I have been to this store more than a few times. While I can say that their staff does their job,…read morethe do so in a very unfriendly way. Do not expect anything remotely close to above and beyond service, no smiles, no "hello, how are you?" Nothing! My most recent trip I arrived at 5:55pm. The store closes at 6:00pm. The lights were off and the door was locked with a closed sign. Ordinarily, that would be fine but I had to pick up a part that I had ordered the day before, in the store. I parked and walked up to the glass hoping to get someone's attention. One of the clerks pretended not to see me. I knocked on the glass hoping someone would come help me since there were still a few minutes until closing. Another employee looked up and started shaking his head at me. What does that mean?? Lastly, the guy who helped me order the part the day before, the guy who knew I need the part that day looked at me and shrugged his shoulders and proceeded to shake his head like I had severely annoyed him. I will let you make up your mind for yourselves. All I can say is that customer service of any kind is hard to come by these days. Prepare yourself.

And I've seen their parts particularly the remanufactured stuff is higher quality than some of the big chain stores meaning I've rarely had to return anything that has failed. Parts are not simply parts, there are a lot of remanufacturers, and you usually get what you pay for.

Good staff here. They definitely do well with customer service. Need to check a code on your car?…read moreGo here first, because going to a service place knowing what it is, can be quite helpful. The folks here are both efficient and friendly. Also they are quite knowledgeable about vehicle accessories and the like. Inflation has increased all over, but auto parts is through the roof. Even windshield wiper fluids cost is ridiculous. I'm not pleased about this, and find oil, along with other essentials high in cost now. No it's not only here, but it is frustrating. This store is convenient, and parking is a cinch. If you're in the area go here.

Maybe they are ok for buying parts but don't bother with their 'services'. All Advance Auto Parts…read moreshops will do certain tasks for free - like diagnosing your battery. So I came here to get my battery tested since I had to jump start my car earlier and I know the battery is quite old. First the lady asked me to move my car to right in front of the shop - it was literally no more than 10 meters away in an empty parking lot. But ok let me move it. Good thing I drove enough to the charge the battery so it started on its own this time. Then she proceeded to keep on readjusting the reader's clamps because the reader for some reason wasn't working. Didn't bother try getting another machine. Just told me I needed to go somewhere else to clean off the terminals. Seriously? You couldn't get some corrosion spray and a metal bristle brush? Went to another Advance Auto Parts shop and they had no issue diagnosing. Girl - you just had a bad machine. No vehicle expertise (or common sense) at this location.

I can't recommend The Car Doctor enough!…read more My transfer case catastrophically failed, and I was incredibly lucky that my car broke down just two minutes away from their shop. It was around 10:00 PM, so I searched Google for the nearest repair shop and found The Car Doctor. Even though they were closing, one of the employees took the time to help me drop off my car. That alone showed me they genuinely care about their customers. The next morning, my car was fully diagnosed, and they clearly explained the issue and gave me multiple repair options without any pressure. Since replacing the transfer case is a major job, I was told it would likely take a few days. To my surprise, I received a text message the very next day around 5:00 PM saying my car was ready for pickup! I honestly couldn't believe how quickly they completed such a big repair. The price was very fair, but what really stood out was the outstanding customer service, professionalism, honesty, communication, and efficiency. Everyone at the shop treated me with respect and made a stressful situation so much easier. Thank you to the entire team at The Car Doctor for taking such great care of me and getting me back on the road so quickly. You've earned a customer for life. Highly recommended!

I got there Sunday morning so went to the Mexican restaurant around the corner (it wasn't bad!) and then had a couple beers at the brewery around that corner. What stands out for me over the years is the people that do the work, including the service manager. There have been four eras at Oakton Sunoco over the past 25 years -- before Kevin, with Kevin, without Kevin, and now thankfully, with Kevin again. He brings a level of attention that I find rare -- he is also compassionate -- I have seen him work extra hard to give people down on their luck and needing a repair every coupon and discount he could find. I've probably spent $15,000 on repairs and $25,000 on gas at this Sunoco over the the past 25 years, perhaps more, on five or more cars over time, and I have always felt I was getting NEIGHBORHOOD service, world-class quality, and "Made in the USA" efficiency. This place works -- it works better when Kevin is here, so I hope he is not leaving anytime soon.

I waited in the line to get inspection and then they didn't do my emissions inspection so I had to wait in line to get my emissions done. Except that the inspector disappeared so I had to wait even longer the second time. Manager would not comp me for the second inspection even though this cost me an extra 40 minutes. He finally offered me only $4 off, so I guess my 40 minutes wasted is with $4.
