They had a lot of fresh ingredients for their coffee. I chose to get just a standard latte so I was able to try the flavor of their espresso shots. I really enjoyed the ambience of avid coffee and the service was quick friendly into the point. I would recommend if you're looking for a coffee shop to try.

I don't go too often, but when I need a fix for really good cappuccino in Petaluma then I make my way to Avid Coffee downtown . The cappuccino is amazing. Super tasty and flavorful, and I love the art they do on top. It really hits the spot- a great cappuccino. Inside is very cosy, some tables on the outskirts as well as one long large table in the middle, and some seating options outside. It's kinda a hip looking coffee shop, in my opinion. It's welcoming and fun. Service is always friendly when I go. Next time I do want to grab a bag of their coffee beans to take home, and I definitely want to try some of their breakfast options. If you're in town looking for a good coffee and a really really really good cappuccino, then definitely make a stop here.

Went by here while touring downtown Petaluma. Got a large hot latte. It was made just right. I usually get mochas or macchiatos when I go out for coffee, but decided to give a latte at this place a try. Quick, good service. A little crowded inside, but that's because it's popular. Has outside seating as well. Will return here :-)

This sad slide of avacado toasts costs... that's right: $11!

Avid has good coffee, but I was shocked to see my sad slice of avacado toast cost a whopping $11. That's toast. With avacado. Some sprinkles. $11. At least put it on some fancy Della Fratoria bread or something. Sheesh...

Stumbled upon this place while looking for a place that serves light breakfast and good coffee. Glad to have found this. I ordered the latte with oat milk and egg sandwich. Coffee was strong which I prefer. The egg sandwich was simple and I loved the muffin that was used. Strawberry shortcake coffee, a seasonal drink, is what my husband ordered. Man that was good! It's iced with strawberry puree. We loved how the coffee was still the star and the strawberry highlighted it. Fresh whipped cream too. Definitely get it. Breakfast burrito was also good. Service was quick. Modern place. Parking is easy.

Worth the try: strawberry matcha latte, nitro dream Iced Strawberry Matcha Latte: the best strawberry matcha latte I've ever had--strawberry purée, matcha, oat milk. Simple, delicious, not too sweet. PARKING: Lots of free parking available outside. SERVICE: Servers were kind and quick to get us our drinks despite the long queue of people. ATMOSPHERE: Cozy coffee shop in Petuluma, ample indoor and outdoor seating. Stopped drinking my latte halfway through just so I could leave this review. I'm never one to get matcha drinks, but today was just one of those days. I've tried strawberry matcha lattes before, which typically have the layers showing and aren't mixed together. This one had the strawberry purée already mixed in (making me think there wasn't even strawberry in it to begin with), but man oh man, this was the tastiest strawberry matcha latte I've ever had and exactly what I needed. My partner and I stumbled upon this place looking for a coffee fix on our way back home to Sacramento, and we're so glad we did! Such a pleasant surprise and a great shop overall.

We were in the area and decided to stop by. The coffee shop is small but they have so much seating. There was some desk with lamps for people to work. I ordered an iced hazelnut latte. I lived that they use reusable purple cups. They had recycling bins all throughout the downtown. The coffee was pretty good price was regular. Customer service was pretty good. We overall had a good experience. I love that they are trying something new with the reusable cups.

Pumpkin spice latte w/coconut milk 5/5 recommend and it's in a reusable cup. A first for coffee shops and a win.

Stopped over to a coffee shop on the way to Sf and this was a such a gem and they are sustainable with recycling cups. Food: Boiled egg 5/5 recommend Drinks: Pumpkin spice latte with coconut - also a win. portion size: Hot = 12, 16, 18 oz service: Staff is super sweet and attentive Ambiance: great for any group. we sat inside and they have good vibes flowing with chill music. Parking: Street parking Payment: apple pay and card are both options. not sure about cash

Such a cool find in Petaluma. The service is super friendly and coffee was nice and smooth with an aromatic roasted flavor!

First time at Acre. The weakest iced latte ever purchased. The milk was barely discolored and had almost no perceptible coffee flavor.

Really enjoy this one! ** strawberry and cream chiffon cake slice (3.5/5): didn't really feel like a chiffon cake or maybe it was on the drier side. It worked well with the mascarpone frosting though, which was smooth and a little too rich for me by itself. There wasn't too much strawberry besides the sweet jam layer in the middle. ** Brutta mi buoni (4/5): translated to "ugly but delicious," this craggly meringue actually caught my eye and curiosity for its looks. I'm usually not a fan of meringues, but this one was loaded with nuts and was tasty. Kind of tastes like a refined version of those Lucky Charms cereal marshallows in a good way! Seriously, you might think pie is pie, but no, there's pie, and then there's pie from Petaluma Pie Company. Friendly employee and clean area outside the shop is well. So that's good. My only complaint is the eco-friendly fork they provide is absolutely awful. Not sure if it's a Petaluma requirement but real plastic forks would be much appreciated. Regardless, this place is a must-try!

I Spy With My Little Pie…read more This farm-to-table, locally-owned pie shop has been serving up both sweet and savory pie creations in Downtown Petaluma since 2010. They recently underwent an ownership change in 2024 from the OGs, but fortunately, instead of selling to a corporation, they sold it to an employee and his mother to help ensure the original ethos and quality remain intact. The Good: * Their pies are made with locally-sourced and organic ingredients bought from the local farmers market--as well as some fruit that they grow themselves! * Outdoor dog-friendly seating * As mentioned above, they have both sweet and savory pies. We only tried the sweet *oink oink* * Friendly service * Love that they have both full sized pies and smaller ones, so you don't have to commit to a big ol' pie. * We tried their Elvis (PB, banana, and chocolate) and their Black & Blue Crumble and they were both fabulous! I leaned a bit more to the B&B, as I absolutely adored that granola crumble on top, but the Elvis was no slouch either. The Meh: * Interior is small and very cramped. Definitely a grab-and-go type operation. The Ugly: * Parking in DT Petaluma can be a hassle, as it's street parking only, but at least it's free. Conclusion: Fantastic spot to scratch that 3.14 itch--and I'm always itchy!

The drip coffee has not been bad in my experience, and I've enjoyed and tolerated my espresso drinks as well. Cons - The prices. There is not justification for me to visit the Pink Owl daily or even weekly, because of the prices. I live in the vicinity of Pink Owl and have not visited it more than 30 times in two years because of the prices. I know Petaluma wants to pay their employees high wages and be progressive and what not and an undisclosed amount of $$ go to cancer research, and that's great, but who ends up having to fork out more money to fund this? EVEN with the occasional $2 off, $5 off rewards, it is cheaper to go elsewhere. "You've earned a reward" is a message not worth looking forward to, because you still end up having to shill out more money than expected. What's the point of $5 off if I still have to pay an additional $4 for a large cup of hot milk and a dash of espresso in the guise of a latte? Pink Owl is not quality enough for the prices. Petaluma has great quality coffee and Espresso in abundance. It sucks because it's a cute shop that I would enjoy if it wasn't for that slight little hiccup. On that note, I don't know a single Petaluma local that raves about Pink Owl or religiously visits them or even talks about them. I can say they do rave about other coffee shops though. I'll drop by when I win the lottery.
