Let me tell y'all. This is literally the 4th dealership I have bought from in Arlington. Every other experience was a nightmare. I have finally had an easy and smooth experience with Auto Max. I walked in. We got right to work - no wait. Left with a vehicle for a small down payment. Mike Smith and Corey were very kind and didn't make us feel like we were being hustled by used car salesmen at all! They worked with us to fit our needs plus they were efficient. The office was spacious and very comfortable. Welcoming and upbeat, unlike everywhere else I've been. Small vending machines inside and great eateries within minutes! The car was in incredible condition compared to the other dealerships I've been to. From body to mileage, Auto Max beat all the others easily. There is a good selection of vehicles at this location plus they pull from other lots. They provided a carfax - bonus! I was going to ask for one. We got to test drive it as well. Auto Max easily trumps all the others when it comes to the buying process and selection. ALL of the staff was incredible. I believe I interacted with every single one and they were all upbeat and ready to help. Good luck finding your next car! read more

DO NOT BUY A CAR FROM HERE! Our first car experience wasn't so bad. We had to take it to their shop after the first month and they fixed it. It will be paid off next year after having it for 4 years. Fast forward to July 2026, we needed a new car cause we had an accident in our other vehicle. We got a Chevy Traverse and after having it almost 3 weeks, it wouldn't crank. I contacted the finance department and they did something and it started back working. That was weird cause we weren't late or anything. Then it started hesitating on me and I became concerned. They told me I could bring it in and swap it for another vehicle. I was nervous to drive it back over there. They told me to leave the kids in the car and they would just have someone to pick it up. They couldn't tell me when or give me a heads up. The car just disappeared one morning. I went to the dealership once I noticed that they picked up the vehicle. We loved the new vehicle they gave us. However, it started making a weird noise after having it for a month. I called Vanessa and she said I could bring it in. I tried calling her that morning before taking it up there and firs they said she was coming out of a meeting and would call me. No call. I called back and they said she wasn't at her desk. At first she was going to take our keys and get it fixed. When I asked for a loaner until it got fixed, she said her manager said it wasn't anything that they could do because it was a little over a month! First of all, this is the vehicle that ya'll swapped the last car for and she could have told me this over the phone! I was so upset! I asked if I could speak with the manager. He would not speak to us and she had an attitude. Now we are having to pay to have it checked out to see what the issue is. This is ridiculous! We are never going back there again (well to pick up my sticker that I have yet to get..smh). This was the worst experience ever! Save yourselves the trouble! By looking at these reviews, I can see that we weren't the only ones! They need to be shut down! read more

So I've had my 2016 Chevy traverse since January I've had no problems with the car at all when I went to got a oil change they were impressed on the maintenance on the car! the last place that it was maintained was with automax And yes I've had minor things needing to be done to it but nothing major at all. I absolutely love my car.!!!! read more

The worst of the worst. They are not to be believed for one second. Even if the repair is listed in the we owe section of your contract; they will back out and try to lie to you about it, hoping you don't catch them in the lie. When they unwind the deal or cancel the contract, they lie about the refund process as well. They're petty and drag their feet on fixing their mistake. They focus on high risk customers and bank on the desperation for approval. They overprice their vehicles by thousands of dollars - verified by a little research to retail comparisons online from other dealers. THOUSANDS... 7 or 8 on certain vehicles they know catch the customer's eye. Don't call them out on it either because all they say is: I can't do nothing about no price.... exact verbiage from the manager that handles the refunding process. Lots of finger pointing because it's always someone else's job or someone's fault. They state they'll call you but you literally have to beg them and be in their face for a response on an actual issue. They forget how to call you back when it involves them giving you money back, but they sure are quick and easy to get a response from up until you swipe your card. They hope you don't know your buyer's rights... I highly suggest you take your time in front of their cameras (because they do record you signing the documents) and READ EVERY LINE of your contract and make sure any repairs they promised are listed in the we owe section. DO NOT ACCEPT DELIVERY of this vehicle if they did not do what they were supposed to do. DO NOT DRIVE OFF THE LOT. You will never see your money back and you will be stuck with a vehicle that is double the retail price and no way out of the contract. Last but not least, they stick extra fees into the contract for insurance in the amount of $112 every 2 weeks in addition to a $54 payment processing fees per payment to use THEIR car app to pay. That is over $300 dollars a month ON TOP of the actual car payment. So if you do the math - @ 30 months... that's an extra $9,360! Some of this information is hidden in there, you will look over it. They will not provide any answers if you ask them about this probably because they don't have any, they were just hoping you didn't notice!!! They are predatory and will take advantage of you. To make it all worse, their "official" BBB web profile isn't accurate. They have 4 or 5 different profiles but only one that is official and states BBB accredited WITH an A+ rating, but when you go to make a complaint against them, it directs the complaint to Dollar rental cars. An entirely different company. It's rigged and full of lies just like their dealership (all of them under MEI auto - Mi Gente, Autotrader, Truckmax, etc....) Same owners, same business ethics but hopefully that issue will be resolved shortly, it has been reported to the BBB office. read more

