I live a mile from this AutoZone, I've been coming here for years. I'm an avid auto tech and spend most of my week working on vehicles. I frequent this location weekly. The last 3 years or so- their customer service has completely evaporated. No greeting- even after offering my own. The people working here don't speak fluent English and therefore, cannot communicate with me about parts or tools. It's super frustrating on top of their absolute disregard for engaging customers. I frequently am questioned about parts/tools that I am asking for. One employee in particular who's worked there for well over 2 years has argued with me about the parts I need, even after I give him a part number. The attitude is as if he knows what I need more than I do, (which would be great if it was true), but even after specifying my part- still insists that it's the wrong part. I asked for a part designated for a 2015 GMC just for the guy working to tell me that the part number was "similar" to a 2009 Chrysler part. Two COMPLETELY DIFFERENT part numbers- and he still says I'm wrong about what I need. I don't think I will be purchasing from this store anymore which is highly disappointing given the convenience of their location. However, I can't take the rudeness and incompetence any longer. This place needs a completely new staff who can tell the difference between a tire and a windshield wiper. Autozone- look into the staff of this store. They're hurting your brand. read more

I think they messed up my car bc it was starting and turning on just fine but then it wouldn't turn on after they put a new battery in. I would go somewhere else to have things fixed. They aren't mechanics so partly my fault for coming here. read more

I was pleasantly surprised to find an extremely helpful staff person that listened to my "non-mechanic" brain trying to explain my issue and what I wanted to try in order to not have to replace the whole radiator. This particular Autozone is pretty good. I get parts here often, usually because it's late and no where else is open until 10pm. The staff here is nice and helpful and the store isn't usually very busy, so the staff is always there to help. They'll recognize you and they'll do their best to help you out. I haven't had any problems with returns or warranties. Susan H. is right. If they have an out-of-stock parts, they'll check other stores but any Autozone will do this for you. I've found the staff here is not as knowledgeable as other stores (even other Autozones), but as with most parts stores like this, the counter staff turns over fairly regularly. The ones that really know what they're talking about, move on to other work, unless they're the manager. As with any parts store, check your parts before you leave so you don't have to come back when you find you have the wrong transmission pan gasket. Don't buy pre-diluted coolant (50/50), fuel treatments, muffler bearings or blinker fluid. Support your independent mechanic shops instead of giving money to the dealer. You can get your car washed for $5 elsewhere and save yourself a huge amount on parts *and* labor. The dealer doesn't necessarily have any better training or knowledge than an independent shop. Went in and got a new battery, young man working Saturday night was very helpful and knowledgeable. Prior to that mom and I went out to eat and when we tried to leave, battery was dead so until help came we were stranded for several hours. So you can say we were having a horrible time. Got jumped and made it home. Noticed Autozone closed at 10 so I removed battery from her vehicle and we went there. Young man ( I think his name is Steven) made our day 100% better. Of course mom asked questions, she says to give him experience but he was a trooper and will definitely go back. Excellent service and excellent knowledge. I learned something so that's a plus. Plus better warranties. Great place and great people. read more

Normally, this location is pretty decent and service is great. But tonight - not so much! I drove out of my way to this location to check my battery and potentially replace it. I walked in, and this older guy who spoke broken English, doesn't say "hi" or nothing - just starts mumbling something. I asked "what?" Mind you, I am barely 3 feet in the store. What he asked right off the bat was, "need bulb replacement?" Ummm no! My car cranks slowly, i need you to check it out. So, idk what else he said but we walk out and it took him 5 tries to test the battery. It's cold and raining. And he needed a flashlight. I ended up using my phone flashlight. After he determines my battery is no good, we proceed to the store. He turns around and says, turn it on, let me check the alternator. Okay... again 5 times before he's CERTAIN it's just the battery. Honestly at this point I'm not sure he knows what he's doing. Well anyways, it was an auto zone battery. It was barely 2 years old (Duralast Gold) and I've owned this car for 4 years. So i gave him my number and my fathers numbers to try and locate my car. I can't remember when or who changed the battery but obviously it was me. He can't find my car anywhere in the system. At this point i have my dad on the phone and I'm the middle man trying to relay info from my dad to this older gentleman who is incredibly annoying to deal with. I'm growing impatient and this other employee comes out from the back and can see my frustration. He tries to help speed things along and "translate" if you will and is soo nice that after I broke down in tears from frustration (long day) he walks over and gives me a hug and says "everything is going to be alright!" The older annoying employee that's been helping me, has to now go out and replace my battery. All the while, nice employee guy is telling him to chill out and do his job. I really wish I got nice guys name. Tall thin younger guy within blonde hair. Anyways older guy begins to replace my battery and drops tools inside my hood. He again needs a flashlight and takes my phone OUT OF HAND to point the light closer. I swear had he dropped my phone as well, it'd be over. He then decided to ask me personal questions about my personal life - judging me in a way. None of your business. Anyways, I ended up figuring out who replaced my battery from auto zone in 2016... AFTER paying full price. I mean, ok if I'm giving you every number i can think of (my dad has a business and many vehicles which is why i thought he may have used his number to replace my battery last time) ...oh never mind that. Well, my mechanic replaced my car battery while it was in the shop in 2016, didn't figure that out until after i got home. So HOPING i can get the mechanic to call there and confirm they ordered it for my car - in order to honor a warranty. All i wanted was to check my battery and replace it. But NOOO this fool decided he had every right to judge MEA for getting annoyed at him because i knew how to do his job better than he did. Next time, I'm sticking to auto zones near me. This was all unnecessary. What an IDIOT! Thank you nice auto zone employee guy for the hug and trying to help get me out of there in one piece. read more

