Been coming here for several years. Love their service..between just a simple oil change to tire changes. And heat change, light change, Wheel rotator ( dunno the term, but u get the idea), belt change, towing my car. And many more services. I love how honest they are too. One night while i was driving home from work i realized the light inside my car was dark. I wasn't able to see my speedometer. And it was pretty scary bc just my luck i got lost driving and wasn't able to see how fast/slow i was driving on the highway. Thankfully i made it home. Took my car in the next day, explained the situation and Tom was able to fix it w.o charging me a penny bc it was some switch that was accidentally switched. Now you see, i bet if it was any other mechanic shop they would keep your car, have you wait and then later on charge you for a couple of hours for their man hours. (I know this from experience) i took my car in to pep boys one time in Queens they kept my car overnight. And lets just say the next morning i wasnt a happy camper! They also send friendly reminders of when your next oil change is almost due. Spectacular service. Def recommend! Thank you guys. read more

I got a flat on the highway, and pulled off to the first station. The employees squeezed me in to help me fix my flat, despite having a full day of cars to service. I was a bit panicked, and they were so kind! They fixed my tire instead of putting on the donut. Couldn't recommend them more. read more

They are a little out of the way for me but I used them when I had car problems on the job. Tom was a pleasure to deal with. They got me in and out in one day. I am not giving five stars because I really don't know this place too well, but if they treat customers like they treated me, they are easily a five star repair shop. Anyone who thinks they've been mistreated by this station, raise your hand. Now, slap yourselves in the face with that hand. The service I have received at this station over the last 10+ years is unrivaled. The work is always completed in a timely manner, with both care and precision. The prices on parts and labor are fair, consistent and I have never felt as though the mechanics here were trying to push unwarranted repairs, or quick fixes that would not solve my problems. Since moving out of state, I have searched long and hard to find service stations that meet the standards of Turnpike Service. Unfortunately, I have been unable to find one. Typically, when in need of maintenance, I will schedule a trip back to Long Island, from Maryland, to have my care service here. One particular instance, where I was unable to get my car to this station, I called Andy, one of the owners, and sought his advice. Although he would receive no profit from helping me, he took time from his schedule to assist me and advise me on steps I should take, as I was unfamiliar with the transmission issues that plagued my vehicle, and helped me resolve me issues. Jericho Shell goes above and beyond, and I would strongly recommend them to anyone looking for a regular maintenance service station, or an honest mechanic that will take care of you to the utmost. read more

The employees here are wonderful! Time and time again I've come here with tire issues and they without fail help me. I was here just today and couldn't get the air pump to work. Jimmy saw I was struggling and came out to help me, even checking the inside door of the car to make sure the gauges would be set at the right pressure. Reliable and friendly. These guys are a rip off!! Charged me $15 to check for a leak in a tire. I asked y is he charging me he said well he took your rim of the car and put it back on. I was wondering why the shop was empty when I got there and now I know why BEWARE AND STAY AWAY!!! Ed H. Paid 20$ to plug a flat tire. Was a screw in between the treads. 15 min in and out. We'll see how long it lasts, guy said a year or so.

Being a female I am cautious of all auto repair shops for obvious reasons. I brought my Jeep to Jiffy Lube for an oil change and was told my jeep had an additional $200 worth of repairs needed ASAP. Needless to say I said no to all repairs, including the oil change and randomly ended up at Turnpike Service, and surprise surprise, there was nothing wrong with my jeep, just needed an oil change. The guys here are trustworthy, super nice, work quickly and accommodate their customers with rides to and from home/work if your car needs to be dropped off for the day. I have since gone back to them 3 times and the treatment/service is always good. read more

I would definitely recommend this service station. I used to dread having to bring my car into a Jiffy Lube or Pep Boys and worry about getting ripped off or them telling me all the extra things I "needed" to have done to my vehicle. When I brought my car to Turnpike, they were honest and helpful, and they gave me a fair price to get everything I actually needed done to my car. read more
