    Salmon

Fabulous place to stay with the classic charm of an old cottage. But this review is not about the Inn (which is fabulous) this is regarding their food. Tucker away in the back corner of the first floor is a restaurant and bar area where live music entertains you Wednesday through Saturday evening. Friday evening there was a boyfriend and girlfriend act playing guitar and accordion. Nice voices. Very engaging. Had a "vaudeville" feel to them. For dinner I got the salmon. It was served pretty quick, so I got it nice and warm. The salmon was flaky and not fishy smelling. It was a respectable size piece of fish. When they served it, they poured a savory juice around the base adding an extra bonus to the meal. Most importantly it tasted wonderful.

This place is so fun. A great mix of hikers who still have mud in their shoes and the elegant tourists on dates, dressed to the nines. The new bartender, Mia makes a fabulous vodka martini. She is a wizard as she mixes. Alexis and Danielle are fabulous waitresses and work the room seamlessly. The Freemonts were the best entertainment I've ever had in the Berkshires EVER!

Didn't stay at the inn, but hung out at the bar on a Friday night while passing through town. Small cozy pub that had a decent weekend band doing 80s lite rock. The bartenders were fun, outgoing, and pleasant (I didn't catch my bartenders name, but she recommended a really good regional cider). I'd be 1/2 tempted to stay next time I'm that way.

This place is amazing. We stopped in for a drink and to enjoy some live music (Johnny Irion). All the drinks were perfectly crafted and poured; standouts were the Spicy Margarita* and La vie en Rose* The room itself is the epitome of a smokey, sexy, candle-lit bar. Perfect date night spot. Lots of space and options for seating. Great air circulation throughout the entire place, not stuffy or cluttered at all. The entire atmosphere is incredibly comfortable and chic. Can't wait to return and listen to some more live music and explore more of the menu

Great addition to the Berkshire's and Lenox. The Ostrich Room bar adds class and kindness to a beautiful view location. The bartender, Antonio, makes exotic and fancy drinks with a friendly caring attitude.

I came from NYC to visit friends. Had dinners and drinks here. Enjoyed the country chic vibe, craft cocktails and top notch food - felt like SoHo House. Highly highly recommend.

Very friendly at check-in and answered all my questions during my stay, always with a smile on her face. My room was beautiful. I chose room 25 (Vivian) on the 2nd floor of the main house. While it's a small room, it was cozy and quite lovely. I spent some quiet time writing at the desk, and later enjoyed the fireplace with a Duraflame log provided by the inn. They also provide a free bottle of wine, which was waiting for me in my room. The next morning, hot breakfast was waiting in the dining area downstairs. There were several options, which I appreciate having a choice. The pumpkin French toast casserole, seasoned potatoes, and bacon were superb. A great way to start the day! I loved my stay so much that I'm returning in January for another night!

From the warm welcome upon arrival--complete with a welcome drink, pastries, and brownies--to the impeccable service, every detail feels well thought out. We were a bit apprehensive when we heard about the new ownership, but thankfully, much of the charm remains intact. The bar now uses a Bartesian machine, which makes good cocktails, though I can see it becoming cumbersome if multiple guests arrive at once. Breakfast is always wonderful with a variety of entrées and sides. My only wish? That they bring back the specialty coffee machine--I miss those cappuccinos! Fortunately, their excellent selection of Harney & Sons teas helps make up for it. Already looking forward to our next visit!

First impressions make all the difference. After a long exhausting drive (no thanks to rush hour…read moretraffic) from NY downstate, we were greeted warmly by Matt, who not only acknowledged our hotel loyalty status, but also offered my kids cookies and water. I happened to have forgotten the kids toothbrushes, but he quickly retrieved replacements for me. We were quickly checked in, and after we settled into the room, he even gave us a courtesy call to let us know the wi-fi password! As someone who loves a good value (and a sucker for free breakfast, I like Hampton Inns because theres a standard level of service and attention that I can expect (24 hr access to free hot coffee/tea is a nice touch). Even if the nightly cost is slightly higher than their competitors down the road, I am willing to pay a bit more for great service, and that's exactly what we got. Our room was clean and exactly as advertised. No Microwave in the room, but they did have a mini-fridge. We had plenty of walking space between the furniture, areas to rest our belongings, and hang our clothes. They even had a nightlight in the room to boot (great for anyone with kids, elderly travelers, or poor night vision!). We were a traveling party of 2 adult + 2 kids, and this room was the perfect size for our needs. The Breakfast was a little *extra* with the fun banagrams too. Coffee was hot and refilled often! Never once saw any canisters empty, as the back end staff changed them out often. There was a microwave for guest to use, and I was able to quickly heat up our lunch for the day ahead. Hope to return again during ski-season!

