This is from my google review: I did my car service today, and Scott at the front desk was very patient, relaxed, and understanding. Scott did some coupons and saved me $30 on my bill. I believe they did a good job on my car. The reason I did not give five stars is that I had to change my daughters #2 dirty diapers twice and in the men's restroom there is no changing table. I don't know if that was the case for the women's restroom, but I am a man, and that is not my place to be. I know this issue is out of the hands of most people working at that location, but the one who has the power to make a change, there is plenty of space in the means room to add the table. I would rather not take six sheets of toilet seat covers to create a safe space on the floor. I am not saying this angrily, just saying that it would be nice. I walked in with no appointment today. I needed new front pads and other work and was quoted $1600 by another auto repair shop. Tim and the team did the work in less than 2 hours and I paid less than $500. Service was excellent throughout my visit. I will definitely use Brake Masters again. read more

So over this place... I've tried giving them a few chances because of the closeness to my house, but they have gone so far downhill that I can't go back. Just terrible service. Wait times had gotten long, so I made an appointment. Still had to wait 2-1/2 hours. Next time I thought well I'll just drop it off. They told me come back in 4 hours. I did that and they still had not gotten to my vehicle. They said hopefully it would be done before end of the business day at 5:30 - 2 more hours! Additionally they almost never reset the change oil light, which is something I had been willing to overlook for the convenience of location. Beware! If I could give zero stars I would. Wasted $90. Took in a 2001 F150 for diagnostic for service engine soon light. Was told the engine needed to be replaced. Paperwork provided stated 3 cylinders would not hold pressure. No further information/details provided. Took truck for 2nd opinion and found that pressure was 148-152 per cylinder. Called shop for detail notes and was told they don't have anything. The technician that provided the service remembers (4 days and a day off) that 1 cylinder was reading zero pressure. They offered that I could return with the truck and they would look again. Not convenient since I live 40 miles away. And, why would I go back to be taken advantage of again. read more

Make an appointment to ensure quick service. Just got new tires, checked the alignment and it was good. No charge. They will even do a Porsche service for significantly less than dealer and some specialists. read more

I allowed them to rotate my tires. Of course they don't balance them. When I went somewhere to get them balanced, I was advised that two of my rims had been damaged and could not be balanced. Do not let them rotate your tires! read more

I took my vehicle there reference a referral I had received from the neighbor business Discount Tire. The older gentleman who worked the customer service desk looked rigid. He did not greet with a smile or omit any semblance of customer assurance to a person who'd never taken a vehicle there before. I requested a simple alignment. I notified him I would be waiting. He gave me an estimated time when they could start the work that I had requested. Approximately an hour and 20 minutes later I called to inquire on the status. I was notified they had not even begun the work. I told them not to do the work. When I went back I had asked for my keys and said I won't ever return. I turned and began to exit. The older gentleman sounded out loud "good". I returned and asked him what he had said. Unbelievable poor customer service. I definitely won't return and caution those who may think of trying this business also. read more

This place takes for ever. I called ahead and they told me I didn't need an appointment for an oil change. When I got there it looked busy. I wasn't wanting to spend all day there so I checked again how long the wait would be. I was quoted for that it would be about an hour to an hour and a half. I decided that would be fine. I took my son for lunch and came back 2 hours later when they hadn't called. My car hadn't even been taken back. They apologized and said they'd prioritize it 30min max.... It took another hour to get my car. I assumed this was a bad day for them and chalked it up to that.... my sister went there the following weekend same song and dance. My car is fine but I wouldn't recommend this place unless you have serious time to kill read more

I thought that driving over an hour out of my way would be my best option considering I live in a town where it's hard to take you car somewhere reliable but I was sadly mistaken. I should saved the gas and time and just gone somewhere local. I arrived at this particular Brake Masters location 10 minutes after they opened. There was a couple people ahead of me and the young man at the receptionist desk told me it would be an hour or so to have my brakes checked (which is what I went in for). I figured that was fair and they also let me know they'd call me before doing any work on my vehicle. I walked over to a nearby store and before I knew it, I lost track of time and realized it had been over an hour and a half since I had dropped off my car. I called and asked if they had already checked out my car and figured out what work needed to be done on it. After a long hold the man that answered told me "we'll let you know in a half hour." So I said "I was told it would be no longer than an hour, has my car even been looked at?" He simply said "Ma'am we'll get right to it." I decided to walk back over there and much to my surprise, there was my car, parked where I had left it. It hadn't even been moved or looked at. I went up to reception and asked for my keys and the man up front didn't hesitate to hand them over. (Most people would have explained what the hold up was, advised the customer it would only be a while longer, etc). Not here, he handed me my keys, didn't apologize, nothing. It's clear that my business was not wanted here and 2 hours+ for a brake check is completely unacceptable, and mine were never even checked out. Save your time and money and don't bother checking out this Brake Masters location. What a joke. read more

