Awful customer service. Called asking if they could help me with a problem and all I got was a guy with an attitude raising his voice at me.

I needed a new auto shop when I moved to Richardson. I found this business after reading the reviews. They take care of their customers. I know I will not be taken advantage of when I go to The Auto Pro Shop. I needed a very expensive part that showed me my gas levels and malfunctioned my check engine light. They found a used part for $300 over the insane price for a new part. If you are needing an auto repair, oil change, new brakes, new radiator you can trust this business. I took my car here to get a second opinion, and was told that something weren't necessary. They were able to assess what I really needed and the quote was reasonable. SO HONEST !!! I just moved to Richardson still have Nevada plates on my 2010 Lexus, I am a woman. My car was making a funny noise under the hood and although I maintain my vehicles well, I expected at 120k miles some bad news. I prepared myself to be on the defensive, about to.. as has happened countless times across all industries ... get a con job. SURPRISE! This shop offered to help me less than 30 minutes before they were closing! Not only did "Coach" the mechanic offer to take a look, he knew right away I was just out of steering fluid. WAIT! It gets better. He filled the reservoir AND WOULD NOT LET ME PAY A DIME!! KUDOS... and great marketing. You won a customer for life. Hands down the best auto shop I've ever been to! We've been taking our cars here for a couple of years now, and they are always honest, have good pricing, and do great work! We were heading out of town and the second we hit the highway my oil light came on, I called them and they got us in immediately. When they put my car up, they noticed my front tires were so bald that the wires were showing. Extremely unsafe. They popped on two used tires, topped off the oil, and we were back on the road an hour later. I'm so grateful they noticed the tires before our road trip with our family! read more

COMPLETELY DISHONEST I brought a car here because Delta Auto Group suggested them for the pre-buy inspection. The only thing they identified was a future break job would be needed. When I took the vehicle to a reputable auto repair shop, they identified numerous issues that should have been obvious during a basic inspection (including leaking oil that the Manager voluntarily lied about the vehicle not having.) In the end, there was over $5,000 of repairs needed. I am not saying that they colluded, but I would have pursued legal action if that was an option. read more

I'm not sure how I found out about the Auto Pro Shop 16 years ago, but I sure am glad that I did. I've gone to them for so many car issues that I can no longer remember (time may also be a culprit). I remember going to them one summer when my car was overheating and they plugged in the electric fan that was in front of the radiator which had somehow gotten dislodged. No charge and it solved the problem. Any place disreputable would have concocted ways to relieve me of my money but not the Auto Pro Shop. Definitely one of the most reliable and knowledgable mechanics in Richardson and dare I say in Dallas. In my estimation, it's hard to find a mechanic that is (1.) honest and (2.) reasonably priced. The Auto Pro Shop is both. I had my car towed here, which means I was basically at their mercy. They could have easily run up a huge bill--but they were very direct and fair about their prices. They initially thought my car had a larger problem, but when it turned out it was a smaller problem, they rolled a bit of the labor cost into the price of the smaller repair to save me a couple of bucks. These guys are awesome. My Dad owned one of the most reputable auto repair shops in Dallas for 54 years. My Dad was fanatical about quality work. I started working for him when I was 14 years old and worked for him "on and off" for years. So I know about cars, and I have been a "car guy" my whole life. And, I know quality automotive repair work. As a result I demand that the repairs to my car be done as I would do it. Which means that the repairs have to be totally 100% right. You get that, plus great service. And what you don't get are repairs that don't need to be done. If you have what you think is a dumb question, ask, and you will get a straight answer. The 1st time I brought my vehicle in, they let me know the part that needed replaced was actually a recall item and that a dealership would do it at no cost to me. Wow, I was impressed. We have used Autp Pro for over 10 years. They are always fair in their pricing, never recommend service that is not needed. In one case, a fuel pump they put in failed. I expected to have to pay for labor to re-install as the warranty is only on the pump. Calvin had the pump mfg pay for the labor to re-install AND the towing charge. He went beyond the norm! They are very busy, always a good sign. I typically drop the trucks off the night before. Never any problems. read more

Their prices seems to be honest and fair. However they are very nice to you until they get your vehicle. The gentleman at the Office front Calvin is very professional and knowledgeable. Not much else can be said about Ray who owns the place. He was completely nice at first until he got the vehicle to repair. They asked me to come get my vehicle at a specific time. The vehicle was not ready and when I called on Ray that I was going to be stranded going back, all he had to say was "yeah, pretty much". No apologies, nothing. Horrible car buying experience. I was promised that several items would be fixed on my new/used car. I've had nothing but problems. The check engine light came in less than a week. Took it to them and they kept it, leaving me to drive a loaner car (which the heat worked when it wanted to). After having my car for over a week they asked that I tell the loan company that the car was fixed and in my possession so their funds would be released (that was my bad). Again, they had it a while longer and swore it was fixed. WRONG!!!!! Check engine light came back on and was told by the salesman that he world check with the owner to see what they wanted to do. I guess nothing since I've yet to hear anything back from them. I hate that I ever went to this place and especially purchased a car from them. These people do not keep their word and will not own up to responsibility. DONT WASTE YOUR TIME OR MONEY. read more
