I took my car to Avery's for control arm replacement which should have included an alignment as well but their alignment machine was down. They said they'd call when it was back up. They never called. In the meantime, my rear passenger tire blew out on my way to work a month ago; the damage was on the inner wall of the tire. I called & made an alignment appointment for this past Friday & was told I needed new tires cuz they were worn on the inside part of the tire; same as the 1 that blew out. They offered to price tires for me & I said no. They left me alignment pricing of $439 where I had been sitting while I was in the bathroom. I just scheduled an appointment with Firestone for tomorrow for tires & alignment; the alignment there costs $230 for LIFETIME. My son, who is a mechanic, told me I could have ruined my AWD by driving on tires of a different tread for the past month as well. DON'T GO TO AVERY'S IF YOU WANT GOOD CARE FOR YOUR CAR. read more

We've had to bring our son's truck here a couple of times and they always seem to do good work. They call when they say they are going to call, they tell you what the issue is and quote what it takes to get it done. I don't know how they compare on price to other shops as I haven't done that comparison, but they are definitely cheaper than the dealerships. Multiple dash lights were going off, and things looked grim. Averys could have tried to sell me on an electrical harness overhaul, or blundered through multiple fixes trying to nail the problem down. Instead they immediately checked the gas cap and told me right away it was a minor issue. I was impressed by their honesty, knowledge and evidence-based diagnostic approach. Took great care of my old and new Wrangler Eric at Avery's Auto Repair took excellent care of my 2007 Wrangler with 150,000 miles for many years. We recently traded it in and purchased a 2021 Wrangler with 40,000 miles from a Honda dealer in Tempe. The previous owners had traded it in on a new Honda. Although the 2021 Jeep looked to be in excellent condition we had no idea of its past service history so we took it to Avery's and asked them to go through it. Eric did a full inspection and replaced the air filter and cabin air filter which were dirty. He said everything else checked out fine. The Honda dealer in Tempe said that he changed the engine oil but I was not confident that he did so I told Eric to change that, too. I now feel comfortable knowing that Avery's has performed all of the inspections and scheduled maintenance that were due for this vehicle. The cost for all this was $160...well worth it for peace of mind. Avery's has never overcharged us nor upcharged us on any work. Eric and his mechanics are always very polite and friendly. Our service was very good and charge reasonable. Didn't try to inflate what was needed which was much appreciated. Our mechanic was excellent at communication. He explained what needed to be done and after completed, explained exactly what was done and why. He was also very pleasant and respectful. Moving across the country (San Diego to Virginia!), our AC stopped working. We stopped somewhere else and it ended up being more work - so they suggested Avery's. Avery's not only took great care of our car, they let us basically move into their waiting room (with our cat!) for a few hours. Originally they weren't sure if they could do the whole job in a day, but since we wanted to be back on the road and couldn't afford to delay another night they were able to move things around and get us all wrapped up. Even gave us snacks for the road! While they were working, and almost done, they noticed an additional fan that was going out. They took everyone out again to replace the fan and only charged us for the part - no labor. Everyone who walked into the waiting room was greeted warmly and like a friend. We don't live in the area, but it seems like everyone who comes here for their car is taken great care of. read more

went above and beyond. I am a 22yr old teenage girl and know NOTHING about cars. It started blinking 3 lights and I panicked. Discovered this place by word of mouth. I was an avid take your car to dealership to have things done. Oil changes at dealership made me wait 2 hour on average. This place I waited 20 min tops, and I was a walk in! I actually got to talk to Greg the mechanic who worked on my car. Yeah that's right no service manager middle man. Clean waiting area and very clean shop. The price of oil change was a few dollars cheaper too. Try this place out and ask for Greg, and you can actually have more time of the day to yourself. Fast and honest service. I initially needed a new gas tank due to a puncture in my old one that wasn't repairable. They went above and beyond to find me a good used tank as they don't make new ones for my vehicle. Fast repair as promised. I had them look at a few other issues I was concerned about. They provided me with an estimate and when I returned to have the work done, they discovered a few of the quotes items that were actually non issues. Had a new radiator from out of state go bad in 2 months. This shop diagnosed the problem in 10 minutes. They talked to my mechanic out of state got copy of invoice faxed to them. Dealt with vendor got new radiator replaced at no cost. Gave me ride to my rv and then picked me up following day when repairs completed.
