They're in my hometown of Mineola and I like to shop and purchase local. Along with the gasoline they have a small market which has many regular home staples. This is a good thing as sometimes I need to fill up and grab that container of milk too. The staff behind the register has always been friendly and easy to deal with. I am glad they took over the old, clearly needing an overhaul gas station. This place has definitely been a plus for Mineola.

The store is very bet and orderly, the employees are friendly and more importantly, the prices are reasonable. On my last visit, I bought a cup of French Vanilla coffee ($1.79 for an extra large cup), but it wasn't exactly the best, but it did come with a free bottle of water which came in hand later. Overall, clean, fairly priced store located in Kensington. After pumping your gas or just on the hunt for some snacks, this is your place, but stay away from the French Vanilla coffee.

I asked him, before getting too close. "Mask?" He asked me (it was clear that he did not speak very good English). "Yes, can you please put your mask on?" I asked again. Eventually, someone else in the store found a way to get him to understand. The employee put his mask on, and even said "sorry" to me. Then I walked up to the counter, made my purchase, and quickly left the store. I'll give this place two stars as opposed to one because the employee did eventually put his mask on when asked to, and even apologized afterwards. But considering he appears to normally walk a foot up to customers with the mask below his chin (the equivalent of wearing no mask at all) while indoors, I can't give this place any more than two stars.

Three days ago, when I stopped by to get gas, I scanned BJ's card and selected regular, but I noticed that the pump was charging me for premium gas. I tried to get the attendant(in his glass room) to help solve the problem or at least explain what was going on. He stared at me several times and then just turned his face away. I stopped pumping and went over to him to ask why I was being charged for premium instead of what I selected, and why there was no paper in the pump (as usual). He was extremely rude and adversarial, yelling from inside his booth that I should file a complaint with management. When I asked him--again--why the pumps NEVER have paper, he told me to look up the management's number and speak to them myself. He even refused to give me his name. I will not be giving them any more business. Even though the price is a bit lower, the operation and customer service are horrible.

Also, people who pay cash park at a pump, go to the attendant to give him money, walk back to the pump, gas up, then walk back to the attendant to get their change, the walk back to their car. It just the location and anything special about the particular location that changes. I love BJ's gas stations for so many reasons with the number 1 being the cost of gas. This is an incredible perk to the membership especially if you take advantage of buying the items that actually reduce the per gallon price even further. What I save in gasoline prices more than make up for the membership costs and... I get a great cash bank bonus along with BJ rewards. It's definitely a win-win to be a member. I made the mistake of shopping after I purchased gas and both items were part of their "reduction in gas prcice" selection. The stations are spacious with an easy access wherever they're located. The long hoses make it easy now matter which side you come from. There is always an attendant on duty so if you need help, someone is close by. Another nice perk is free air. A $1.25 is not a lot for an air machine but if your uses it a couple of times a month you save yourself another $30.00. My tires always seem the need to be refilled... KUDOs to BJs for their service to the public.
