Stay away from these people. They will recommend work that is not urgent but won't explain why - probably hoping you don't know anything about cars. Their labor rates are high and they'll charge a lot of hours for simple work (like a pad change) - call around and find a better indie elsewhere unless you want to light your money on fire. Tyrolsport gets my recommendation and it's not too far away. read more

Been taking my and my family cars to the Motorcepts team for 10+ years and not once have i had a doubt or confusion about anywork being done. They take their time to explain why they recommend what the vehicle needs and make sure we understood everything before saying yes or no. 10/10 would recommend. read more

Best car shop i ever been! Motorcepts is a really great and classy car shop. I had a fantastic experience there! all the workers are professional, honest and friendly, they make sure to answer all possible question you could have. Prices are reasonable for the high quality of service they offer. Space is huge and I felt very comfortable leaving my car for repair, specially because Leo explained me what was wrong with my car and why it was making that awful noise. I ended up changing my brakes, and got AC filters replaced because of his excellent and honest advice and impeccable customer service. Definitely coming backing if I ever need again. I highly recommend! read more

I wanted to give a special THANK YOU to Leo. Last week, at my wits-end and my Bimmer in need of some TLC. I scanned goggle in search of a BMW repair shop. Thank God, one of the results was Motorcepts. At 11:30 am, I called the office and explained my situation; and was advised to come right in (explicitly informed no promises to fix the car today). Upon arrival, I went into the main office and was greeted by Leo. Who, honesty stated he was not sure if they could repair my car that day. But, would diagnosis the issue and move on from there. Well, GOD is good. Cause, after about 15 minutes, the matter was reviewed, diagnosed, a good price quoted, and the required time frame to complete the repair (Leo stated car would be ready by 4 pm). I was very happy. At around 12:15 pm, I headed over to Starbucks to relax, eat, and surf the internet. Around 3:45, i headed back to the shop. Upon arrival, Leo greeted me asking how was my time at Starbucks and advised the car was still in "surgery," but should be ready in a few. So, I sat down in their nice and cozy little waiting area. Soon after the other manager offered me coffee and tea :-) About 15 minutes later, Leo said "You're all set." Paid my bill and drove home a "happy camper." I would highly recommend this place to any Bimmer owner. The process was one of the least stressful experiences, I have ever had when dealing with a car repair shop. The place is organized, spotless, and friendly staffers. Motorcepts will be my new Bimmer go to place. Again, Leo, thank you. read more

I've used this place many times for my cars. They simply do just an amazing job. They are friendly, easy going, honest, and excellent all around. Their prices are much much better than any place for BMWs I've seen in the area. I will always use this place for my cars!!!! read more

Freddy and Leo are pure GOLD, this isn't just their business, but their passion. Ever since my first visit, I refuse to take my vehicle anywhere else. Not only do they treat your car like their very own, they treat your pockets the same. They're always honest about the work that needs to be done, what can wait, or how a problem can be fixed another way. Even when it comes to parts, all brand new and they'll take their time to explain the difference in quality offered and let you decide. One time I had some damage done to my car, and after the insurance adjuster made a visit to the shop, he called me just to tell me how impressed he was with the shop and how knowledgeable Freddy was upon his visit "He really knows what he's doing over there." As a bonus, every time I get my car back from Motorcepts, it drives like butter, seriously like brand new. I used to take my car to BMW dealerships and it never felt like that when leaving. Not to mention, Motorcepts allows you to continue to purchase high end European vehicles with confidence and ease knowing they have your back. Thank you Freddy, Leo, and the whole Motorcepts family - You guys are truly THE BEST. read more

Been going here since 2013 and I've never had nothing but good services. Only place I go when I need something done. I recently had my twin turbos upgraded and they did a great job. In the processes if they see something else wrong they will call you and let you know as they should in case you want it to be taken care of. Some of these negative reviews are fake as hell with fake names and no photos. Don't be scared to go to this shop! You'll always see negative reviews for everything. Can't satisfy everyone! I'm sure some people didn't have a great experience but nothing crazy like these fake negative reviews. The rating and so much positive reviews tells it all! read more

I drive a 2006 BMW 760i. If any one reading this has any knowledge of bmw's you know that they require an immense amount of maintenance. All.The.Time. Well rest assured my bmw is in that category as well. But ever since I found Motorcepts im not worried about any Christmas tree lights on my dashboard. Seriously, these guys can fix anything!! Most recently I had 2 high pressure fuel pumps replaced, the entire fuel line leading into them as well as all 12 injectors and 12 spark plugs. Promise you all at a very reasonable price. Best spot to goto for BMW. Well everyone knows BMW dealer charges alot for even the simplest job. I tried saving money going to a different spot and they did a horrible job just changing my lights. There's a reason why people say for BMW's goto the dealer for problems. I realized even for the easiest thing other may think they know what they are doing but at the end will have to pay more to fix what they did. Also getting cheap work done means cheap parts. Well Motorcepts reallllllllly helped me and i felt i can actually trust them. They actually explain clearly what i need and do not try to rip me off. They fixed my lights because problem with oem and added hid fogs and got angel eyes. Some other extra services were given and all at a fair price. They also have a waiting room with playstation, massage chair, and beverages. Oh almost forgot to say i saw bmw wholesale truck twice making deliveries. Just check out this place if you own a BMW before going to a local shop getting your car messed up. Look for Fred or John. They both made me leave satisfied and will be going back in the future. read more

I've been coming to Fred and Leo via a recommendation from a friend for almost 4 years now. They've literally seen it all and then some and have gotten me out of more jams than I can count. Great prices, awesome service, dope modern lounge area with complementary beverages and a PS4 with wide screen TV while you're waiting for your car to be fixed up. I have a follow up to get my power steering pump replaced and can't wait to see them. Couldn't recommend them more. read more

