chill. No one and I mean no one had that intimidating attitude that you would come across in a mechanic shop. Met with josh the owner asked about what I wanted, needed my spark plugs and coils changed as I brought the materials just needed the installation. Best auto shop I've been to. The owner Josh is extremely respectful. He listens to your needs and exercises good judgement when things go awry. I brought my car in to have some gauges installed and mounted. Despite all the troubles Josh encountered he did not take the easy way out. He truly takes pride in his work and would rather work longer hours than do a shoddy job. He texted me updates during the project and walked me through his work after. He even checked everything else on my car, including my cabin filters and oil filters. Even with all the additional work, his quote was an unbelievable bargain. He fixed my car horn on my 2008 Chevy Aveo which I'm quite happy about. On a separate issue, he told me I need to replace the catalytic converter which the part alone would cost $1600, plus labor, i declined moving forward on that, but still paid the $160 diagnostic fee. There has got to be a more affordable catalytic converter that will agree with the cars computer and meet NY emissions standards. Car is not really worth that much anymore. read more

These guys are amazing. I needed my rear brakes and rotors replaced so I took my car to mavis (that's who fixed my front brakes). Turns out I have electric calipers and it needs a special tool that the location I went to didn't have. They sent me to another location and that location quoted me a price that was way more than I expected. I searched yelp and found this place. They had the special tool for my electric calipers and charged $50 less than what mavis quoted me. They were completely transparent and kept me informed every step of the way. 2008 jeep grand cherokee had some starting issues that another place just said "they've never seen that before" and referred me to a jeep dealership. I found an exhaust leak in my muffler, assumed this was the case and brought it here based on the good reviews. Let's back up a bit... I called to make an appointment and was delighted to have been answered by ashley who was warm, and friendly, and did seem to have some mechanical knowledge herself when I explained my problem (no I'm not trying to be sexist about it...) so I made my appointment right there based off that. An earlier call to another shop, the dude just seemed like an ass over the phone -quick to get rid of me as I was explaining the issue. The place is located just behind another store it seemed. Access to the shop is through a driveway I found out after calling Ashley who told me where to go. After getting in, I met josh who looked over the car as it was running, saw the exhaust leak and immediately began explaining ways we could fix the issue. Dude knows what he's talking about, very friendly, and was able to answer all my questions. We started it up again, and the turnover issue prevented it to turn over. Tried again and it worked. Brought the jeep into the 1 car garage and out popped Francisco "Cisco" who was also very friendly and inviting - asked if that was my jeep just now trying to start -yes. I mentioned that THAT was the very reason I visited them and I wanted to fix that (unsure if the exhaust leak caused it.) Much to my surprise both of them were confident that the exhaust leak was NOT the issue as they proceeded to DIAGNOSE my jeep stating they love challenging issues. Now, anyone whose worked with mechanics, know that some of these guys HATE "working for free" to diagnose what's going on instead of replacing everything and doing random jobs etc... not this group. Josh and Cisco were great, even explaining to me what wasn't the problem and why. "Spark, air, and fuel" is needed to fire the engine they mentioned... they hooked a computer up to it and proceeded to diagnose. They were nice enough to show me things that needed fixing/replacing and explained what they do etc..(I love learning, I'm not a mechanic, but will opt to do these jobs myself via videos/forums) going through different possibilities - turns out it was the spark plugs..... (a huge mess turned into a Very simple fix) it seemed too simple for the symptoms the jeep was giving and Cisco stated he's confident that this was my problem, him showing the plugs and josh and cisco explaining how they work and how mine were complete shit basically lol...(After seeing it I knew right away) they completed the job along with a few others. And I was good to go. Arriving at home, i wasnt given a receipt for the work done to which ashley gladley emailed me. I drove the jeep for a week and no issues. I'll most likely be coming back for some exhaust work in the future. And no, I'm not secretly a friend writing a fake review...this is a honest review.