THE ABSOLUTE WORST.!!! this is the SECOND TIME, within three months, that my motor went out in my car.!! I lost my job the first time because it took them two months to fix it. Charged me $5,000 to fix it. I called back the day after getting my car back to tell them the car still isn't fixed and was denied a replacement. now a month later, the motor is out again. They telling me to find my own mechanic. but I'm still paying the car note. like huh.? read more

If I could give zero stars, I would. If you don't have credit, please just walk or buy a bike, DO NOT COME HERE. They will sink your credit as low as humanly possible and not care. This company has not only lied to me but treated me and my mother with absolute disrespect. I was told the timing chain repair on my Hyundai Elantra would take one to one and a half weeks. It's now been nearly three weeks, and I still don't have my car. Every other certified shop I've spoken to said this is a job that should take 8-12 hours, max 1-2 days. They've been charging me for a car I haven't even had in my possession. And now they're demanding a lump sum payment just to release the car -- after I've already lost my job because I had no transportation. When my mother called to try and help, she was met with nasty, rude behavior from a staff member. That's unacceptable. This is a clear breach of contract and unprofessional on every level. I've already started filing complaints with the BBB, the Texas Attorney General, and the CFPB. I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone. The way they treat people -- especially when they know they're in the wrong -- is disgusting. read more

Don't buy from these people. They sold me a lemon for more than the car is worth and at interest rates twice as high as a real dealership just approved me for. The vehicle from here has broken down every month since they sold it to me, and cost $1500 each repair. You will be better off literally any where else. If I could leave no starts I would. They don't even deserve the 1 star. read more

I wish I could give ZERO stars. if you're reading this then please read the comments and know they're all true. I wish I'd read the reviews and left this place to dust. I got my vehicle abs it was supposedly 138k miles and 7 months later it was at 139k miles and the transmission is gone in it. That means the transmission was already going out. I called them ans they wanted me to pay for a transmission in a vehicle that was already messed up. Then the so called manager told me all of their vehicles transmissions and motors go out around 7 months. I said that means you're selling lemons. he hung up on me. I work from home and don't drive a lot. These people threatened me, telling me they're gonna ruin my credit, I won't be able to get anything else...guess what they just picked it up a week ago at my request because I think it was a lemon and it's already on my credit. Listen to me...dodge that bullet and go somewhere else. read more

Worst car dealership ever! They sell you junk cars and are no help when it comes to fix or replace.Paid $2790 for a new transmission and went out in a week, constant liers and never keep their word.I would highly recommend no one do business with this company as I regret buying anything from them.As of now still currently waiting for them to fix my vehicle.Save yourself time and money and don't do it!!! read more

