Tyrolsport - Vw mk7.5 Golf R - Auto Repair Near Me - Ridgewood, New York

very honest and knowledgeable. I have used them twice and have ben very satisfied and am not concerned that I am being taken advantage of.

Clutch, rear main seal, throwout bearing, ss clutch lines, downpipe, and intercooler were installed on my Golf R 7.5 without issue. Very professional communication. Clean and tidy shop. Fair prices. This is my go-to shop for all car needs. Bit of a wait time to get an appointment but very much worth it. The job was done reasonably quickly. Would recommend to anyone. read more

Tyrolsport is the best. Period. Whatever superlatives I write will not do the degree of quality service and communications I received throughout the process enough compliments. They were great at analyzing and diagnosing the issue that my 2014 A5 was having, making the best recommendations and then executing the fix - on time and with a completely reasonable cost. 100% professional expertise available there. Cheers! read more

This shop is the cleanest and closest around me. Being that I have dealt with the owner Michael in the past ( installed my APR springs on a 2013 GLI) I decided to do an APR flash on my Audi A6. I scheduled a Saturday appointment, didn't have to wait at all. Car was pulled into the shop and the flash started. Work was completed in under 30 minutes, my wife didn't make it back in time with coffee and breakfast lol . The Audi A6 with the 3.0T engine is an absolute beast after the tune. I regret waiting so long as I've owned the car for over 4 years. Best Christmas gift a guy can ask for! Highly recommend the shop and the tune for this specific engine! read more

Tyrolsport - APR stage 1 tune being uploaded. - Auto Repair Near Me - Ridgewood, New York

I want to make a complain because the workers at this business are legally supposed to work from 8am-5pm. However, they stay after hours and work on the cars. They make a lot of noise and last weekend, a loud dark bmw was going off after 10pm. I have a video and photos and will make a call to 311 for noise complain. This is getting very annoying because I live near, right now i will record everything on camera. read more

I found tyrosport when I was looking to get some work done on my Tiguan and send some emails out to various shops and Mike responded to me. I went and spoke with him and he basically asked me what I wanted out of the car which was completely different than what I thought I wanted. With that being said he did an intercooler, downpipe, Golf R quad exhaust, Bilstein B6 shocks and struts, and an H&R Cup Kit. I absolutely love the work he does and how he explains to me what is better and what is useful as opposed to just taking a payment for something that I was thinking about getting. They will forever be the only hands that touch my Tiguan. If you have a European vehicle I highly suggest using them. read more

This review is long overdue! The guys at Tyrolsport are top notch, knowledgeable, informative, and all around good at their jobs. I went in looking for a spark plug and ignition coil change, APR Stage 2 dual pulley add on to my 2015 Audi S4 and it was done seamlessly in a day. They were attentive, gave me no run around, were easy to work with, and even offered a refund if I wasn't happy with the tune after 7 days. I've driven the car about a month now and could not be any happier with it. The responsiveness, overall power/torque gain is pretty incredible. I will definitely be back for whatever next upgrade or maintenance I do. Thank you Tyrolsport! Great job! read more

They're busy guys, and appointment might take a little time, but they're worth the wait. Took my 2015 VW Jetta to Tyrol and they diagnosed the problem, changed a blown sensor and did apr stage 1 the same day. All at a fair price. Andre and staff know their stuff and I will definitely be back for service and/or upgrades. read more

Tyrolsport is the best place you can bring your car to get it diagnosed and repaired. Ask for Mike because he knows his cars. Called him and he immediately knew what the issue was. Ended up fixing my car and also getting a tune. This place has it all! I will definitely go back to him again for my next fix! read more

Mike was incredibly kind to squeeze us in when our car was leaking oil on our trip into the city from Boston. He diagnosed the problem and came up with a quick fix solution which will get us home. Extremely knowledgeable, skilled and trustworthy. read more

These guys are top quality mechanics, honest people and straight shooters. I highly recommend them. Situation: I took my 2013 A6 to a Manhattan Mechanic who quoted me between 5-8k of repairs. I took the car then to Tyrolsport who did a compete inspection and honestly told me the car was in great shape and needed nothing! Their honesty saved me many thousands of dollars. I will be sure to come back and reward them for their honesty and encourage others to do so as well. read more

Has been a long time customer to Tyrol, they take care of my Audi S4, very honest people, they always tries to get to the bottom of the problem instead of telling you lies and trying to get more money out of you, very highly recommended. read more

Let me start by saying Mike, Andre, and the dedicated Tyrolsport team are all awesome. They are all so knowledgeable! I had a Stage 2 SACHs Racing clutch installed in my VW in preparation for a future install of the much-suggested Unitronic Stage 2 Flash along with a downpipe. Tyrolsport did an amazing job of installing my SACHs Racing Clutch and it goes so freaking well with the my Unitronic Stage 2 tune and downpipe. No more slipping. I definitely encourage anyone who has a Euro car to check out this shop, without a doubt you won't be disappointed. Big Thanks again Tyrolsport... read more

Came here for an oil change everything went well. Great service, this was my 2nd time coming here and they always does a great job.

