These days it's hard to find an honest auto repair shop, especially for a classic 1972 Mustang Convertible. I have been here twice now and the service was excellent both times. My car runs like new again - even at 54 years old! I highly recommend Tom, Jeff and the skilled team of technicians at Mr. Automotive.

Pulled in with camper in tow- with a flashing check engine light (nobody's idea of fun). Not what we needed as we started our family vacation. Tom came out right away and assessed the situation. He knew that we had only a few hours to attempt to repair. With in 1 hour he and his team worked to resolve the issue and we were back on the road. We safely made it to our camping trip and the family vacation was rescued. Tom went above and beyond to help us. I wish he was in Tucson so he could be my normal mechanic. Trusted expertise, and great customer service! Top Notch!

I definitely recommend Tom North at Mr. Automotive. I came in to his shop with no appointment and a large nail in my tire. He quickly got me in ordered my tire and within a few days had the new one on. He was the lowest price in town and I did check around. He is very professional and very fast. I highly recommend using them.

After convincing the AAA dispatcher that both Arivaca and Amado are actual places, Bill from Luna's showed up with his flatbed and a jump box. We figured the alternator was shot and, considering that I had a U-haul trailer with all of my plunder and two dogs in the cab, Bill devised a plan to nurse the truck to their shop. They were kind enough to let me roll out my bedroll out front for the night, and when Bill and Jessie (the owner) got to work just after sunrise, Bill had a thermos of that lifesaving nectar, coffee. That bit alone was above and beyond, but they had the alternator replaced and me up and running before nine this morning. These are good guys and they run a tight ship, if you are stuck or just need work done on your rig in the Santa Cruz Valley, look for Luna's!

When someone is in need of road service there's no need to be inpatient and short because I didn't know the names of where my car broke down. There are other stresses involved as it is. Bottom line he said since I didn't know where I was he could let AAA know to send another service to help me. After 30 minutes of waiting, in 95 degree heat and off a major highway. Wow! Not even sure why AAA after all these years of being a customer would use such an I'm unempathetic and unprofessional company. God actually did send an angel to my rescue and took care of me. Think twice about using this company. I would not recommend or refer if it was the last place on earth. Say a prayer it works way better!

I booked this mobile mechanic through Yelp for a diagnostic after already having my Jeep scanned at…read moreAutoZone and receiving error codes (injector, spark plugs, and gaskets). I explained this upfront and still chose to proceed with a diagnostic to confirm the issue. I was quoted a flat $65 diagnostic fee by the owner with no mention of pricing ranges or tiers. I agreed and scheduled the service. The technician arrived about 30 minutes later than scheduled, which I was informed of ahead of time. During a brief text exchange with the owner, I expressed concern due to a prior negative experience with another company. The response I received made the interaction feel slightly tense, including being told I could "find someone else" if needed. When the technician arrived, I explained the issues and the codes I already had. During the inspection, the technician began deeper inspection work on the vehicle. I was not clearly informed beforehand that more extensive disassembly or work beyond a basic diagnostic could result in additional charges. Afterward, I was told the diagnostic would actually be $200 due to the depth of the inspection, despite originally being quoted $65. After discussing this, I was ultimately charged $75. I expressed concern that the pricing change was not communicated upfront. The owner later acknowledged that he should have communicated a pricing range and that this was a mistake on his part. I requested a copy of the diagnostic findings I was being charged for. The response indicated there was no formal report, but pictures and a summary were provided. Communication afterward included frustration from the business regarding the reduced payment, despite the pricing change being due to lack of prior disclosure. While I do believe the technician performed the inspection thoroughly and provided useful findings, the core issue was the lack of clear communication around pricing structure, scope of work, and potential cost changes before work beyond a basic diagnostic began. I would recommend future customers get very clear written confirmation of what is included in the diagnostic fee, whether deeper inspection can change pricing, and what documentation will be provided before service begins.