I went to Auto One not because I couldn't get a car anywhere else but I wanted to give my business to ppl who looked like me. I went in real stupid as if I didn't know anything about cars just to see if they would screw me over and they did ! I got a 2014 Dodge Dart Rally E from these people yesterday 06/02/2018. The problems with this car without me even taking it to a Mechanic is. 1. Alignment 2. Tires need to be replaced 3. I asked the sales person JD what the light on in the dashboard ment just to see if he would tell me the truth. This dude said it was tire pressure yall . Basically the car needs an oil change 4. The bluetooth NEVER worked and they acted like it was not their responsibility to know this. 5. They don't have the original key to the car so when you lock the door then try to get back in the alarm Always sounds I came in with a budget and knew exactly what car I wanted and JD wanna be rapper aka JOU'VAUGHN DAVIS gave me a BS spill about I wouldn't get this or I wouldn't get that because of my budget. JD is a joke this dude doesn't know a thing about cars let alone selling them. He was more interested in telling me about how he was "a rapper" lmao what a joke. Basically don't get your car from these ppl they are scholars in screwing you over. This car will be back on their lot soon if anyone is interested in putting this amount of money into a already over priced car. I left it at Pep boys and told them where they can pick it up. I found a CASH car with everything I requested that these ppl said I couldn't have. I will be reporting then to the BBB If they are certified something I highly doubt . Thank the universe this was just an experiment and I didn't loose any real money. Clowns read more

klarence did a amazing job at helping me get in a car and was quick with it awesome wholesome place defin recommend coming here to get a car

Do NOT buy a car from here. I went in looking for a reliable car, and they sold me a car and told me it was one of the most reliable cars they had. Not even a week of having it, I had to spend money to get it fixed. I have had non stop issues with the car since I've had it. It's a piece of crap and I'm paying way too much for it. If you get a car from here you will regret it like I do. read more

Klarence will definitely get your your vehicle, great customer service, professional, and knowledgeable.

Don't buy a car from them, they're gonna ask you to review them before you leave to make the site looks good, they're crooked ppl and just care about money! No help at all in no department, finance, sales, or service. They send you all over the place. Don't get a car from them you'll be better off walking, if you look at the 1 star reviews you'll notice it has a sweet message at the top then an updated message saying how they regret getting the car. They bought us food when we went up there and then asked us to make a review before we even got into the car fr, notice all the good reviews have pictures attached and they're still on the lot. DONT GET A CAR FROM HERE THEY'RE SHIT PPL AND THEY TELL YOU ANYTHING TO HELP YOU LEAVE THE LOT WITH A CAR BUT ONCE YOU'RE OFF THE LOT HOPEFULLY YOU MAKE IT HOME SAFE read more

Please DO NOT use them even if you are in need of a vehicle. These people will lie to get your money. I recently got a second car from them and this was absolutely the worst experience with them. I was put in a 2013 Ford Fusion and I've had trouble on top of trouble since having this lemon. It cuts off while in traffic how safe is that???? I've talked with salesman's and even left voicemail for the general manager and no return phone to resolve this mess. My radio mysteriously stopped working. I put 2000 down on something I can't drive due to them disconnecting the GPS but yet they still call for the payment I missed due to having repairs done. I didn't expect this type of services after having a good experience with my other car that I got from them but I went to the location on Division Street. Buyers beware!!!!! read more

Terrible place! I bought a 2014 Chevrolet Sonic last year and I've been having nothing but problems ever since I got it. I was told by a mechanic that the car needs a compressor & its almost $2000! This company is not to be trusted. Can you say #Shady & #Grimey Salesman, Andrew Martinez, sold me a vehicle back in July 2017. After going over payment and payment due date, I told him I would rather pay the note once a month. He then says "You have to be set up on auto draft today and every two weeks for the 1st six months of financing." I said ok. Now that I have kept the six month auto draft, I called him to move forward with the one month payment option. He says "All payments must be on auto pay for any loan financed with Mahrough Enterprises International (M.E.I) Inc. As the saying goes "If it's not in writing, it does not exist!" Andrew Martinez, MEI and AUTOMAX does not have your best interest at hand. Not fair I have to even give them a one star rating. They deserve a negative star! My buyer's experience with AUTOMAX is graded F minus. I would not recommend this company to anyone I know. Regardless of your credit, you will have better luck at a reputable DFW metro Used car dealer. AUTOMAX and MEI suck! Read the reviews, wish I had done so before the tarnished relationship. read more

They lie to during the signing process. I don't know how many times I've called finances to let them know that I'm not on the every 2 week payments. Still hasn't changed it. Their communication is garbage and the managers are just no good at all. They don't try to work with you and they definitely won't fix your car. read more

