    BAIT AND SWITCH, RUN. If the only problem with this shop was…read morethat they were a bunch of crooked bait-and-switchers when it came to their estimates, that would be more than enough to run from this CROOKED SHOP. For example, I was given an estimate of $1800 told me that would be for labor, and the part should be no more than a couple of hundred dollars. After they took my car, it disappeared for days, and I couldn't reach them to find out what was going on. They finally called me back the day I was supposed to pick it up, with a revised estimate now over $6000. It was the day they were supposed to return my car fixed. refused to call back for days before then. At that point, when I saw the bait and switch that they were pulling, I told them I would no longer talk to them on the telephone, that they now need to text me, and I want my car back. I'm coming to pick it up I will not pay $6000. I would put it towards a new car. They were told this from the beginning. When I went in there first, I left a $ 1,000 deposit so they would save a spot in their queue for my car to be worked on. They took the thousand dollars I didn't hear from them for almost a whole week. Zaki was one of the people that I dealt with, and when I initially came in and left a $1000 deposit, he told me up and down about how their work has a year warranty, a year warranty, a year warranty. He said it over and over and over again. During the three days, we went back and forth in a text thread, which I have documented. They kept trying to push me to pay $6000. I refused. I told him to give me my car back they knew going in. I would never spend more than $3000, and that would be even too much for an old car. It reached the point where they were ignoring me and refusing to return my car, so I threatened to call the police to report it as stolen by them. Now they came back with an estimate of just under $ 3,000 to finish the job, I agreed. Went in to pick up the car a week late and paid the balance. I didn't sign anything. I got a copy of the bill. I left. As soon as I stopped, turned off the car, and went into a store, I came back out- my car was dead. I opened the hood and discovered that many of my plastic parts were broken, ripped off, rather than unscrewed. They lost the bolt to my battery, so they never replaced it and just left the battery connection sitting there, so it didn't stay connected. That's why my car wouldn't start once turned off. Also, not even three weeks later, the engine light came on, and the transmission is once again giving me the same problem and the same codes; they never changed the sensors I asked them to change in the car. Which was the first thing I asked to be done. They were interested in running up a big bill. The transmission that they supposedly fixed was never smooth from the day I picked up the car. It clunked into first gear, which, even when I had problems the first time, it didn't really do. When I called him with these problems, they never called back. They ignored all my phone calls ever since picking up the car to the point that I had to call Amoco corporate. The corporate office is a waste of your time because of the retail shop refuses to cover their warranty. because he's claiming he told me there was no warranty on the work, since it wasn't the $6000 original bait-and-switch job they initially tried to force on me. All Amoco corporate did was slow down the process, so I now have to sue him in small claims court to get my money back. Because Zaki OF LYNBROOK will not refund their bad work, and AAMCO corporate won't do anything to honor the warranty. The only thing that calling corporate does is let them know that their retailer is a crook, which I believe they already knew. They let him lie to them on the phone, and he didn't even have the paperwork to back up his own lies. They knew that, and I knew that, and they still made us wait for weeks while he tried to find things that did not exist. Everything that happens to that retailer for being a CROOK is internal, nothing to do with the client who lost $. Save yourself three months and just go to court. This review is my final step after already filing a small claims case- my first ever. I had a vintage car and I brought it in here for a transmission, and they ripped apart the parts the way they did my car, and damaged the inside pieces of my car the way they did (I can see just so far what's broken on the surface. There is something rocking in the engine block of the car. I'm sure they forgot a few more screws along the way). The people who work in the shop are dishonest. They will say anything to get you to leave your car. He lied to his own corporate people, telling them that paperwork existed. When we all know it didn't exist. He tried to claim he told me verbally after he couldn't find the paperwork showing the warranty no longer covered it, now that it was a $3000 job. Thank God for text messages. NOTICE: almost all 5-star reviews seem fake.

I called Mercedes to see if they do body work and they recommended me to a collision place "they use". After reading their reviews, I knew I was NOT going there. I did a search and found a Touch of Class Collision. I called, and the staff was friendly attentive and caring. The young man who drove me to the rental place was so friendly and professional as well. Yesterday, 4 February, I finally picked up my car. It took a while but that was because the other insurance company took their time to get adjusters etc. When I got there, Gabe came out to greet me, they pulled my Alpine white, 300C up and I was floored. It looked like a brand new car, like it had come out of the showroom. Gabe explained the work they did and that the impact was much more that it showed superficially. The inside was spotless, the trunk, glove compartment everything was just spotless and so clean. This morning my dad went to charge the battery and he said even the engine is spotless and so clean. The body is shiny and brand new looking and they also left a tube of paint just in case:). I highly recommend A Touch of Class Collision. Gabe is super and the staff is amazing.     DISHONEST SHOP!! I…read morehave brought my car to Josh (owner) back when he was working out of a backyard garage on Merrick. It was a honest shop back then. Now that he has expanded h his business to Franklin Square...seems like customer service has gone down the toilet. He is not on site anymore and won't speak to customers even if there is a disagreement. There is a young guy behind the desk that seems to be running things now. I had an unfortunate encounter with him where he lied about calling me to approve services to my vehicle that I did not approve. I just wanted my brakes and rotors changed and that was confirmed when I dropped off the vehicle...only to be forced to pay for an extra tire rotation ($50 -while tires were already taken off already for brake job!) and coolant top off ($20) that was not pre approved (I had the tires already rotated that same morning at the dealership with an oil change!!). I understand that miscommunications can happen, but don't lie and tell me you called me to approve the extra services!! I have no tolerance for dishonesty!! PLEASE AVOID THIS SHOP AT ALL COSTS!!!