Shady business practices. I went in a little less than a month ago to get an oil change and an alignment. They called me while my car was there to say that my car would not start, that they had to jump start it and that I needed a new battery and pointed out it still has the original battery (2016) I told them no thank you, my husband already had a new battery at home for when this one needs to be replaced. When I picked up the car it started just fine and I've been using the same battery since then for weeks with absolutely no problems. I assume they noticed I still had the ordinal battery and thought because I am a woman I'd go along with anything they said. Yesterday I took my car in again to get my brakes looked at. Unfortunately I forgot the wheel lock key and they were not able to do that and asked me to come again another time. When I pickup up my car the check engine light was on. (Has never been on since purchasing the car including when I dropped it off). I took it next door to the auto zone where they scanned it for me and told me that part looked fine and cleared the code. I've driven about 60 miles since then and the code has not returned. Looking at the other reviews it seems like most men are pleased and giving 5 stars while most complaints about made-up services being needed and the like are from women. Don't find that a coincidence. Won't ever be going back. read more

I've been going to Brake Masters for a while and honestly never had an issue until a worker named Andrew told me I needed my brakes fixed - when I was trying to get info from him on why I came in for an oil change and suddenly maintenance lights were on he cussed at me under his breath. In fairness the manager Ryan was awesome about this! (Andrew also double filled my oil! ) so Ryan helped me out with my back brakes. But then they kept squeaking... i went to a different Brake Masters today on Valencia and they were so, so great about this and helped me out! My husband was in a bad car accident in 2017 so we both get super bad anxiety from squeaks and car issues. I probably seemed super annoying to the workers, but ‍ it sucks when you get treated poorly out of concern when I thought after dealing with the Andrew crap it was fair to feel concerned. read more

My girlfriend took her car to brakemasters because it was leaking coolant. We dropped it off in the morning and they had it fixed by the afternoon. All is needed was a new hose fitting and coolant flush. They were honest and fair with their work for a reasonable price read more

I've been writing tons of 5 start reviews...I love seeing great service and I like to do what I can in appreciation for the business that go above and beyond. I drive a fleet vehicle and needed a very much overdue oil change along with about 5-6 other maintenance requirements. I was greeted by friendly staff and although they did not have their systems set up to Handel a vehicle from my fleet company, they told me to drop the vehicle,off, grab lunch, and they would take care of the rest. I've been rudely turned away from other service stations in the past being told that since they are not registered with my fleet company, they will not and cannot help me. Honestly, this process takes only about 10 minutes total. When I picked up then car, I was a grain greeted by the friendly staff who gave me all the necessary updates. The manager said that I had given him an incorrect phone number for fleet, but to head out on my way and he would take care of everything, Terrific service! I wish this location was closer to my home. I'll definitely make it a point to stop in when I'm in this side of town and in need of service. read more

Run the other way! This place is so shady! I went for an oil change and brake check. Next thing I knew, I was being quoted $1,700 for all kinds of things that I supposedly needed to do right away. I asked them to take my car off the lift so I could go home and discuss it with my husband. When I started to drive away I noticed a metal scraping sound coming from my front tire, so I pulled back in. The manager pushed on my wheels and mentioned something about the hardware. It stopped just long enough for me to get home. Fast forward to my second opinion at a highly rated mechanic and it turns out that my car certainly did NOT need anywhere near $1,700 in work...AND... Brake Masters bent my brake hardware so that had to be replaced. The new mechanic did everything my car needed done, including new brake hardware (thanks Brake Masters) and my oil change for $280. Wow! I'm so glad I left. As a side note, while I was waiting to receive the outrageous quote, 2 separate people came in to Brake Masters disputing the recent work they had done. Red flags!! I will be telling everyone I know how unbelievably awful this place is and how I almost got taken for $1,700 worth of work that I didn't even need! DO NOT TRUST THESE THIEVES! read more

