I've been here on multiple occasions and I must say that this place is not only helpful but depending on what you need they can provide the service as well. Ivan- was nothing short of amazing, he was friendly, kind, and very knowledgeable about the products to buy as sometimes it's very easy to feel pressured to buy the most expensive items he was able to make the process easy. I want to thank Ivan for being able to get me in and out with no issues. read more

I go In all the time and always get treated well by Brenda in the commercial accounts dept she is a real go to but this guy here you should avoid he seems to be mad at the fact he applied here. He decided to talk to me crazy and dismissed my questions then antagonized me by repeating have a blessed day. We are at auto zone ain't nothing blessed about this trip this is business not religion. read more

In my laymen's experience summertime is a killer for batteries here in Houston. So, it died after two years of service, AAA gave the car a jump start and autozone seemed to be the nearest affordable batteries dealer. I got an absolute steal, price wise. It was not a battery that fit the carmakers recommendation but with the great help of staff and the manager we found one that fit. The apprentice had quite some difficulties to find the right tools, disconnect and remove the old battery. And, he shortened the new one while trying to install it. Apparently the "+" and "-" sign on the battery have a meaning after all. The car did not start. Help, in form of the manager was summoned and he bent himself backwards to make it whole again. Took some time to find the right fuse, and the car started again, but engine light, connector and AC were not running. After some more troubleshooting and finding another two blown fuses in a different fuse box the damage was repaired. I highly recommend this location. I was just treated right. Mistakes can happen, to repair them was a matter of honor and customer service. My tip-offer was declined, they said it was their mistake all along, The least I can do is to leave a good review here. Which I did. I will definitely return with any need I could have (car related). Thank you. read more

The cold front killed my car battery. The team at AutoZone had my car battery replaced within 20 minutes. There were many other people coming in for the same reason. Moses was extremely helpful and efficient in helping everyone! read more

Super cool place to get your battery powered or replaced. It took Jaime less than 10 minutes!!! Thank you read more

I've had a series of bad experiences here so I should update. The first happened a few months ago when I asked to have a check engine light checked. The younger Asian looking fellow behind the counter said "aw sorry, our tester doesn't work"...ok. It seemed odd because they sell a whole bunch of testers that they can just open if that's the case so I went to another store by Fondren and the lady there gave me the wrong code from a different car! (i guess she forgot to reset it and didn't read the code from my car) and I ended up changing a stupid crankshaft sensor that I didn't need. Then after that, the 2nd reman alternator I got from them died and I literally had to push my car to them and asked them to test it. They said 'we can't test it because your battery is dead now" and told me they could only test it if I had a new battery. They saw my car was dead and I was going to change it right there, but they didn't tell me they could test the damn thing if I took it out so I ended up wasting 2 hours to go get my battery which was still under warranty elsewhere. Total nightmare of a day. So then with a new battery and another worthless reman alternator, I thought I was set, but my autozone battery terminal that I had bought 8 months earlier just snapped off. This time I wised up and got an OEM from the manufacturer. So cautionary tale, Autozone sucks. Buying electrical parts from them is like buying anything from Wal-Mart. Sure, buy your oil and windshielf wipers from them, but their electrical parts, especially Duralast re manufactured parts are a disaster. read more

Huge shout out to Jeremy B from Store#4267 our battery had just died down while we were down the street at the grocery store after struggling to find someone who could give us a Jumpstart we finally got to Autozone where we were greeted by Jeremy he really took care of us informed us on the battery warranty policies and helped even change it out in this heat thank you so much! Jeremy just earned Autozone a customer for life! read more

Never coming to this place again. I placed an order for new battery and everything was going good and there comes an idiot (ALEX) interfering tell me to help the associate to change battery and talk shit about my family. This ain't my job also please learn how to talk to a customer and I think manager and district manager should look into this how to talk to a client. read more

A couple moths ago by accident I left my car lights on and because of that it drained my car battery, I took it to auto zone on Westheimer for charge and after a couple hours they told me that my battery was bad and that I needed a new one, instead of buying a new one I took it somewhere for a second option since I knew that my battery was dead due to me leaving the lights on, the other auto parts I went to which was NOT auto zone, they kept my battery for charging and when I picked up they said that my battery was good and since then I been driving my car and my battery still working good. read more

