I will start this off by saying my nails came out cute, but if you're thinking about getting a dip manicure here I would maybe rethink it. The nail tech that removed my old dip started off by soaking and filing to get it off... but then she started PEELING off the old dip with her own fingernails and then switching to an acrylic tip. She actually broke the tip off one of my own nails by doing this. Luckily my nails were really long, but I just know under all the dip my real nails suffered some pretty bad damage. I don't understand how this place has such good reviews. I came in for a pedi solely because my heels were dry & really needed some TLC. I paid for the $45 pedi to make sure i got a pkg that would take care of my heels. It was about 5 minutes of rough rubbing on the tops of my feet and shins. No work on my heels. Next thing u know she tells me she's done having only done minimal work. I had to ask for her to work on my heels because she didn't even touch them. So buffed them a bit but they're still so dry! To top it all off, I asked for regular polish and she used gel. Which made the pedi come out to almost $20 more than I was told. When I expressed my discontent the cashier just told me that it was $18 not $20. :/ Do not recommend! What a waste of money. I had high hopes going into the salon because I had seen so many pictures on google, but sadly that wasn't the full case for me. I came in to the salon on March 14 at 5pm to get a pedi and full acrylic set. There wasn't a wait so I was served immediately. I had 2 women working on me (1 doing my pedicure and 1 starting my acrylic set). The lady doing my pedicure was really nice and offered me refreshments during my service. Unfortunately my experience declined after that. During my pedicure I was asked if I wanted gel polish to which I agreed initially. I then changed my mind and notified her almost immediately. She asked if I was sure and went over the benefits to gel polish. The lady doing my nails also chimes in about the benefits I repeated that I wanted regular polish so she continued filing and massaging my legs. She then asked again to double checked with me before getting up and grabbing the polish. Before I could even get a word out the lady doing my nails over speaks me and says "yea, she wants it", I immediately said "no, it's fine I'll go with the regular one". It gets quiet and she gets up to grab the polish. She of course grabbed the gel polish and I didn't notice at first because as soon as the lady came back the girl doing my nails started to get pretty rough while cutting and filing my nails. She was gripping and grabbing my hands every which way so I was trying to make sure I wasn't getting hurt. I later glance over at my toes and realized she was using gel polish. She was already half way done with my 2nd foot. At this point I'm annoyed because I was giving an extra service that I specifically didn't want and confirmed I didn't want twice. The lady finished with my toes and I get moved over to the nail station to finish my nails. The only thing that need to be done was the design since she had already placed the acrylic on my nails. She was extremely rushed, so she kept dropping nail polish, brushes, and she messed up a few times on my designs. She attempted to correct a few of her mistakes but some parts of nails are missing polish and she definitely would've been able to notice it if she would've slowed down. I ended my appointment with messy nails, overly oiled cuticles, dust from the filing still covering my nails, half dried top coat on my right hand (which resulted in my right thumb polish peeling off), and what I assume is either top coat residue or dried monomer residue on my finger tip leading to my palms. They took pictures of my nails, so I assume they like it but I'm not pleased especially with me being overcharged. read more

Okay, may have to change my opinion. The first time I went here IT WAS SO GREAT and Emily was very sweet and did a great job. My 2nd experience not too great. I went in for a new dip set and I was kind of made to feel like I was an inconvenience. She did a great job on my nails and eyebrows but she was rude about my color objection. I noticed the dipping powder was not looking like the color I wanted, I told her I wanted white, she said "this is not white, now you are making me do extra work" since I wanted another color. I picked the color on the Dip sample chart thinking it was white, I did not mean to be a problem with the color choices. Im usually very spot on with my color choices. Im a little bit offended and felt like an inconvenience the rest of my appointment. I am a paying customer and I shouldn't feel like that. I may have to look for another nail salon or may give Ava Spa and Nails a second chance hopefully. My nail tech was not Emily by the way. read more

Her massage and with the chair massage and a glass of wine is relaxing and just what I needed after a hard week. I recommend her and will ask for her again. SAVE YOUR MONEY! DO NOT COME HERE. I initially came to this salon for its high rating, reading through the reviews but I have never been to a worse nail salon. I went in to get an acrylic set done with a friend and asked for two full sets, when greeted the nail tech started off with a bad attitude, almost upset that we had came in. She told us to both sit at two different chairs. She sat down and asked what I would like ( which was a simple coffin with French tip) and when I told her her attitude worsened. She rushed through cutting my nails down without saying a word and proceeded to cut my thumb in the process with clippers. At that moment I was almost ready to leave but I decided to wait it out. She then proceeded to glue on the nail tips and got glue on my fingers in the process! I've been getting acrylics for years now and have never gotten that much glue on my finger. She then glued my middle finger nail crooked in the process so I politely told her this one was crooked, she glued it a SECOND time and it was STILL crooked so I asked her if that would affect the final product, she the looks at me and ROLLS HER EYES. So I told her to take off the nails. I left with glue all over my fingers and my nails filled. SAVE YOUR MONEY AND TIME DO NOT COME HERE!!! read more

I have had one good experience out of four at this salon. It is definitely going downhill. The last visit was the deal breaker. The man who clearly is in charge there (loud talker, no mask) was doing my 15 year old daughter's nails. Besides constantly yelling throughout the service to other technicians from the front of the store, he talked her out of the nail shape she requested (she was getting tips and has tiny nail beds, so the shape matters), saying the shape she chose was for old ladies, that her hands were too small and old lady like already, and she should trust him since he's been doing this for 15 years. He had to redo one nail four different times as he kept messing up. Ultimately, her nails looked horrible, literally like dog claws, tiny and pointed. (I should have taken a picture of them before we ultimately cut them off as they were truly bizarre looking.) The nail he kept redoing was still twice as thick as the others. We had to leave quickly to catch a flight, but called to say that we were not at all happy with her manicure (not to mention poor customer service) and asked for a refund (just on her service, not mine which was also average as the nail polish was lighter in some spots than others). He said he would not do that, but if we would come back in he would redo them. We told him we didn't have another hour and a half to spend as we were leaving town. He said he would not refund me because of the time and equipment he had used, and that if I went to a restaurant and didn't like the food, I would still have to pay. His voice got louder and louder. When I tried to contradict his point, he began yelling incessantly, and literally WOULD NOT STOP. I asked him politely to stop yelling multiple times, until I finally had to yell back at him to stop yelling at me. He STILL did not stop. I eventually had to hang up on him. We did not receive a refund. There were several ways he could have handled this situation. If he was willing to redo them, he simply could have offered us a free service once we returned...it would have been the same loss for him as redoing the nails for free that same day. A refund would have been the same monetary loss and a lot less headache. Regardless, there is NO scenario in which the owner of a business should be yelling at a paying customer for respectfully voicing their dissatisfaction over a substandard product and service. Beware any nail salon with a gimmicky margarita machine. read more

Have booked twice with an appointment and waited over 30 mins to be seen. They take walk-ins, regardless of upcoming pre-booked appointments. Only a few technicians know how to do SNS but you will only find out mid-appointment if you are seeing one who does. Last time the technician (mid-manicure) admitted she didn't know how. My nails looked awful but after 2 hours I just wanted to leave. The owner had left and turned out the lights by that time any way. I came in the next day, explained the situation and showed them my nails. I asked they remove the SNS and they said they didn't have time. I had to argue for a refund for my previous manicure. read more
