I was clearly discriminated against when I came in asking to purchase a 2015 Honda Accord battery under my grandparents dealership account when I realized that because they no longer have this dealership that the account may no longer be active (all while on speakerphone with my grandmother) ultimately we decided just to purchase outright not under a dealership account at this point, all employees have went behind the counter where I am unable to see and our whispering she comes from behind the counter asked if I happen to have my ID with me (ma'am it's illegal to not carry identification with you) yes I do, then proceeds with the transaction get my grandmother's card numbers from her via my phone, charges the card, charge goes through. She lets my grandmother know and hands the phone back. I end the call with my grandmother and then they keep me in the establishment for 10 minutes telling me it needs to process and they made a signature....fine I sign at this point I should be able to leave. I am then asked for my ID after purchase has already been made and I've already waited to sign. I handover my ID willingly but then asking why do you need my ID? They proceed to tell me that they don't even need to do this. They are doing me a favor. Then proceeds to ask me did we not tell you that we were gonna use your ID no sir you did not. I was just asked if I had it on me. Looks at his employee. And doesn't even acknowledge. The fact if this is a business establishment and you are not supposed to do it I don't want a favor from you and I proceeded to let him know if it was going to be a problem we live in 2026 now and I could've just had my grandmother Zelle me the money and it could've been on my credit card. I went in to get my wiper blades replaced. I had offered $20 for the service which George accepted after being very surly--- rolling his eyes and sighing. It took him 7 minutes to do the installation which I did pay him for as promised. No other auto parts store charges for the service. If they treat people so disrespectfully I don't think I'll be back as there are plenty of other parts store available. I did speak to Eli who was the manager who was sympathetic to my complaints. My battery was completely dead. The tow service informed me that Auto Zone would install the battery for free if I purchased it from them. Holly helped me. I chatted them up a bit too much, but luckily it was later in the evening and business was slower. They did a great job switching out the battery. I also forgot to ask about the veteran's discount. I called when I got home, and the person on the phone said I could come by the next day and take care of it. The mornings and middle-of-the-day are much busier, but the employee helped me and got the veteran's discount taken care of for my battery purchase. I had noticed I had a headlight out on my vehicle and was on East Ave-near Auto Zone / Auto Parts. Decided to "stop in" at approximately 7:45 PM this evening. Wanted to check on head light products & prices and didn't think they would have what I was looking for, as my headlights were a custom type. The wonderful staff assisted me with picking out the correct light: that they did carry for my model & make vehicle. One employee even helped to assist me, let me borrow some tools as well to install the headlight on my BMW. By the way when I noticed that there was a basket they just stood there and nobody help me get my things into my basket. They asked other customers for help but not me and there were people who were here yesterday who remember me I was nice to everyone and thank them and I spent money and didn't steal anything since no reason why anyone should have bad feelings for me I'm a showered and dressed so whatever. I told her I needed to know the amount so that I can transfer funds and she acted like a big deal so she rang it up and then you transferred the money in like 10 seconds and then she's like oh was this yours and she had forgotten the cup holder so I was like well you know I've already made a transfer it's short $4 do you have a coupon or something I'm going to look in my email from you guys to make sure you haven't sent me a coupon or I'm going to have to take something out because it's not convenient for me to do another transfer. I only go to this Auto Zone location as it is closest to my home. It has to be the WORST auto parts store as far as service is concerned that I have ever been to! Employees hide out in the back of the store every time I'm there. Today was the straw that broke the camel's back. I came in to get some oil. A kid was stocking the shelves in this not very large store. The sales floor is maybe 250 square feet. A manager was at the register, greeted me, and ducked in the back while I got my oil off the shelf. I get to the register and waited. I wanted to see how long it would take to pay. After 5 minutes of waiting at the counter (with the kid right behind me still stocking the shelf), someone comes in, gets assisted (by the kid stocking the shelf) with a $3 part off the shelf, pays and leaves within 2 minutes!!!! I'M STILL WAITING TO PAY FOR MY OIL!!!! I complain to the kid, after the other customer leaves, and he says the other guy came to get him. Very unacceptable. I told him maybe one of the employees in the back could come out from hiding since they know there are customers in the front. I was so irritated, I forgot about asking on pricing on a car battery. This is typical. With a store full of customers, employees hide in the back. I can be dropping off old motor oil and employees can't seem to be bothered. They see you and run off. Then you probably are familiar with that dread of going to an auto parts store where they talk down to you or make you feel like you're interrupting their personal phone time. Well, NOT at this Autozone! These employees are awesome! I thought I needed a very expensive part, but Parts Manager, Craig, came out to my car and checked a few things and let me know it was just a belt. He also checked battery and alternator and they were fine. I really like that they let you use a code reader for no charge, too. It saves a LOT of time trying to guess what it is. I am a regular AutoZone customer (the Folsom store), but unlike the previous reviewer, I just had an awesome experience at this store. Went in to have my battery checked and, after confirming with the rep behind the counter that it could be done immediately, I pulled the battery from my Jeep. It was, indeed, checked right away and the rep diagnosed a bad battery (less than 2 year old Duralast) and before I could say "Boo" he went over and grabbed a new one and rang in the swap. He then offered to come out and check my starter and alternator after I put in the new battery. Again, the check was performed quickly and efficiently (no problem with either) and he gave me some tips as to how I might diagnose a suspected short. All around great service! read more

Went in to replace a relay 15 minutes after the store opened and had to wait for employees to do do morning paperwork/prep and count money before anyone would even acknowledge customers waiting to be helped. Then the only service I got was being told what aisle to find them instead of assisting me with finding the correct one I needed. I walked out and went to Reibe's on Cohasset. tried to purchase water pump from store manager. i have a receipt detailing my $20 reward which i tried to use. he refused. he said i had to have the physical card(which was lost or never had for ??years??). his solution was for me to take a new card(which i will dont have space to carry) and call some number and get old points on new card and then come back... hopefully. his only response when asked why was that someone in line might steal my number if i said it out loud. ridiculous!!! i left, very, very, frustrated!!! and went to another store to get my needs met. i cant see myself going back to customer service like this. he didnt offer any way to get the $20 off right then, no offer of help. it was a take-it/leave-it sort of thing. His name is Craig Green and we went in to ask about a power steering pump, we couldn't get a certain part off and we were told that autozone might be able to help... So we casually strolled in, we weren't greeted and assisted right away even though 5 people were working at the time! We stood there for 5-8 mins. holding a heavy power steering pump without any assistance! Once we were finally assisted, the manager (Craig) helped us and my boyfriend asked if he would be kind enough to also help is put the part on the new pump, that's when Craig gave us the dirtiest look and said "OK, what do you expect me to do? I'm helping you without charge and now you're adding extra things for me to do" I got pissed and then my boyfriend disregarded his rude additiude and said "oh it's fine we can figure out how to do it, but thank you!" The manager then said "I'm telling you to go get the new part so I can do it for YOU" after giving us another rude grimace.. It was the kind of face the you make at someone when they ask a stupid question. I felt completely uncomfortable and hope that this message is seen by corporate and they fire him, because I have never been so disrespected from a store manager. Ohh and he also pretended like nothing was wrong and that he didn't disrespect us at all. Which is just horrible, the least he could have done was acknowledged that he was wrong and apologized.