They were great, I called Tuesday for a price and stock on the car battery I needed. Go in on Wednesday the battery was in stock and priced correctly. The tried to install it but I had corrosion, but he was able to jump my car, and sent me to the closest place that could help me... I love this place, they're fast and honest, and quick. I know little about cars but they're always willing to help.. read more

Because sometimes ya just need to buy a quick part. Time to do the spark plugs in the Speed 3. I stopped into this location, one of the customer service representatives asked me what I was looking for. They did a quick search of my make model etc... and I was back at the register in about 2-3 minutes after initially walking into the store. read more

Third time going to this Autozone; always a great experience. Anna is an absolute doll! I went their today around 3pm because the bulb blew out on my cars headlight. Anna helped me immediately, did not try and up sell me on a more expensive product I did not need, replaced both bulbs for me free of charge, helped remove the erosion from my battery (also free of charge, provided excellent customer service and did all that in like, 15 minutes (maybe less). When I went to tip her she said, "that's not necessary; leaving positive feedback/reviews helps us all." Mind blown!!!! Wow, what a great example of amazing service! Someone give that woman a promotion!! And yes, I forced her to accept the tip. Thank you, A loyal customer read more

This is really close to my house. The service is a-okay and pretty slow, no matter what time of day. I think the workers are overworked there and they need more help. read more

I walked into Auto zone today in need of help. I was improperly greeted by a female employee. She said to me "What do you want!" I said excuse me. And she repeated herself with an attitude. I asked, is there's someone else that can help me? She rolled her eyes, and said he's over there. As I waited for help, I said to the lady that wasn't a proper greeting, I found it to be rude. She just smiled at me disregarding my feelings. Then she mumbled under her breath saying you bitch! I asked here did she called me a bitch, she replied saying "maybe" I felt extremely disrespected. I told the manager the situation, and he totally disregarded the issue at hand. He proceeded to ask me, how can he help me. I didn't want anything out there, I left feeling very disrespected. I've always went to Auto zone for my car parts, but today the company lost a customer. read more

My review might be biased, given I work next door and call on them every thirty minutes! The convenience factor aside, the staff is very helpful especially in my case cuz I know diddly squat about mechanic work. The commercial side is always on call and prompt on thier deliveries. And commercial discounts don't hurt neither! read more

I love this Auto Zone. The dealership told me I needed over $500 wirth of work on my car. I come here and to double check most issues. I got most of the maintance done for $60, and debunked 3 other issues. They show me how to do own my own the next time. Thank you Auto Zone. read more

Showed up here 3:45pm today to get the battery checked. Car was not cranking properly when starting. Purchased the battery here in June of 2018. The guy said it was probably the battery but they did not have a tester, because theirs was broken and has been for awhile. He tried to just sell us a battery. When we asked where we could get it tested he directed us to another AutoZone on Fondren. We went to that store and an Afro American woman checked the battery and said it was OK, it was probably the alternator or something else. She suggested we take it to a mechanic. So we drove it to Bellaire to my mechanic and he checked it and said the battery was bad. Since we were supposed to be getting $68 back on the old battery, we went back to this store on Westheimer. We were gone about an hour and 30 minutes and talked to a new guy and he said yes they had a battery tester there. He tested the battery and said the battery was bad. So we got a new battery from him. Very upset about the first guy here lying to us about not having a tester (just too lazy to do the work?) and misdiagnosis and misinformation from the other AutoZone on Fondren. And all the wasted gas and time spent running around. read more

It is 9:50 PM they are unwilling to diagnose my car because they said they're about to close. There's no customer around. They are unwilling to do something that would take literally three minutes. Not recommended. My car is sputtering and the check engine light is on. Bad customer service. read more

Couple a weeks ago I bought a new car battery. A week later I got stranded, so I took the battery to a different autozone and was told it was defective! I went by the store and asked if they sell defective batteries and I was told "No", well you just lied to me because you do sell'em and was told that they test them before selling them. Well mine was not tested! So if you are buying a battery from this location, please have them test it before you step out the door with it!! read more