BEWARE of this Hotel and its unprofessional, and downright cruel GENERAL MANAGER - LAURA RUMMEL!!!!…read more We had a terrible encounter here at this Hampton Inn with Laura Rummel, General Manager. I would steer clear of this hotel and go elsewhere if you are able to as she is unprofessional, rude and condescending. I have been a loyal Hampton Inn customer for decades and a DIAMOND HILTON member, and have never in my life had a negative interaction with any hotel personnel, particularly a General Manager! This is my first complaint, but I felt it was quite necessary to help others to avoid this abuse. My 5 year old daughter attempted to get a paper cup off of the counter during breakfast, and was scolded by Ms. Rummel and told no that she could not get a cup. My daughter came back crying hysterically. I approached Ms. Rummel and asked what she had said to my daughter since she was crying, and was told that she told her NO bc she was "messing up her teas." I looked over and saw 2 tea bags that were somewhat out of place. I asked my daughter to clarify what had happened, and she stated that she was trying to get the cup and the teas got caught on her sweater, so she was placing them back. I went back to discuss this misunderstanding with Ms. Rummel, who was adamant that my daughter was out to mess up the coveted teabags here. So, I asked her name and explained to her that I thought she was unkind for making my daughter cry, and that it was odd that she did not feel badly or even attempt to apologize for making a child cry. **She blatantly told me that SHE WAS NOT GOING TO APOLOGIZE, and that my daughter should not be messing up her teabags and that she should not have been unaccompanied (mind you - 6 ft from where we were eating breakfast in a clear vantage point of me). I informed her I would be making a complaint with Hampton and she told me she "DID NOT CARE, BECAUSE AS THE GENERAL MANAGER - ALL COMPLAINTS COME TO HER ANYWAYS." After I told her I would be calling corporate, she continued to double down on this statement multiple times that it didn't matter, since the complaints come to her.** So, BEWARE if you choose this hotel that clearly Ms. Rummel is an unhinged individual with a power complex, and will not care about your well-being, and, in fact, overtly try to to make you feel unwelcome and uncomfortable. Save yourself some frustration and mental anguish and stay at another Hilton property, or at least until Ms. Rummel has been replaced.

The staff proved to be uniformly pleasant people, always helpful. The public spaces -- the dining areas and especially the recently refurbished parlor rooms which are stocked with drinks and hors d'oeuvres in the late afternoon -- are a genuine delight. So much is good here. But we have given the inn four stars not five because of the disappointing breakfasts. We were served very overcooked casseroles, overcooked scrambled eggs, grossly undercooked bacon and rather sad bits of yogurt. They really need some improvements here. That said -- and we know it requires us to be honest -- we would definitely look forward to returning with fingers crossed for some improvements in the breakfasts. And yes, 33 Main is on the pricey side, but it's high season for Tanglewood -- a very short drive away -- and given the quality here we think it's well worth considering a splurge.

Friendly, professional, smart and charismatic, we are taking about a top talent in a tough industry. The Inm is beautiful, well appointed and located in a prime location. Park your car and walk everywhere, including Tanglewood if you are so inclined (30 minutes each way). The standard rooms are TINY, but the grounds, lobby, fire pit and front porch give you no reason to be in iyour room other than sleep or shower. Speaking of which, you will laugh out loud when you see how small the bathrooms are in the regular rooms. The bathroom photos on their website are not the bathroom you will get in a standard king. You will get a phone booth with water. CONS Breakfast is a moon launch, get this poor girl some help. Put out a self serve pot of coffee with to go cups for early risers and leave it out all morning. She will love this idea, trust me. Eggs and toast were ice cold when they finally arrived, so we skipped breakfast the next morning as she was buried yet again. The bar was completely overwhelmed both nights with a large wedding and made it near impossible for anyone else to get a drink. We are talking 20 minutes due to the complexity of their cocktail program. Like everyone else, he was very hospitable, but cannot handle the bar stools, plus all of the dining room and outside cocktails on his own. Get him some help. The Inn would also benefit from an ice water station, especially on these scorching hot days. Your bartender and servers will also thank you. Lastly and the real reason for dropping a star is that we were checked into a dirty room at 3:30pm. At 600.00 per night, this is a fatal flaw and should have never happened. Never.

Not having been here before I wasn't sure this was possible. Thankfully we went with her idea and it was no problem at all. We decided on having a pre dinner cocktail. My wife ordered one of their specials - passion fruit martini. I had a traditional gin martini, stirred, with olives. The bartender (Samuel) was great. Very attentive during our time at the bar. When our reservation time came around we were taken to the dining room. Butternut squash soup and popovers to start. Following that was a family style serving of turkey (white and dark meat), mashed potatoes, mashed sweet potatoes, green beans, stuffing, and gravy. Everything was delicious. We were offered seconds but neither my wife or I had room for any more. Dessert was a help yourself selection of pies - pumpkin, blueberry, apple, and pecan. I tried the pecan and blueberry. Both were delicious. Highly recommend eating here.

The building is really beautiful and at any other time we would have made use of the beautiful common spaces indoors and not just enjoyed our room and the grounds. The room was impeccably cleaned and staff were attentive to needs that came up during the visit. The absolute stand out was our room service meal set in front of the wood-burning fireplace in our room. They came up with a table, offered us options for chairs, had all of the food wrapped in plastic and covered in warming lids, but done in a way that did not interfere with even the delicate plating details. The portions were substantial and food quality was outstanding. They even provided gluten-free options that went above and beyond to accommodate an allergy. I wish I could give 4.5 because there were some minor areas for improvement, but I will round up given COVID was likely a contributing factor.

Next thing we know the manger of the Hotel comes to the pool standing over us suit & all. After announcing his titled he ordered my husband to move the car. It was definitely a reprimand for his bad behavior. Of course he moved the car. When we returned to our room there was a hand written note offering to serve us dinner in our room that evening.
