Ok. Hidden gem! Complementary bread & veggie/herbs (There's nothing to put on the bread so we ordered hummus) All I can say is get it!! The hummus is fabulous. Regular hummus with wonderful notes of garlic (just the right amount to me!) I filled up on hummus & bread and didn't even care!! Let me re-iterate. This is one of the best hummus I've ever tasted!! Please get it!! The bread also came with commentary herbs/veggies (parsley, basil, feta & cucumber). I'll admit I was not quite sure what to do with the herbs but I put the fresh basil & parsley on my hummus bread and it was definitely an enhancer. I'm not a big tea drinker but the Peruvian tea is poured from a pot into your glass & is very pleasant with free refills. Also a cool-looking water carafe is placed on the table. I would actually call this place quiet although they play smooth music in the background at a decent volume level. Service was great. We had multiple servers check on us multiple, multiple times to ensure we were pleased. The place is bright & cheery with pretty round chandelier light fixtures. The food was really tasty! Had the shrimp curry with cherry rice. Almost asked for the rice without cherries but glad I didn't. Also tasted the lamb kabob. The meat was very tender & flavorful. All in all it was an overall really nice experience. I came for lunch but I would definitely come back for dinner.

After a brief Yelp search for a weekday lunch, I decided on Avesta in Katy. The restaurant was brightly lit and very nicely decorated with art on the walls. Parking wasn't an issue at lunch but perhaps a challenge with a busy dinner crowd. The staff were great and patient with first timers that thought everything on the menu looked terrific. I decided on the Lamb Shish Kabob Combo with lamb and chicken (4.5). I absolutely loved the Persian Hummus (5) appetizer with some of the best bread I've ever had. Stopping at Avesta for a meal was a great decision and plan to repeat.

Food was fresh and excellent! We ordered the hummus, lamb kabobs, & chicken kabobs with cherry rice. The service size was huge and so tasty. Our servers were friendly and quick. There were a lot of large parties, so it was quite loud inside. Also, I wouldn't sit on the couch side next time because it was too far from the table. We ordered dessert to go - can't wait to try it at home!

Great, random find while visiting Houston! Avesta is located conveniently near the Katy Asian town. Parking can be a little difficult at peak hours in this area, but once parked you can actually eat and walk around without having to re-park. The food here was amazing! Once seated, they offer you a plate of fresh vegetables with feta and fresh baked naan. I ordered hummus to eat with and it was delicious! For entree, I ordered the seafood combination plate with salmon and shrimp. It did take a little while for all our orders to come out, but we'll worth it. Portions were huge! The roasted veggies were a perfect combo along with perfectly cooked and seasoned shrimp and salmon. I recommend this plate! Ambience is clean and casual! I would recommend this restaurant!

I am so glad Avesta is open in Katy. All the entrees are amazing. The grilled skewers and tenderloins are tasty , moist and tender. The rice was cooked perfectly. By far , this is one of the best Persian food I have had in Houston/Katy area. Subjectively better than Rumi's, Kasra. I am glad that they're in Katy and definitely will come back. Service was great too :)

This place has great Mediterranean / Persian food. Some of the best hummus and yogurt dip I have ever had. The staff and service today was absolutely amazing.

I didn't ask for my meat to be freaking rare overpriced when they can't even cook it normally. Spots of the meat were rare. NEVER AGAIN

There are several…read morelocations around Houston, but I especially like this Katy Freeway location because it offers weekday specials that provide excellent value. Monday through Friday from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m., they offer a lunch special with one kebab and two sides for $17. They also have a happy hour Monday through Thursday from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. with one kebab and two sides for $15, which is a great deal. The kebab options typically include chicken, beef, lamb, or shrimp. To my knowledge, the other Fadi's locations do not offer these specials. On my most recent visit, I stopped by for happy hour. While the kebabs aren't necessarily my favorite item on the menu, it's hard to beat a meal with one kebab and two sides for $15. I chose the pomegranate eggplant, fried cauliflower, and their "Mama Ganoush," a roasted eggplant dip similar to baba ganoush. Everything was fresh and flavorful. Each meal also comes with a warm pita bread that is served fresh from the oven. The ordering process is simple: grab a tray, move down the line, and choose from the foods on display before paying at the register. The staff are always friendly, and there's plenty of seating inside. If you're looking for fresh, authentic Mediterranean food in the Katy area, Fadi's is an easy recommendation.

The platter is supposed to feed 4 people but the portion size was tiny. To start, there was barely any chicken in the shawarma wrap itself - in fact, quite laughable when you initially look at the platter. It was 90% dry pita wrap and 10% chicken. The wrap was dry, since there was little to no moisture from any sauces or juices from the chicken to support the wrap. The extra pita bread that came on the side was dry as hell as well. I'd hope the other items on the menu are better, but the quality of the family platter was extremely disappointing.

I always order the chicken shawarma with tomatoes inside, and it is hands down the best shawarma I have ever had. I've tried shawarma from so many different places, and nothing even comes close to the flavor here. The chicken is perfectly seasoned, juicy, and just melts in your mouth. If you're thinking about trying this place, do it--you will not regret it. I will definitely be coming back again and again!

The bartender was incredibly friendly and welcoming. Not to mention the ambiance was nice. I ordered a mule cocktail from the menu (I wish I could remember the name!) and it was delicious light, refreshing, and the perfect way to start my meal. I've been on the hunt for good lamb chops, and let me tell you, these were exactly what I've been craving. I haven't had much luck finding lamb chops that really impress me lately, but these absolutely lived up to my standards. I asked for them to be grilled a little longer because I love that extra charred flavor, and they came out perfect juicy on the inside, beautifully grilled on the outside, packed with flavor, and with no gamey taste at all. The rice and salad were excellent as well, and everything complemented the meal perfectly. In fact, I literally didn't leave a single crumb on my plate. We were also seated near the entrance, and having a line of people waiting outside in view throughout the meal took away a bit from the otherwise pleasant atmosphere. Overall, a great place for Mediterranean food, good service, and a lively night out. It's the kind of spot that works just as well for a casual dinner as it does for a relaxed night out with friends or family. We started off with the lentil soup, which was comforting and flavorful--light yet satisfying, with a nice balance of spices. The hummus was smooth, creamy, and elevated even more by the complimentary fresh bread, which came out warm and perfectly baked--easily one of the highlights of the meal. For mains, the Koobideh Combination stole the show. The kababs were juicy, well-seasoned, and cooked perfectly, with that classic smoky flavor that makes Persian kabobs so good. Definitely the standout dish and a must-order. The Salmon & Chicken combo was equally impressive--both proteins were tender, nicely grilled, and paired beautifully with the saffron rice and grilled vegetables, giving you a great mix of flavors and textures. We also tried the Soujuk & Cheese Lahmajun, which added a nice twist to the meal. It had a crispy base with rich, savory toppings, and the cheese brought everything together really well--great for sharing. Avesta is a solid go-to for Persian cuisine in Houston. Between the quality of the kababs, fresh bread, and overall flavor, everything hit the mark. Pair that with the great atmosphere and welcoming staff, and it's definitely a place worth coming back to