Thanks. The manager working at lunch time today was very knowledgeable and very helpful. She was courteous and I could tell she enjoyed her job and enjoyed working with her team. She helped with our battery. read more

This location is probably one of the worst branches of auto zone I've ever been to. Zero customer service. They just rush you of to whoever is available so they can get rid of the next person in line. The person who is responsible for battery checks is very uneducated about batteries. I felt like he was just trying get rid of me. And because I'm a woman he probably thought he can just tell me anything & I'll just leave. He said he didn't have the tools to remove my battery( when autozone is who installed the battery with those same tools in the first place) then when I asked what am i supposed to do with a dead battery since he claimed to not have the proper tools needed to remove it he said "he doesn't know, people steal their tools". Then I asked to speak with the manager then all of a sudden those same missing tools appeared. Definitely never coming back to this location. read more

Sammy the manager is awesome. Richard the tech is super nice and will help you a ton. Coming back to this AutoZone again.

So we had a emergency battery issue with the store closing in 30 minutes, and Cayson was impressive. He assessed our situation over the phone, and had our battery swapped out within minutes. Even gave us recommendation on what we should and shouldn't do, and told us about our warranty. I was really impressed with Cayson and his service delivery. read more

8 customers........call for help. Making a simple car wax purchase at AutoZone shouldn't take 15 minutes.

Being a francisee, I always thought all Autozones were good. But I was dissapointed with this one. The staff is a little slow. No one really asks you if you need some. Once you figure out where things are located in thi shop, they take their own sweet time to ring you out. I needed a spare part for my car.The manager here said that the dealership would me charge me a lot to replace it. Then he brings in a (puerto rican) man from outside who he recommends and says he will do a good at 1/3th the cost. And the part being from Autozone, I don't have to worry. Being foolish, I accept his offer only to realize the man didnt do a good job. When I went back to the shop to speak to the manager, he says he can't be responsible for non-Autozone employees! Hyprocrisy I say but I have learned my lesson. Next time I will go to Fondren rather than get cheated here! read more

Terrible customer service. Three people at the counter and no one would help When i asked a question. They didn't try to answer it and just told me go look for it in that area read more

This place is awful. Filthy, rude staff unwilling to help, slow, parking lot is full of pit holes, oil puddles and trash.

Came to autozone to get assistance getting my new battery installed in my car. Older gentlemen was extremely rude and did not want to help us because we did not purchase the battery there. TERRIBLE. We were being helped by the lady at the counter almost done with our transaction when someone called, so she answers the phone and spends her time answering a million questions over the phone rather than helping their paying customers. Wish I could give them less stars. Every single time we go to this location, employees are rude and argumentative. Never helpful!

I went this morning to switch out one brake light bulb but it turned out that it was actually three of them that weren't working correctly. A man named Joel helped me and I have to say that he gave me the best experience at an auto zone I've ever had. I told him what was wrong and he immediately came out to my car, took out the bulbs from my tail lights, grabbed the ones I needed, checked me out, and installed them himself. He felt like a dad showing me how to install the lights and he taught me about the bulbs themselves. I learned how my bulbs worked now. He recommended me replacing all 4 because they weren't working correctly. As soon as I installed them my lights worked and looked way better. Thank you Joel. So so much. If anyone goes to this auto zone he's a older Hispanic guy with white hair and his name is Joel. He definitely knows his stuff. read more

Terrible service. People that work here don't even look like they want to be here. Wow... Slow service, I just wanted to buy some spray paint, Jesus, this was worse than a root canal. Also, employees here don't care if the line is long, they will still go to the back and disappear or answer phone calls. read more

Judged for willing to change simple coil by my self. Unscrewing 2 star bolts and screwing them again doesn't need test in rocket science.

My car had problem starting and I heard Autozone can test for free if the battery is bad. The person who helped me was Michael. He is very genuine and patient. He first used the tester which showed that my battery was bad. Then he brought a jumper to make sure whether my battery was bad or not. Throughout the entire time, he was willing to work with me and not making me feel pressured to make decisions at the time. The price he said to change the battery is also very comparable to other autoshops I know. Michael is great! I will go back again. read more

The store is alright. The problem is the waiting time to see a cashier. I used this store multiple times and it is always a problem.