Quick response time and even quicker service at the shop. Will be recommending to my family and friends.

This is the best shop in NYC for any German car repair or performance upgrade needs. I have come here for everything since finding out this place existed. The other people saying this place does it right once weren't lying. They treat your car as if it is their own and that's what makes them special. Best shop ever! read more

Great shop with some knowledgeable and down to earth people! Went to the shop for the first time today and I was lost on the block looking for the shop since there is no big signage (these guys are low key and non-pretentious) on the outside. As I drove past a second time, I got an incoming call from the shop. ANDRE came right outside to guide me into the shop. Great service and great guy. Immediately pulled in the car to get the APR tune and I was on my way in no time. While I was waiting for the car, also spoke to CHAN in the office who is a knowledgeable and nice guy. They also gave me a small discount, which is always welcome. Will definitely come back and refer people as well. read more

Came in with a VW Golf mark III with serious transmission problems I was quoted $1950 to repair at another shop. Mike diagnosed and fixed for $75, and spotted some potentially disastrous problems. We talked, and he got them done for very reasonable. For VW troubles, there is no one else I would trust.. read more

Very, very impressed for my one visit for Audi repair. Audi air suspension wonderful but notoriously prone to failure and very $$$ at dealer who's inclined I think to replace lots of parts, not just the immediate cause of failure. Going the "correct" dealer way may be worth it for some people. But since this isn't a safety issue I preferred to isolate the real cause and use Arnott (not Audi) parts - which have AT LEAST as good a reputation in this area. Bonus - they warned me coolant and oil were low. And I hadn't even asked them to check. Fair price, friendly prompt service. What else can you ask for? Thank you ! These guys know their stuff, and don't fix that ain't broke. Wish my doctors were this good. read more

There are many garages near me but I drive to Ridgewood, Queens from downtown Brooklyn because these guys are the best in German diesel. I babied my 2002 VW Golf in California with diesel specialists and when I moved to NY these are the only mechanics I would let touch it. Every time they have been friendly, honest, and professional, and they clearly treat every car that comes there way with attention and care. So glad to have found Tyrolsport. Thanks guys! read more

Woke up wanting more power in the s4, TyrolSport garage is filled with beautiful cars, mike and Andre tuned my S4 the sane day (made room for me), we discussed long term goals and still left with a step in that direction. There is no other shop I would go to or recommend for service (or service on modded Audi's) or installs then this place. Mike is the best, and his team is right there with him. read more

Mike, Andre and team are fantastic! I've had my car there twice already for performance related work. First a tune, then a downpipe and new flash. Ordering parts these days has been a struggle but Mike and team went above and beyond to not reschedule my appointment even despite a shipping logistics issue. As others have mentioned they do top notch work. Their transparency and honesty is unmatched. I asked if I needed new brakes and they were up front and told me I could wait awhile. Most shops would have jumped at the chance for the extra money. I'll be a loyal customer for years to come. read more

Brought my RS4 and had a carbon cleaning done. They know what they are doing and they are very professional. Highly recommend.

Amazing job sorting a cooling issue in an 996.1 Porsche and performed exhaust Fister mod. The car sounds incredible!!! Couldn't be happier with the service and transparency while working with Andre and Michael thru the job. Will highly recommend to any P/European car people even not directly in the area. Tyrolsport and their staff are amazing. Firstly, their in-house products. These guys make some of the nicest hardware around for my car (GTI Mk6), all of which are actually useful! Greg has helped me throughout some trouble I had with an order and even sent me a replacement free of charge. Their customer service is top notch to match their products. I can't wait to try out some of there other stuff. Five stars for these guys! read more

How do i start, these guys are the most honest mechanics i have ever meet. My Audi dealership wanted to charge me for breaks, when in fact, i did not need them at this time. So i took my Audi to TyrolSport and told me something i could not believe, I DIDNT NEED BREAKS YET. I want to thank TyrolSport for your honesty, you just got yourself a new loyal customer. read more

I highly recommend Mike and his team at Tyrol. They are extremely passionate about what they do and very honest. A few positive experiences I can share: -Several years ago, Audi told me I needed to replace my A6 battery. Called Mike and he said it didn't sound right as the battery was still young and under warranty. He was happy to take a look at it but suggested to just to wait and see how it performed over the winter. Of course I had no issues as the battery was totally fine. -Audi suggested rear brakes on my Q7. Mike and his team reviewed the car and said I still had 3 - 6 months left and there was no need to replace at this time. I asked him to move forward with the brake swap as they already had the car for the day. -Mike made a minor calculation error in the bill in my favor. I told him to rerun then bill as they are entitled to the their full bill. He refused and said we take pride in our quotes and that's the way that I run my shop. They made a lifetime customer today. I'm extremely happy to have these guys nearby. I look forward to patronizing them again when the time comes. Thanks again for your solid work! Steve read more