These guys are phenomenal! Friendly and genuine expertise. The prices for parts and labor are almost unbelievable. Best rates in the city hands down. Leo and Fred love what they do and it shows in their demeanor; all the way through to the end results. Beverages, PS4, magazines and movies provided for while-you-wait service. Really, what it comes down to, is they care about your car as much as you do. I have been a loyal customer of theirs for over a year now and will always be for as long as I live in the boroughs! If I could give this business a negative star it would be to generous. My son drove his car into the shop to change a belt and was told he needed to all these test to see why it kept slipping. So after 1200.00 dollars to check it out he was then told by the manager he needed 4000.00 worth of work. For a belt??? Really!!! End result car does not start and needed to hire a tow truck to remove the from the premises so I would not be charged storing fees. Go anywhere but here. J.R. read more

I remember when I first came to the shop the way they took care of my vehicle and the transparency of the repairs was superb. They gave me so much confidence in my decision to work with them. Some mechanics have a reputation of being shady and overpriced, not once have I ever felt like that with them. Motorcept truly makes you feel like you're part of the family and that's why I always check my car with them. I would highly recommend anyone in the tri-state area. They are a true European specialists, I've worked with them on several occasions and I have never been disappointed. Bunch of fakes thinking that they know BMWs. I came with my e39 which is very simple not a lot of sensors and they couldn't diagnose a problem. So they start changing parts that their computer suggested. If you have a serious car and you value your time and money it's not the right shop read more

Installed my front bumper properly but when it came to the paint job, LOOKED great at first but then it went to crap. Absolutely no primer/bulldog at all and water was entrapped under the paint. A huge 1x3" section of paint just flaked off and it showed the bumpers plastic within a year. Not to mention that the mold that was put on the lip to the bumper was so thin it just cracked apart. HORRIBLE paint job. Spent close to $500 for garbage. Job was done almost two years ago but now I have to spend money yet again elsewhere to have it done right. read more

Motorcepts is the ONLY shop I trust with my BMW . I've been a patron of their business for about 4 years now. I have a 335i convertible that has modifications to almost every part of it, but no matter what the issue, the guys at motorcepts handle it with precision, speed, and love!! Example, I had a loose side splitter on my car, but it was held in by 2 sided tape, I didn't even mention it. When I got my car back it was mounted properly..I didn't even tell them! Everytime I leave them with my car I KNOW shes getting TLC like I did it myself... you'd be FOOLISH to have a German car and NOT go to motorcepts. You get what you pay for... you also get an experience. Thanks guys, she wouldn't run like that without you. - A. Davis read more

GO TO PLACE FOR GERMAN CARS! FRED and LEO are who you should go to for some outstanding knowledge in BMW/AUDI/MERCEDES. They also work well with other European, Asian and American carmakers but the Germans are their speciality. If I'm not wrong, they worked at some big authorized dealerships and know what they're talking about. I see some negative reviews about people who came in for changing their brakes etc. and were told about fixing their engine stuff etc. I mean so? The dealerships do the same. It's like if you go to a doctor for a cold and he informs you that you have cancer, would you not get it treated. Do your own research guys - these guys are good! Ask for an explanation and they will definitely break down and explain everything to you. All the workers there are friendly as well. I drop my car off and never have to worry that a radar or some parts would be missing, where my headphones, Ray Bans etc have gone missing at authorized dealerships. While you're there, don't forget their awesome MOTORCEPTS builds and cars! read more

Took my car here when I started hearing weird sounds. I don't know much about cars and was completely freaking out. It took the staff all of 23 minutes to diagnose the problem!! Leo sat with me and explained the problem and the course of repair. I was expecting a huge bill given their reputation and the looks of the facility. I was pleasantly surprised at the reasonable figure he gave me. Car drives great! I appreciate them sitting with me and making sure I understand what's going on. I will definitely come back here even if means sitting in the Van Wyck traffic because this place is worth it! read more

There is one shop that I allow to work on my stock E46 M3. That shop is Motorcepts. They are a group of true enthusiasts that just "get it" and let their product speak for itself. On every visit you'll get a full report with their recommendations: what needs to be done ASAP, what's a short term thing, what is to be aware of for future visits. Fred, Leo, and David have done everything and I mean *everything* for me on this car (even fixing the terrible work that a dealer overcharged me for) with transparency, honesty, and a full explanation of why they recommend a certain service. Everything on this car from simple oil changes to full suspension replacement, cooling system work, multiple valve adjustments, BMW inspections (if you have an ///M you know the drill) alignments, module troubleshooting, and programming have been done exactly as promised, on time, and done to OEM specs. If you're hesitating or doubting the other 5 star reviews here, just stop. Bring in your BMW to Motorcepts - you will not be disappointed. read more

Leo is a stand up guy. He knows BMW like the back of his hand and is the most honest BMW mechanic I have ever had the pleasure to meet. He was also very reasonable in prices when I gave him my little project vehicle - e39 540. Trust me I shopped around quite a bit because of the extensive maintenance I wanted done. I even had a few mechanics do a small job just to test their mettle. Suffice to say I'm a very savvy car buff and motorcepts IS my shop!! I know all his customers are very loyal because I've spent time in the waiting area having convos with other enthusiasts where we discussed nightmare stories of "german" mechanics who either didn't know the model or were ripped off. I take my bmw 330 exlusively to Motorcepts to get any work done. Leo, the owner is extremely knowledgeable with cars, and the pricing he gives is extremely fair.