This has been the worst car buying experience I have ever had! You can't get a clear answer from management to save your life regarding anything. I wouldn't recommend anybody to go here ever. I was told to come back with one down payment amount and when I went back the down payment was higher than I was advised. The car I wanted was idling more than normal so I was told it would go to the shop on Monday and I would get a call on Tuesday for pickup which did not happen. It took me to reach out to the lot in order to get an update which they took all day to get back to me with nothing more than "it's not ready" I then had to contact the service center directly myself to find out more information. I was advised by the service center they did not get the car until Tuesday (which again the lot told me they would take it on Monday) and did not know what was wrong nor when the car would be ready because they hadn't even started on it. When I expressed the major inconvenience this has caused the manager Ron and the service guy Bruce showed no consideration as to how they were handling things. Yes, every person will do what they need to do to make a sale however if it wasn't for any of their customers they wouldn't make anything. Better customer service and professionalism is needed. If they were in their customer's shoes they wouldn't appreciate being given the run around. I would rather take the chance of having a heat stroke walking than to ever get anything here. They talk about referring 8 people but I wouldn't even refer a dog! read more

I wish I could give this car place zero stars. 1st of all I purchased my car in Feb of 2021 from Arlington truck center which no longer exist. I was scammed out of a car because I was vulnerable and desperate. The first issue I had with this car is the power steering was fucked up. I took this car back 3 times within a week or purchasing it. First it had no power steering fluid, then it had no cap on the power steering, then finally they said it had a hole in it. I was struggling to drive this car with my kids during the winter storm which was dangerous. Then the check engine light came on. I took it to autozone and the catalytic converter needed to be replaced. I took the car back 3 more times for them NOT to fix it. And it's still NOT fixed. They gave me 2 loaner cars one which they had to TOW BECAUSE IT DIED ON ME AT WORK. After that, June 2021 the alternator and a/c compressor went out along with the temperature gauge. I had to replace that. While replacing those things I need assistance with putting the car note to the back of the loan cause I couldn't afford it with paying for all these car repairs. They laughed in my face and told me it was nothing that they could do but for me to come up with the car payment. The account manager is very fucking rude. I don't see how she still has a job. My starter is now going out in this car and I cannot afford to pay this car note so I asked for it to be pushed to the back of the loan and I was told that I do not qualify for that and they threating me to tow the car. I just hit a year and haven't been able to enjoy this car not one bit and on top of all these repairs. The blend door actuator is clicking very bad. THEY ARE SCAMMERS. THEY TAKE YOUR MONEY AND RUN WITH IT. I NEED TO GET A FUCKIN ATTORNEY. read more

I purchased a vehicle from them last year and I went in with only $500 but they told me I needed at least $1000 for a down payment.. I told them I didn't have it and when I was getting ready to leave, they said they can get me in a vehicle for only $500.. but then they kept pushing for the $1000 and because I desperately needed a vehicle, I had to borrow the other $500 but the vehicle that they gave me already needed work done a little after I drove off the lot with it such as my horn does not work, my lights don't work either, and only one does work.. the people here at auto Max do not care about getting you an efficient vehicle or making sure that you are well taken care of, they only care about making a sale and that's it.. the vehicle that I got from here also came with a warranty, but when I went back to auto max to ask about the warranty, they said there was nothing they can do and to go to another auto body shop.. what kind of establishment give something to you but not explain in detail what he can be used for?? This was the worst place I've ever done business with and I do not recommend them at all.. read more

Rip off tote the note type dealer. Don't go there. Overpriced and some rebuilt wrecked cars. Pass on this place.

This company is absolutely horrible. After I purchased this almost a month ago I have tried to get in contact with the manager multiple times with no luck. I have expressed the severity of my call to every single person who has answered the phone. I began making these calls within the first 7 days. The vehicle had been bought from an auction and the carfax showed that it had been wrecked. Now I was under the impression they had serviced this vehicle. By week 3 I just talked to the service manage and he told me the only tickets he had were for an oil change and a detail. So with that being said I have since then took it my mechanic to have it checked out fully and to see what exactly was wrong. The list is ridiculous. Tie rod is bad, struts, shock, control arm and ball joint. The entire front end is messed up. I just want them to either fix it or replace vehicle or simply give me down payment back so I can get something different. I have called sent messages on the website with no return call of any kind. DO NOT GO HERE, YOU WILL NOT HAVE A GOOD EXPERIENCE!!!! read more