I started hearing a slight squeak when I'd brake. Being fairly new to Tucson and not being overly impressed with the Honda dealerships service departments here, I thought I'd try Brake Masters since I pass by it every day. Took my car in for the brakes and also asked them to check my A/C since our temps are about to hit a week of over 112 degrees. I made an appointment the day before, arrived about ten minutes before my appointment and they were looking at my car pretty quick after my arrival. To my amazement they told me my brakes were great, with 80% left on them, and they could resurface them if I wanted them to try something and see if that helped with the little squeak I was hearing ... but ... if it were him he wouldn't do anything because the brakes, pads, rotors all looked good. He also said they checked my A/C and that was also good and no need to recharge it. I went in expecting the worst and was pleasantly surprised by how honest they were. Honda has never said something was fine, they always find a reason to gouge me. I left Brake Masters not needing any work or paying any money ... they just made a loyal customer out of me. Going forward I will use them for brakes, oil changes, A/C issues, alignments ... anything I can! Thank you guys for five star service, integrity and honesty. read more

Dishonesty at its worst. My wife went in to get a front end alignment. Afterwards noticed the steering wheel was crooked. I called to ask why. I was told that they didn't do the alignment because both inner tie rods needed replaced. Here's the problem..... 1. I personally changed all tie rods myself with new parts less than three weeks ago. 2. They never told my wife they couldn't do the alignment but were more than willing to charge her for a front end alignment. Seriously? read more

The first time I've been to a Brake Master's, it was only $20 to check out a car that I was thinking about buying. I've paid about $75 years ago for same. So, was taken care of by Dana up front first, then Mr Perez later. I had a torn up coupon, they accepted it anyhow. I mentioned about squeaky brakes and Dana agreed to offer me premium upgraded brakes to be installed instead complimentary (normally $20 extra). They shouldn't squeak anymore! Yay! Did I mention that the car is covered all over the country? They were very nice, even allowed me to use the tv remote. Showed me my engine air filter, gross. And that changing it will give me better mileage. Woo hoo, I already get about 35 mpg Looking forward to seeing how much better it will be. Very pleased with their service. Update, last service was for both an alignment and oil change. Mentioned there was a coupon and was honored the price. Was quoted a certain time and surprisingly, they were done earlier for both services! Was blown away at how fast they worked on my car. read more

I hate giving reviews and bringing any business down, but this place really is terrible. I went it to get my car checked and told them specifically that my car was leaking oil and I paid $89 just to get it looked at and see where the leak came from. They told me the problem was from my turbo, saying that it was cracked open. I got it fixed there for $1050. As a college student, this is sooo much for me. I didn't really think much about it, I just want my car fixed and the problem to be gone and get it over with. So, they replaced my turbo. Right when I got home, I checked and the leak was still there and it was leaking even more. I went in maybe a week later cause apparently I have a very busy schedule, working and studying, I barely have any time to come in. This place takes a very long time to give their service to customers, even when you make an appointment with them. I'm pretty sure I'm not the only one complaining about this, because it's true. So, I was complaining to them about the leaks still. I made an appointment with them at 9 and it took them 2 hours just to look at my car and see where the leaks come from. They told me the leaks come from 2 places, the water pump and the cam sensor. They gave me the estimate to get it fixed and it was another $1000. I just paid $1050 to get my turbo fixed and avoid the leaks!!? It probably wasn't even cracked or caused any leaks. My turbo probably wasn't even bad at all. As a person who doesn't like to argue with anyone or cause any problem, I just told them I'll just come back another time to get it fixed. Because god knows I would need to save up for that much of money. I went to another car dealership and let them look at my car and they told me the leak comes from just my cam sensor, which it would cost $126 to fix it. My mind is just blown by how this place ruthlessly rips customers off. Never coming back ever again, and would not recommend to anyone. Called to inquire about having my brakes checked. "No problem, come on in. We can get it done in 30 to 45 minutes." Arrived at 11:50am. Did not get out until 1:50pm (two hours... UGH). On top of that, I had to ask that the lugs on my vehicle be re-torqued with a torque wrench (wheels were taken off for inspection of the brakes). Mechanic only hammered them back on with an impact tool. Request for re-torquing was not well received. Any decent mechanic knows the value of installing wheels with a torque wrench. Nobody had name tags. Not even the managers. Did not get the feeling this was a professional shop. Quick off the cuff answers to my questions. Not very good listeners. Will probably not return. read more

My 05 sentra was toast because of a cpu malfunction. For a month they searched for a part no longer manufactured by nissan and scoured junk yards nationwide with no luck. We finally found a company that would rebuild it, they did and it worked like magic. They even provided me a rental car for the whole month! How awesome is that!? Unable to preform a simple oil change without having to take my vehicle back because they did not put the bolts back into the skid plate and it came off. If Brake 'masters' can't even do a simple oil change without messing it up I would not trust them to do anything more involved, like brakes. read more