So nice! my sister came to AutoZone to get her battery replaced, and a nice old little white man with such great energy was willing to help with great enthusiasm. It was relatively cold outside like ~50ish degrees, and he helped take out her battery and even replaced the battery for us. The best part was that my sister got her battery at AutoZone a few years ago so it was still under warranty, so we got it all done for FREE!! a new battery and installation. Lol to find out a week later that it was the wrong battery... lol BUT So amazing! totally a life saver. Customer Service here never fails! read more

Helpful people at this location. If you need something, they can search it up in their system, help you look for the cheapest option, and in some cases (like a windshield wiper) they'll even help you install it if you ask them! I can't ask for a better customer service here at Autozone, and I can see that they're glad to be at your service. read more

They are always very helpful and will usually come out to help you. The last time we were there the guy even came out and taught my son a little about his '94 pickup. Their credit card machine acts up kind of often, but just be patient and it'll take your card eventually. It's worth it for the extra help and the small town feel of a large chain like this one. read more

I visited this location the day prior and that was a 5 star visit. The rep was amazingly polite and informative and gave pertinent information and gave me space. I spent nearly 100 on his advice and had no regrets. However, my follow up visit was a 180. Initially I had purchased an air filter and a few other items. The air filter was the incorrect model and I just needed to do a quick exchange. I have the bag, the original packaging unopened, the receipt. I walked into the store and no one was at the counter. I proceeded to the air filters (located on the back wall, full view of the service desks) and grabbed the filter I needed. With my return item and the correct filter in tow, I got in the line behind another gentleman and waited my turn. A rep (older man, white hair, glasses) came to the front and picked up a call. Following the call completion, he motioned to me that it was my turn - What can I do for you? -- I need to make an exchange, grabbed the wrong filter yesterday. THIS IS WHERE IT ALL WENT DOWNHILL He typed something in the computer and walked off without telling me anything. After a few movements, he returns and says to me - My computer says we show an inventory of 2 (in regards to the item I am returning) and there is only 1 on the shelf (He pauses and waits for my response) At this point I'm somewhat confused. What exactly is he getting at? Is this atypical return question? Does Autozone typically check inventory counts with all customers who do returns? -- I don't know your inventory counts? The receipt is right there with you - It says we have 2 and now there is only 1. So.... did you bring this in with you? NOW I KNOW WHAT HE IS GETTING AT -- Yeah - Why didn't you come to the front to tell me you wanted to return it -- You weren't at the front - So... you sure you came in with this? -- Dude, obviously. I have the bag I have the receipt, what else do you need? He pauses and finally completes the purchase, then walks off without saying anything. I need to know if this is a typical line of questioning for returns. Is this Autozone best practice or reserved especially for me? Did he think I would go through all this trouble to steal a 9 dollar air filter? I want answers and I would like a response from an Autozone representative. read more

I can in today to pick up a part that my dad already bought. When I walked in the gentleman stared at me with a puzzled look. Didn't say "hi" or "how can I help you" just made it feel awkward. He went to go "get" the part but came back empty handed. Didn't give me a reason just said " it's late you'll have to come get it tomorrow." I Didn't understand, so he walked away. Autozone on Jupiter Rd. in Garland is one of the best around. My husband consistently gets great service there and told me this morning I needed to write a review for them. Randy works on cars and trucks pretty frequently, we've got several young adults out there with older cars so they tend to need quite a bit of maintenance. They always have the things he needs and if they don't, they know where to get it or order it for us. He says, "They're friendly, cost-conscious, and knowledgeable. If they don't have something in stock, they'll check other stores for you or even order and have it shipped in for you. Best prices and quality, and a range of prices to choose from." I had my check engine light come on so i made the trek up to auto zone. I was met by Enrique and he asked me to wait in the AC while he was helping someone else which was very kind as Texas heat is no fun. When he got to me which was very fast, he diagnosed the problem and very patiently explained exactly what the results meant. He answered all the questions I had and did not make me feel ignorant for asking the questions. I will go to Enrique from now on for all my auto part needs which hopefully isn't too much as these things get expensive!! read more

The customer service was excellent, and the older gentleman that works there is fantastic. He was very nice and sweet and helpful.
