Even when the process got difficult, Nando didn't flinch when it came to going to bat for me to get the deal done. If you shop here, ask for Nando directly--he is the only reason this purchase crossed the finish line. Unfortunately, desk management and the finance office were a completely different story. It became obvious very quickly that walking in as an educated consumer who did their homework, brought a direct pre-approval, and refused hidden fees hit a serious nerve--cutting into their planned back-end profits and triggering unnecessary roadblocks. Undisclosed "VAG Theft Code" & Line-Item Scrutiny: Management attempted to sneak a "VAG theft code" fee onto the contract--an add-on that was completely absent from any online pricing or vehicle listings. A vital reminder to all buyers: Review every single line item on your deal sheet before signing anything. Under FTC rules regarding deceptive pricing and hidden junk fees, mandatory add-ons excluded from advertised prices violate federal standards. Under California law and the Car Buyer's Bill of Rights, dealers cannot force dealer-installed accessories, etching, or theft products as mandatory conditions of sale. You have the absolute right to decline them. Desk Delays & Manufactured "Red Flags": Standing my ground to get the theft fee removed and refusing to use their in-house lender clearly disrupted their profit margins. Suddenly, desk management stalled for hours claiming they were "running into red flags"--dragging what should have been a straightforward transaction until nearly 7:00 PM simply because direct financing eliminated their ability to shop my credit and mark up loan terms. Finance Office APR Games & Disrespect (Nick Millhouse): Sitting down with Nick Millhouse in finance, I was presented with an interest rate marked up well above my verified pre-approved terms. The moment I held up my pre-approval confirmation on my phone and prepared to walk out, he stepped away and returned minutes later with the correct rate honored. That was immediately followed by a heavy-handed push for an overpriced "wrap" warranty, along with dismissive remarks when I declined. Next-Day Administrative Breakdown & Dismissive Attitude: The disorganization followed into the next day. Contract copies were never emailed as promised. When I stopped in the following afternoon during school pickup to retrieve my documentation and agreed-upon cash-back check, the check still was not cut. Rather than taking accountability, Nick was completely dismissive, treating the delay and the expectation for me to make multiple trips back to the store as "no big deal." Forcing a paying customer to repeatedly chase down their own funds and standard paperwork is unacceptable. Nando deserves all the credit in the world for standing by his customer and earned every bit of 5 stars. But management and finance--specifically Nick Millhouse--need to understand that informed buyers will review every line item, know their consumer rights, and will not tolerate showroom delays, hidden add-ons, or total disregard for a customer's time.
